A. Keogh 90'+
M. Reus 32', 40'
M. Özil 55'
M. Klose 58'
T. Kroos 61', 83'
Full-time! The late concession of a goal will not dampen German spirits here tonight. Reus was fantastic as Die Mannschaft put in an incisive performance. 6-1, and Sweden's up next for the visitors. That's all from me, y'all. Stay tuned to Goal.com for all the reaction to this clash.
90' + 2'
90' + 2'
90' + 2'
GOAL!! Brady swings in the resulting corner and Keogh is there to head home. It won't go any way to restoring any pride, though.
90' + 2'
What a save!! Neuer produces a fantastic stop from Andy Keogh, who had wriggled free. Great awareness from the Bayern keeper.
90' + 1'
Another ball down the left goes across the face of goal, but is collected by Boateng, who tees up Kroos, who has his shot saved.
Muller gets down the left and flashes the ball across the face of goal, but it flies to the other side of goal.
Germany are just stroking it around now. This game is long over - the only possible change will see the visitors score again.
Yellow CardHolger Badstuber
Badstuber blemishes an otherwise perfect evening for the Germany defence by picking up a yellow card.
Germany have managed seven shots on target today, and six have gone in. Astonishing. Westwood hasn't even been playing poorly.
GOAL!! It''s 6-0 now and Ireland are heading for a record home defeat. Kroos darts past McCarthy, and smashes it into the back of the net.
Germany are really in heavy possession now and are encamped in the Ireland box. A 5-0 loss would equal Ireland's record home defeat, but could it be even worse than that?
Westwood makes a save!! Ozil sprints down the right and plays it back to Boateng, who blasts it goal-wards, but the keeper stops him from grabbing his first international goal.
Yellow CardShane Long
To compound a miserable night for Ireland, Shane Long gets a booking for an atrocious tackle. Completely unnecessary.
Badstuber swings at the ball, and misses it, but there's no danger whatsoever, and Neuer claims it with ease.
Andrew has a shot from about 30 yards, but it's hardly better than the one he had in the first half and flies wide.
Boateng forces the ball across the face of goal to Schurrle, who shoots, but sees his strike easily charged down.
And now Andre Schurrle will be coming on for Miroslav Klose. Just three more goals until he equals Gerd Muller's record...
Andy Keogh, fresh on as a substitute, gets into a good position down the right and tries to play it into the middle, but Badstuber is there to mop up the danger with easy.
Ireland have a bit of possession for now, and Westwood is in absolutely no rush to get the ball forward.
Boateng makes a great dart down the right and almost plays it back to Klose, only for O'Dea to get across and happily concede a corner. This looks to be a good opportunity for Klose to chip away at Gerd Muller's goalscoring record.
As if things weren't bad enough for Ireland, Podolski is now taking to the field for Germany. If he can continue his recent club form for Arsenal, they could be in real trouble.
Muller takes up another great position and almost plays in Reus, but the pass is slightly over-hit. Seems like a matter of time until Germany get another one now.
Germany are really rampant now. They win possession on the edge of the box and play in Klose, who it only stopped by a decent tackle from O'Shea.
GOAL!!! Toni Kroos gets his name on the scoresheet. Ozil tries to chip the ball in, but O'Shea's tame header gives it straight to the Bayern midfielder, who blasts into the back of the net on the volley. Magnificent goal!
REUS!! Great chance for his hat-trick as he takes it around Westwood only for Coleman to get across and make a great tackle.
GOAL!!! This is getting embarrassing now. Muller plays a beautiful ball through to Klose, who rounds Westwood and finishes from the tightest of angles. Beautiful goal.
Schmelzer makes another run forward and Reus tries to play it forward to him, but it's well cut out by Coleman.
Well, that's that now. Another Germany goal, and the hosts are sinking. Any chance of comeback is well and truly killed off by that goal, surely. Germany can pick their number now, it seems.
Penalty GoalMesut Özil
GOAL!! Ozil takes his customary short run-up and slots it into the left-hand side with the goal. Clinical penalty.
PENALTY! Muller plays the ball across to Klose, who controls the ball, but is promptly brought down by O'Dea.
It's been a slightly more encouraging start to the second half from Ireland here. Trap's men have won a corner, which was eventually cleared, and a free kick, which ghosts through, but is blocked well by Neuer.
Ireland almost fashion an opportunity as Cox is played in on the left. Neuer shapes up, expecting the forward to cross, but is nearly caught out by his eventual shot. But, the Bayern man was there to block it away with his feet.
Almost a great opportunity for a third! Reus swings in the free kick, but a defensive touch takes it away from Klose, who came charging in at the far post.
Yellow CardDarren O'Dea
Kroos, fresh off the bench for Khedira, in my by Muller, but a clumsy tackle on either player from Darren O'Dea sees him booked.
And Germany get the second half under way, and immediately settle back into possession.
So, we're edging closer to the second half - will Germany kick on and win the game convincingly? Stay tuned to find out...
And that's half-time. After a fairly even opening, Germany, and Marco Reus have stepped it up, and the Dortmund forward's two strikes separate the teams.
There's such an obvious gulf in quality between these two sides now. Ireland really showed some good invention in the opening 10-15 minutes, but Germany have really dominated possession since.
Well, that's probably that. Reus has well and truly taken his domestic form into the international stage and Germany are looking to be a well-oiled machine again - this is much better than the games against Austria and Faroe Islands.
GOAL!! That's probably it. Germany counter with Ozil at the fore, and Boateng sprays it over to Reus, who blasts it into the back of the net from the edge of the box. Fantastic play.
Muller, who has been very busy building links between midfield and attack, picks up the ball 30 yards from goal and blasts it well over. His end product has been fairly poor all day.
And again! More carelessness in possession from Cox and Muller drifts in, picks up the ball and tries to spray it across the box for Klose, but again, it's cut out.
Germany are in the mood now. Schweinsteiger tries to play a ball in to Reus again, but sees it cut out. However, Germany immediately recover possession and pass it around again. Another goal before half-time would really kill this one off.
GOAL!!! Reus makes amends. Schmelzer makes a dart forward, but can't quite get the ball under control in the Ireland box. However, Reus storms in and smashes the ball over Westwood. Great goal!
Yellow CardMarco Reus
Unbelievable decision. O'Shea is in possession inside his own box, but dithers on the ball, allowing Reus to dart in and seize possession. The Dortmund winger goes down, but receives a booking. However, replays showed that it should been a penalty.
Khedira receives the ball 30 yards from goal again, but this time tries to chip it into Klose, but Coleman gets across well and clears the danger.
Perhaps unsatisfied with his side's lack of penetration, Khedira blasts an effort goalwards from about 30 yards, but it's charged down and goes out for a corner, which fails to threaten the Ireland back line.
Cox's ball into the box is easily cut out by Mertesacker and the a groan rings out around the stadium.
Germany are really starting to dominate possession now, but Ireland are more than happy to sit back and soak up the pressure and crowd them out. Reus' intricate touch is easily cut out by O'Shea on the edge of the box.
Khedira tries to play the ball through to Klose now, but it's far away from the striker and it drifts harmlessly out of play.
Nervous moment for Germany! Ireland play yet another ball over the top which Walters tries to latch on to, but Neuer charges out of his box, beats the Stoke man to it, and heads it away.
More lovely combination play from Germany now, but no player seems willing to shoot with a sea of Ireland players inside their own box. Eventually, Klose tries an effort, but it's soon charged down.
At the other end, more slick play just about plays in Muller, but the Bayern star's first touch is heavy and it slips out of play.
What a chance!! Another punt over the top looks to have played in Walters, but Boateng just about gets across prods it out of his path.
First real chance of the game for Germany. Reus receives Ozil's pass just inside the Ireland area and chips it over to Muller, who jumps too soon and heads it over.
So, it's been a positive start from both teams in Dublin. Germany are starting to combine well, while Ireland look very capable of threatening their opponents with the long ball.
Germany combine beautifully, counterattacking with Klose, Ozil and Muller all playing classy one-touch football. However, when Jerome Boateng took possession and looked to lay it off, there's a huge lack of communication and it's placed far away from the Lazio striker.
This time, the visitors' back line gets the better of Walters, playing him offside as he looked to latch onto a Cox through ball.
Walters is proving to be a real nuisance for the Germany back line. This time, he buys a foul from Mertesacker as the two challenged for a ball over the top. A nice, familiar Arsenal - Stoke battle, there.
Horrible moment! Muller picks up the ball from the resulting throw, and chips in a lovely ball. Ward is there again, but is reticent to use his right foot and sliced it over his own bar. That could well have gone in.
First show of intent from Germany now. Klose picks out Muller's excellent run, but Ward got across well and put it out for a throw.
McGeady strings a lovely ball through to Walters, who beats the offside trap and tries to knock it back to the Spartak Moscow man. However, Badstuber had recovered and cut the ball out well.
Walters holds the ball up and knocks it back to Andrews, who screws a shot wide from 25 yards - that was never going in, but promising play from the hosts once more.
Boos are already ringing out around the stadium! The corner is cleared, but makes its way to Ward, who launches one in, but it goes behind. The home support are adamant that it took a touch off Boateng. They may well have had a point!
McGeady launches the ball into the middle and Schmelzer himself is the one to hack it away. Decent start from the hosts!
And we're off! Irealy get the game started, and Walters wins a free kick after a rash challenge from Schmelzer within seconds.
The teams are out and we're just minutes away from kick-off!
So. What will happen? Will Germany record a straightforward victory and make it three wins from three? Can Ireland spring a shock and get an unlikely victory? If you have any predictions/thoughts, you can get in touch with me via Twitter (@eniskoylu)... I look forward to hearing from you!
GERMANY (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Boateng, Mertesacker, Badstuber, Schmelzer; Khedira, Schweinsteiger; Muller, Ozil, Reus; Klose
IRELAND (4-5-1): Westwood; Coleman, O'Shea, O'Dea, Ward; Cox, Andrews, Fahey, McCarthy, McGeady; Walters
The line-ups are in, and it's as expected for both teams...
