Had virtually nothing to do all evening. Might as well have sat in the stands.
He is at his best when he is allowed to attack and it showed. Had a few wonderful runs down the flank and a couple of good shots.
Barely had anything to do tonight. Did not commit any glaring mistakes.
Popped in at the right time to net the second of the match. Showed good positioning and read the game well. A wall for Caicedo in this encounter.
Booked for a vicious and unnecessary challenge, but was solid in defence and lively in attack tonight. The stand-in captain was hardly troubled down the flank.
Pretty disappointing from the former Ballon D'Or winner as he failed to set the Bernabeu alight in his time on the pitch. Never got into the game and was substituted by Mesut Oezil in the 76th minute.
Á. di María
What a night for the winger. Set up the first and nearly scored another in the 20th minute with a searing shot. Went on a few marvellous runs and even dropped back to distribute the ball from deep.
Showed enormous work-rate and distributed well from the centre of the pitch. Received a dubious yellow card for dangerous play. Played very close to Khedira in a fearsome double pivot.
Part of a very interesting double pivot with Lassana Diarra and did not disappoint. Made sure Los Blancos always controlled the centre of the pitch. Had a good shot on goal in the 53rd minute.
Showed great positioning for the first goal and displayed confidence in every move. Had a stunning shot saved in the 65th minute and looked comfortable on the ball.
Luck just was not on his side. Had a couple of good chances, but the ball just would not get past Gustavo Munua. Showed a lot of desire and commitment, though, and assisted Carvalho's goal with a freekick.
Nothing he could do about either of Real Madrid's goals, but got himself into a comical situation when he let the ball slip through his legs in the 48th minute. Pulled off a few good saves in both halves with his two successive blocks in the 64th minute being a highlight.
Played as a third centre-back in a five-man defence and struggled to deal with Di Maria. Off the pace and looked lost on the pitch.
Had his problems with Kaka and especially with Benzema in the first half, and did not improve much after the break. A game to forget for the defender.
Partially at fault for both goals as his marking and positioning let him down on a couple of occasions. Had a spat with Ronaldo in the first half, but looked much more stable after the break.
Failed to deal with Di Maria down the flank and was pretty anonymous in attack as well.
Struggled to contain Marcelo on the flank in the first half and offered virtually nothing in attack. Stepped up his game after the break.
Just gave in in the middle of the pitch tonight. Outplayed by Lassana Diarra and Sami Khedira.
Offered fairly little down the flank and did not exactly shine in a defensive sense either. Tried hard, but nothing really came off for him tonight.
Failed to stamp his authority on the pitch and his contribution was minimal. Replaced after the break.
Anonymous down the flank. Should have at least backtracked to help deal with Di Maria down the wing. Replaced in the second half.
Cut a frustrated figure as he struggled to find a way past Los Blancos' defence. Starved of supply.

Replaced Kaka in the 76th minute and produced more in his short cameo than the Brazilian for a whole game. Set up a few good opportunities for his team mates and went on a blistering run in the 92nd minute which led to a goal that was ruled out for offside.
