Real Madrid have no fresh injury concerns for Tuesday's clash with Borussia Dortmund at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Marcelo, Fabio Coentrao and Sami Khedira remain out, but Alvaro Arbeloa is available after making his comeback from a hamstring injury in Saturday's win over Zaragoza.

Midfielder Xabi Alonso returns after serving a domestic suspension at the weekend, while Raphael Varane may get the nod over Raul Albiol in central defence.

Borussia Dortmund are hopeful that captain Sebastian Kehl will be fit to play despite suffering a facial injury in Saturday's goalless draw with Stuttgart.

The 32-year-old had a special protective mask fitted on Sunday, meaning he could start in the Spanish capital, while fellow midfielder Sven Bender may also return from a calf strain.

The Spain international's composure is essential when it comes to building attacks from the base of midfield, especially against Dortmund's constant pressing of the ball. Madrid will need Alonso to dictate the rhythm and tempo of the team and provide adequate cover for the back four during counterattacks.

M. Götze

Position: Midfielder

The 20-year-old appears to have put his injury troubles behind him with a run of outstanding and consistent displays in Dortmund's midfield. One of the most elegant young players in Europe, Gotze will want to showcase his talents on the European stage and fire his team through to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Editor's Prediction

While Dortmund were superb in beating Madrid at home, they will face a much sterner test of their mettle in the Spanish capital. With a tough trip to Manchester City to follow, los Blancos will be desperate to avenge their defeat in Germany and take a giant stride towards qualification to the knockout stage.
