Real Madrid go into this match having made their best ever start to a La Liga season in terms of goalscoring. They have netted 49 goals in their opening 14 matches in the league.
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has made some interesting selections also. Karim Benzema is favoured instead of Gonzalo Higuain in attack. It also appears that Fabio Coentrao will feature in the right back position, with Alvaro Arbeloa still struggling for fitness. It will be interesting to see how each team employs their tactics this evening. Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola usually switches between a 4-3-3 formation and a 3-4-3 formation and with the players he has selected, either would be suitable. Dani Alves can easily come forward on the right to make up a four man midfield. We will see soon enough how the team shapes up.

This is the starting XI of Barcelona: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Puyol, Abidal; Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Cesc, Messi, Alexis.
