Live Commentary

  • That's it from me this evening. Thank you for joining me on and stick around for the match report and all the news and views from around Europe. I'll be back on Wednesday for Olympique de Marseille v FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Until then, Mohammed Ali out.
  • A rather turgid game livened up towards the end with two goals in quick succession as Bordeaux came away form the Parc des Princes with a valuable point. PSG's draw means that Montpellier finish the weekend as Ligue 1 leaders.
  • 90' + 4'
FULL-TIME: Paris Saint Germain 1-1 Bordeaux.
  • 90' + 3'
Bordeaux expecting a penalty after a Sakho slip allowed Plasil into the box, as Ben Khalfallah was upended. Nothing signalled.
  • 90' + 1'
Into FOUR added minutes at the end. PSG need a goal to send them top of the table.
  • 90'
SubstitutionCheick Tidiane Diabaté Fahid Ben Khalfallah
  • 90'
    SubstitutionNicolas Maurice-Belay Gregory Sertic
  • 90'
Cheick Diabate is taking his time to come off the pitch, prompting boos from the Parc des Princes faithful as Ben khalfallah is thwarted by Sirigu with his first attempt.
  • 89'
Bordeaux with a double final substitution. Cheick Diabate and Nicolas Maurice-Belay, architects of the first goal are withdrawn in favour of Fahid Ben Khalfallah and Gregory Sertic.
  • 88'
Bordeaux surge forward in numbers with through Obraniak, although the move dies down almost immediately as PSG counter. Motta threads the ball to Gameiro, to Jallet whose ball into the box is deflected.
  • 86'
Jallet attempts to find Gameiro with a lofted through ball, the striker fails to connect with it, and is muscled out of the challenge.
  • 86'
Bordeaux make a change, replacing Carlos Henrique with Ludovic Sane. Four minutes plus added time remaining.
  • 85'
    SubstitutionHenrique Ludovic Sané
  • 85'
Looking back on Hoarau's goal, it was a wonderful backheel in towards the striker from Bodmer, as it totally caught out the entire back-line. PSG have a trend with these late goals.
  • 83'
Very poor challenge from Maurice Belay from Mariano's ball. The striker lunged in on Tiene, and was lucky not to be booked there. Moments before, he had a strike which Sirigu was equal too.
  • 81'
    Assist Mathieu Bodmer
  • 81'
    Goal Guillaume Hoarau
GOAAAALLL!! That was quick. Like London buses, you wait an age for a goal, and then two come at once - this time for PSG! Brilliant backheel by Bodmer to Hoarau who escaped his marker and fired low past Carrasso. What a goal, and what a contribution from Bodmer.
  • 77'
    Assist Nicolas Maurice-Belay
  • 77'
    Goal Cheick Tidiane Diabaté
GOAAAAALLL! BORDEAUX TAKE THE LEAD! Wonderful ball from Obraniak in towards Diabate who suddenly was one-on-one. The striker squared to Maurice-Belay, who fired in past Sirigu. 1-0 Bordeaux.
  • 77'
Bordeaux applying the late pressure here, and after hitting the crossbar, they are seeking to break the deadlock.
  • 74'
    SubstitutionNené Kevin Gameiro
  • 74'
Substitution, the final one for PSG. The ineffectual Nene has been hauled off in favour of Kevin Gameiro. Gameiro has scored more goals against Bordeaux than against any other club, you know.
  • 73'
PLASIL! OFF THE BAR! There's the spark, and the Czech midfielder was unlucky not to score. After the ball failed to find Diabate, the Bordeaux captain cut back in outside the box and smash an effort which cannoned off the bar. Sirigu clawed it away, before being cleared by Jallet!
  • 71'
Thiago Motta lunges in on Ludovic Obraniak as les Girondins are awarded a free-kic. Neither side can manage to hold onto possession at the minute.
  • 70'
    SubstitutionM. Sissoko Mathieu Bodmer
  • 70'
Mohamed Sissoko is the man sacrificed in place of Mathieu Bodmer. Twenty minutes left in this one.
  • 69'
Maurice-Belay! Another shot from distance, another one that flies harmlessly wide of Sirigu's goal. He's had precious little to do this second half.
  • 68'
Carlo Ancelotti is readying another substitution, and it looks like Mathieu Bodmer who will come on. More on that in a second.
  • 67'
The game is becoming much more of a dafensive affair as Francis Gillot's side continue to stifle the hosts. PSG have come up trumps with numerous late goals recently, can they grab another one here?
  • 66'
Javier Pastore goes down under the challenge of Henrique. Free-kick 20 yards out, and in a dangerous position for the capital club. Nene, however shoots straight at Carrasso.
  • 63'
A cross form the left flank by Nene is easily plucked out by Carrasso. A lack of imagination is becoming a problem for the hosts.
  • 61'
MAURICE-BELAY! Fired wide across the goalmouth. The striker has limited options around him, and went straight for goal, going close. PSG have have deteriorated in their play, since the second period.
  • 59'
It's Bordeaux who are on the attack now, as Tremoulinas collects the ball down the left-flank. He inches a pass towards Cheick Diabate who cannot get his bearings right at all.
  • 58'
Some stats for you? Yeah why not. PSG lead the possession count 56% to Bordeaux's 44%. As it stands, a 0-0 draw wouldn't be enough for PSG to reclaim top spot, as they would trail Montpellier by goal difference.
  • 56'
Sissoko lunges into a challenge with Landry N'Guemo and it appears that the former Juventus midfielder has come off worse, as he receives medical attention.
  • 55'
HOARAU! Poor header from a poor jump. Jallet with a good delivery from the right hand side and it is headed over by the striker. They're getting close however,
  • 53'
Pastore feeds in Hoarau with another threaded ball, and the latter skips into the box, cutting him from the left before seeing Ciani block his speculative shot. The resulting corner is wasted by the hosts.
  • 51'
Pastore ventures into the PSG penalty box taking on two defenders, although the referee has signalled a free-kick to Bordeaux.
  • 48'
Corner wasted. The delivery found Sakho who scopped his header over the bar.
  • 48'
SISSOKO! How close was that! Fantastic skill to fire in with the outside of his right boot from distance, and Carrasso had to stretch unbelievably far to get to that. Corner PSG.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionJérémy Menez Blaise Matuidi
  • 46'
Substitution: Jeremy Menez is off for Blaise Matuidi. Might have something to do with that knock Menez suffered in the first 45.
  • 46'
Second half underway! PSG attacking from left to right now. Can they step it up a notch in this period?
  • Second half to get underway soon as the teams re-emerge form the tunnel. A change to tell you about however....
  • Not much of a first half in terms of quality as both sides cancel each other out in a competitive period. PSG went close through Hoarau, and most notably Alex, whilst Bordeaux were largely limited to shots from distance, with Plasil coming closest. All to play for in this one. Join me in 15 minutes for the second period.
  • 45' + 1'
    HALF-TIME: Paris Saint-Germain 0-0 Girondins de Bordeaux.
  • 45'
    Yellow Card Marc Planus
  • 45'
Nene with the little dummy, and Alex smashes it against a wall. One minute added time at the end of the first period.
  • 44'
Could this be the source of the first goal? The hosts embark on their counter-attack and Menez is taken out swiftly by Planus who earns a yellow card. Free-kick 25 yards out....and Alex territory.
  • 44'
Mariano ventures forward and with no options available, smashes a shot towards Sirigu, who gets down well to save. Edging towards the end of the first-half.
  • 42'
Close again. Javier Pastore floats in a delightful cross into the box which is just....just too high for Guillaume Hoarau. Mariano deals witht he loose ball by kicking it off Tiene and out for a goal-kick.
  • 40'
Obraniak denies Sissoko with a wonderful sliding tackle as PSG make do with a corner. An inswinging delivery from the right towards Nene is swiftly headed away. Diabate at the other end fails to get a decent touch on the ball as Alex retrieves possession.
  • 37'
Free-kick to Bordeaux as Siaka Tiene goes in with a rash challenge on Jaroslav Plasil. The free-kick is whipped in, but play is stopped after a push on Sirigu from Diabate. He's on a yellow too. Referee calms them down, but you can't help but notice that these two players significantly tower over him.
  • 37'
Hoarau! Dragged wide. The hosts slip into a fine move as Pastore seeks out the striker who drags his shot from at an angle. Menawhile, Makelele is screaming instructions at the Parisiens.
  • 35'
What PSG lack is some quality in their deliveries from the flank. As has been the trend, Menez's cross is easily caught by Cedric Carrasso as the visitors take hold of possession once more.
  • 33'
Motta instigates another counter attack from deep in midfield, picking out Tiene and Nene. Henrique, however, gets in with a clean tackle to deny the hosts.
  • 31'
Alex with a timely interception to deny Nicolas Maurice-Belay. The les Girondins striker was in on goal before the Brazilian took over. Elsewhere, Carlo Ancelotti is in deep discussion with Claude Makelele.
  • 31'
PLASIL! Chance at the other end too, and Bordeaux really should've tucked that away. Again, a composed build-up though a tame effort from the Czech means Sirigu saves easily.
  • 29'
ALEX! Agonisingly wide of Carrasso's goal. First proper chance of the half, and the Brazilian has scuppered it. Superb delivery from the set-piece by Pastore who pin-points the former Chelsea defender perfectly before the miss.
  • 27'
    Yellow Card M. Sissoko
  • 27'
Sissoko is booked for a lunging challenge on Maurice-Belay. The resulting set-piece is headed over by Henrique. Goal-kick PSG.
  • 25'
Close from PSG who counter with such pace and enthusiasm. Menez races past his marker, and the cross in towards Hoarau is long, although he is reprieved with a second attempt from the wing in Nene, who delivers a first-time ball. Carrasso was beaten, but an alert defence held sway.
  • 23'
The Parc erupts in fury as Michael Ciani upends Nene with such force. Free-kick to PSG is played in towards Menez who drifts in a low ball in towards Hoarau, which is cleared by Carlos Henrique for a corner.
  • 22'
    Yellow Card Cheick Tidiane Diabaté
  • 22'
Obraniak! A shot from distance, but nothing to trouble Salvatore Sirigu. Dragged wide after a decent build-up. Both sides have succeeded in cancelling each other out, in truth.
  • 21'
First booking of the night, and it is a bit of a stupid one to give away. Cheick Diabate was all over Mohamed Sissoko, earning himself a yellow card.
  • 20'
Hoarau! No, he's offside. Pastore feeds the number nine with a wonderfully weighted through ball, but the linesman's flag has scuppered the move. It was saved by Carrasso, in any case.
  • 18'
@AbinhavAFC on Twitter believes Chamakh's appearance at the Parc should signal a move back to Ligue 1 for the Moroccan, for the sake of his career. Interesting. Meanwhile, Maurice-Belay's cross is acrobatially thwarted by Sirigu.
  • 16'
Plasil goes down injured from a challenge as play has been briefly stopped. Carrasso restarts from the goal-kick meanwhile.
  • 14'
When the free-kick is taken a second time, it is charged down by the wall before being fired over the bar by Sakho.
  • 13'
Bizarre chain of events. Pastore gallops forward, but is charged down by Michael Ciani. Free-kick 20 yards from goal although what everyone is focusing on is a pigeon on the pitch at the Parc des Princes. Not Jeremy Menez, who puts the ball into the back of the net, but the referee orders him to take it again.
  • 12'
Lovely phase of build-up play from the visitors as they nudge the ball across the midfield in towards Mariano before Jallet lunges in on Tremoulinas who attempts to switch flank.
  • 10'
Tremoulinas cuts in from the left, and fires a speculative ball at Sirigu as Sakho gets in with a defensive header. Ball out for a throw-in, though nothing comes to it.
  • 9'
Blast from the (near) past? Arsenal's Marouane Chamakh has been spotted at the Parc des Princes. With Robin van Persie tearing up the record books and Chamakh failing to get a game - he's off to watch former side Bordeaux, whom he left in 2010. Make of that, what you will.
  • 8'
Plasil races down the left flank feeding a low ball in towards Diabate inches from goal. The young striker does fantastically well, showing decent composure to hold his own and get the ball to N'Guemo, as PSG finally clear under pressure.
  • 7'
Referee Lionel Jaffredo has awarded a free-kick to Bordeaux after Alex appeared to have caught Tremoulinas in the face.
  • 5'
A calm start to proceedings, with both sides creating one good chance apiece. It is PSG who've begun with a high attacking tempo, similar to that in the second half of Wednesday's 1-3 Coupe de France defeat to Lyon.
  • 4'
Hoarau is again at the thick of things, powering a header from the resulting corner, flashing it wide of Carrasso's goal.
  • 3'
Free-kick to PSG as Ciani goes in hard on Nene. The free-kick is whipped in towards Hoarau, but it is conceded behind for a corner.
  • 3'
PLASIL! Cleared away by Sakho, and PSG had to be alert there. Another Tremoulinas cross causes problems, and after failing to be cleared, Plasil's rather tame header is dealt with at the second attempt.
  • 2'
Early signs of danger as Benoit Tremoulinas is allowed space to scamper down the left flank, with his cross plucked out by Salvatore Sirigu.
  • 1'
Referee Lionel Jaffredo gets us underway, and we are off. PSG attacking from right to left with Bordeaux in their change strip of white.
  • A minute's silence precedes the match, in honour of those killed in Toulouse and Montauban earlier this week, as has been the case in all Ligue 1 and 2 games this weekend.
  • The teams are out, and kick-off is imminent.
  • TEAM NEWS: Carlo Ancelotti opts for a 4-3-1-2 formation with Tiene continuing in place of Maxwell. Hoarau is again preferred to Kevin Gameiro whilst Christophe Jallet is given the nod ahead of Marcos Ceara and Milan Bisevac, both on the bench. Bordeaux have been dealt a blow with an injury to Yann Gouffran with Cheick Diabate starting alongside Nicolas Maurice-Belay. Otherwise, unchanged for the visitors.
  • BORDEAUX: Carrasso; Ciani, Henrique, Mariano, Planus, Tremoulinas; Plasil, Obraniak, N'Guemo, Diabate, Maurice-Belay.
  • CONFIRMED TEAM LINE-UPS: PSG: Sirigu; Jallet, Alex, Sakho, Tiene; Sissoko, Motta, Nenê; Ménez, Pastore; Hoarau
  • The last time these two sides met, it ended in a 1-1 draw back in November. The last time Bordeaux visited the French capital, they came away with a 2-1 win, with Alou Diarra and Michael Ciani among the goals. Odds of that happening again?
  • Bordeaux's recent form has been steady, if unspectacular. After recovering from a low end a few months ago, Francois Gillot has steadied the ship somewhat of late, leading les Girondins to ninth place. A win this evening would see them leapfrog Olympique de Marseille in eighth.
  • Carlo Ancelotti's men sit second in the table following on from Montpellier's 1-0 win over Saint Etienne yesterday in which la Paillade leapfrogged the capital club into top spot. They can reclaim that with avoiding defeat, but surely the onus is on creating a winning sequence at this stage of the season. Nevertheless, the Italian suffered his first defeat as PSG boss with a 3-1 reverse to Lyon in the Coupe de France quarter-final. Only the league left to play for!
