Hernan Crespo gave Parma the lead against the run of play only for Floccari to level the game late in the first half...
The hosts took the lead against the run of play thanks to a Hernan Crespo header after 20 minutes, but on the stroke of half-time Sergio Floccari restored parity with a flicked header of his own that looped over a helpless goalkeeper.
The away side started with much more intent and had a number of early chances with Mauro Zarate blasting over and Floccari having a shot blocked by Massimo Paci.
However, against the run of play substitute Angelo crossed from the right and veteran Hernan Crespo got in front of his marker Guiseppe Biava, and flicked the ball into the far bottom corner with his head.
Lazio who were on top before the goal regressed as Parma took inspiration from Antonio Candreva and played some excellent possession football, though they did not make any clear cut goal scoring chances, they were being afforded plenty of space in midfield as Lazio stood off their opponents giving them plenty of time to find the next pass.
After the former league leaders had overcome the initial shock of going behind they did have a couple of opportunities thanks to Floccari whose magnificent touch took the ball over the head of Cristian Zaccardo to put Mauro Zarate in, but he couldn't get his shot away quickly enough.
First half substitute Angelo was having a big impact since he was introduced and Stefan Radu was finding it difficult to contain the winger who peppered the Lazio penalty area with crosses.
Hernanes had a shot saved by Antonio Mirante for it only to fall to Zarate but his chipped shot was cleared off the line by Massimo Paci.
Buoyed by that very good opportunity, Lazio finished the half much stronger and applied massive pressure to the home side's penalty area.
They eventually got their reward when Sergio Floccari scored from a corner with a flicked near post header that looped over the goalkeeper.
Following the half time interval both teams attacked with purpose. Zarate countered well for Lazio and played Hernanes through on goal but his shot was blocked, then Parma went close with Valeri Bojinov and with another header from Crespo.
Zarate had another opportunity when he was once again played into the box and as he cut inside his shot was parried out to Floccari but just as the frontman was about to unleash his shot, Lucarelli nicked the ball away from him.
As the match wore on it was the away side who upped their game with Parma being driven further and further into their own half but they struggled to find a way past the very well organised Parma backline.
Then in the dying moments of the match Cristian Zaccardo had the chance to steal all three points for Parma as he ghosted in at the far post and unmarked and from six yards he side footed wide of Muslera's near post.
As a result, the draw leaves Lazio second in Serie A, three points behind leaders Milan, while Parma will be glad of the point as it keeps them in fourteenth position.
