Nocerino runs away from De Rossi, getting away from the danger, and chips his pass into space for no one in particular.
De Rossi's decent cross to the far post for Simplicio is a good one, but Bovo leaps higher and clears away.
Baptista fires just wide of the left post. Quite a bit of power behind it, but no goal on this occasion.
Free-kick to Borriello, as Nocerino gives away a foul on the edge of the area.

Ilicic's free-kick goes over the bar. He couldn't get it to dip enough.
Great delivery from Simplicio from a wide position, finding Mexes rising above Bovo in the box, but he couldn't direct his header downwards.
Totti fouls Migliaccio, as he crashes into is leg, but the ref gives it the other way.
Palermo now seem content to hold onto the ball, preserving their lead.
Wonderful save by Julio Sergio, as Ilicic's shot was travelling for the top corner, but the diving Brazilian made sure that didn't happen.
Pastore pulls the ball back, but no one is there. This just a calamitous defence, as the Rosanero are not struggling to find space in the area,
Wonderful move by Palermo, as Maccarone finds Ilicic, who flicks a pass over the wall of defenders, and the former Siena striker fires home his volley wide.
Pastore looks to put a pass through to anyone ahead of him, but no one is there.

And there is the 3-0, a Nocerino finishes off a wonderful, sweeping counterattacking move. Nocerino combine for a 1-2 pass with Pastore, with the goalscorer having the simplest of finishes.

GOOOAAALLLL! Josip Ilicic moved effortlessly past the Roma defence, as Balzaretti squared a ball into the middle from the bye-line to Ilicic, who slotted it into the roof of the net. Palermo 2-0 Roma.
Poor corner, as Miccoli doesn't get any height on it.
Awkward clearance by Cassetti as Miccoli was hunting him down, but it is a corner to the home side.
Roma build up play, as Sirigu ultimately comes out and claims the ball, after slapping it away from Totti.

Lovely work by Ilicic, as he completely fooled Pizarro, but his pass into space sees Pastore offside, and the linesman raises his flag.
Bovo spits the defence with a long pass finding Miccoli, who tempts the 'keeper to come out and chase him down. Miccoli tries to twist his way around Sirigu, leaving the goal open, but his shot only manages to go high.
Pastore one-on-one, as he is given some space to run into the area, but he cannot slot his shot past Julio Sergio, as the Brazilian drops low to save.
Roma have a 3-on-3 counterattacking chance through Menez, who opts to use Totti to his right, but he cannot cut inside and fire on his left.
Palermo have themselves a free-kick 30 yard out, and Miccoli is standing over it. He chooses to deliver it into the middle, but it is Juan who rises the highest to header away.

Menez gets to the bye-line and somehow squirms a low, squaring ball into the middle, but no one is home.

Corner goes deep to Borriello, but he cannot time his volley home.
Borriello earns the Giallorossi a corner, as his turning shot comes off Munoz's boot.
Great ball by Balzaretti to find Ilicic ahead of him on the left, but the playmaker has two opponents around him, and has to lay it off for Nocerino,who shoots wide of the mark.
Pizarro, dangerous ball, which sees Sirigu fly out and punch away.
Totti lets fly from just outside the area, as Sirigu can only parry it into the path of Pizarro, but his left-foot shot is wide, going across goal.
Pastore finds Miccoli, who returns the ball in the penalty area, but he is blocked by the numerous Roma players dropping back, including Simplicio.

Bacinovic is shown a yellow card for stopping Menez in full-flight down the pitch, and he is in some pain, holding his shoulder.
Menezz sends a deep cross, but to non one as Borriello falls down in the box, by his own accord.
Menez...so close, as his shot goes over the bar. Cassetti gets to the bye-line and sends one into the middle, originally looking for Simplicio, but he slips and the French striker is there, but he sends it too high.
Totti lets fly with a shot more in anger, but it is well wide.
Here come Palermo on the counter through Pastore and Miccoli on the left, pushing forward. Miccoli tries to return the favour, but is unable to.
Cassani's quality cross sees Julio Sergio punch clear away from Pastore, as the Argentine looked like he wanted to score.
Almost half an hour gone, and the home side lead 1-0, but don't discount Roma, as they have had more chance to score from.
Menez sees Cassetti make the overlapping run, whose one-time low cross into the box is cleared away.
Menez gets himself into a good position, but the ball skews off his foot, going closer to the right corner flag than the goal.
Totti's attempt from distance with the volley is well-wide, as Munoz does enough to put the Roma captain off.
Borriello takes it, and he hits it to Sirigu, who just drops to his right to save.
Totti protests, wanting a free-kick, as he dabbles his way through three players, and earns the chance just outside the area, looking to equalise.

WHAT A GOAAALLLL! Miccoli scores! Ilicic has only one player to square a ball to in the box, and he was on the other side. He spotted him, slid a pass to him, and Miccoli's left-foot shot has found the back of the net. Poor marking.
Another offside against Miccoli, as Pastore streams forward, weaving past two Roma players, but unable to get by Cassetti, who slides in and stops the Argentine.
Mexes makes an error which almost sees Miccoli through for a one-on-one chance, but the Frenchman makes up for it with his second effort, and rectifies himself.
Cassani tries to take on Riise on the right, but the Norwegian comes out on top on this occasion.
Menez weaves his way in the box, and his left-foot shot smacks into Sirigu's left boot. Good save.
Offside against Miccoli. His shot, though, was blocked by Sirigu nonetheless.
Obstruction?! The referee says no, but Miccoli's tempting ball for Pastore is deemed not to be a penalty, as Cassetti brings him down in the box.
This time, nothing happens, and it will be a goal kick.
Headed away by Mexes, but it is sent in again, and Migliaccio gets his head on it, and again the Frenchman gets the final touch out for another corner.
Corner to Palermo. What can they do from this one?
Here come Palermo through Bovo, who slides a pass through to Pastore on the left running hard, he cuts inside against Mexes, but can't find enough room to shoot.
Totti's free-kick was a cross-come-shot, looking to use the crosswinds swirling around to find the back of the net.
Late challenge on Borriello by Balzaretti on the right, looks okay and the referee has only spoken to the defender about his actions.
Borriello was on the move down the left, but Migliaccio closes him down.
Riise had time and space, and his venomous shot from outside the box had Julio Sergio on full guard. Simplico rolled a pass across the box to the Norwegian, and he let rip.
Menez's cross from the bye-line was too long, as he linked up well with Riise on the left, but the Palermo defence clears, to the cheers of the crowd.

Both sides will want to continue their winning form from last week, and another three points would be vital for staying in touch with the likes of Milan, Lazio and Juventus.
