Pastore again with another fine chance as he goes for glory, but fires his shot past the near post which is covered by Pavarini.
Migliaccio shows himself forward, but he fails to connect with the long ball.
Play is scrappy, players are tired, and it seems penalties will have to settle the game.
Pavarini is equal to Bovo's free-kick as he denies the stopper. The goalkeepers have been dominating the tie with save after save.
Good run by Martinez who cuts inside and shoots with his left, but Pavarini is there again.
The second half of extra time is underway, but who will find the winner? Or will it be penalties?
Desperate play from Palermo as Migliaccio bombs forward, but he fails to connect with the long ball from the back.
Ohhh! Migliaccio misses the cross from the right when the ball just needed a touch!
Corner to Palermo... save by Pavarini as he comes out to claim with ease.
Another chance for Pastore... one of very few in this extra time period, and, once again, his shot goes over the bar.
Neither side is creating any chance any chance worthy of mention. Giovinco and Pastore are the two dominant figures, but they are not doing enough to promote action.

Zaccardo fouls Pastore who continue to plug away for Palermo, but the Sicilians are not making any progress. Both sides are tired.
It seems as if both teams are playing for penalties as neither appear eager to attack.
Palermo win the corner as Paci clears. However, the set piece comes to nothing.

Giovinco tries his luck, but it's no trouble for Sirigu who makes a comfortable save.

Into the final minutes, and it seems we have extra time on our hands.
Sirigu makes the save on Paci's weak over-head kick. Both sides are going for broke in the final minutes.
Pastore again with another fine run, this time he does hit the net... the side net! Another wasted chance, how many does he need?
What a sublime save by Pavarini to deny Pastore who seemed destined to score and win it for Palermo. Not tonight.
Little under 10 minutes remain in Palermo, but both teams seem happy to play among themselves for extra time.
Crespo comes on for Bojinov, but will he make the difference as we enter the final 10 or so minutes.
Free-kick Palermo. Bovo steps up and hits a right-foot curler towards goal which flies to the left and rises above the bar.
Another fine run by Pastore who beats his marker, dribbles and shoots towards goal; a weak effort and Pavarini says no.
Excellent anticipation by Sirigu who is quick off his line to come out and thwart Bojinov after good work from the enganginly sprightly Giovinco.
Ohhh! Gionvico picks out Candreva who goes for the curler from outside the box, but sees his shot bend wide t the right.
Good save by Pavarini as he blocks Miccoli's shot following good work by Ilicic who supplies the ammunition.
Bovo takes the bait as he lunges in on Giovinco and gets booked for his efforts.

Marino changes it up for Parma as Giovinco comes off the bench and onto the pitch in place of Marques.
Magic from Pastore as he beats four defenders to the line with skill, but his cut-back is not pounced upon by any of his team-mates in the box.
Another wasted chance by Ilicic who does well in receiving the pass from Pastore, but his left-foot blast on the turn is sent fizzing over the cross bar.
Nocerino finds Pastore who goes for the snap-shot, but it's not enough to beat Pavarini who parries the ball.
Great chance for Parma as Marques feeds Bojinov, but the Bulgarian striker sends his effort wide from a great position. Palermo are half asleep on that one.
Nocerino goes long with his searching pass for Ilicic, but he is caught offside as Parma step up well.
Corner to Palermo. Miccoli swings it in searching for Ilicic but Parma defenders scramble the ball clear.

Great free-kick from Miccoli who picks out Migliaccio, but he heads wide of the mark from close range. What a miss. It should be 1-0 Palermo.

Modesto goes into the book for a clumsy foul on Ilicic. Lucarelli is also shown a yellow card for protests.
Balzaretti does well on the flank, but his cross is caught by Pavarini who comes out to claim the ball.
And Palermo kick-off the second half.

Half-time! Palermo 0-0 Parma at the end of an eventful first-half. Good chances at both ends, but no goals thus far.
Ohhh! Great work by Bojinov who feeds Palldino. The former Genoa man controls inside the box, but fails to beat Sirigu from an awkward position.
There could be some changes at the interval for Palermo as Delio Rossi tells Kasami to warm up.
Both teams are struggling now. Palermo seem tired as their rate of progress begins to decline towards the end of the half.
Bojinov shoots following Marques' assist, but Sirigu gets down well to make another good save.
Modesto goes for the cross shot in attempt to catch Sirigu off-guard, but the goalkeeper makes the save.
That's ambitious! Candreva goes for glory with a wild shot from range, but it does not trouble Sirigu.
Ilicic is razed down and stays down following a tough challenge, but he is soon back up.
Both teams have gone a little quiet in this phase as the clock runs down towards half-time.
Another great attempt by Miccoli who beats the offside trap and tries to lob Pavarini, but the shot takes a deflection.
Palermo forced to conceed the corner. It's swung in dangerously... Zaccardo gets his head on it, but it is too powerful and ends up over Sirigu's bar.
Miccoli is on fire tonight as he continues creating and dictating the Palermo play.
Miccoli on the volley sends his effort wide of the mark!
Pastore feeds Ilicic with a great pass, the midfielder hits a strong shot which is parried by Pavarini who makes a good save.
Ohh! Another great chance for Parma! This time it's Palladino who fires over the bar from Marques cross. Marino's men are starting to respond to Palermo dominance with some majestic play.
Ohhh! What a miss by Bojinov who fires his shot off-target from inside the area following an excellent run and pass by Palladino.
Palermo are dominating the affairi early on with a number of good chances. Parma on the back foot, but there is some respite for the visitors as Bacinovic gives away a free-kick.
Miccoli does well to control the ball from the right. He fires hard with his righ foot, but it is saved by the Ducali goalie.
Ohhh! Pastore again as he tests Pavarini with a decent effort which is punched clear.
It's a good game thus far with decent chances being created by Palermo. Parma are no pushovers though as Candreva shoots from distance, but sees his effort fly over the bar.
Ohhh! Pastore's diving header flashes wide from close range. Palermo go close again just seconds after Miccoli missed a good chance.
Palermo show themselves forward with some early passing. Miccoli is pulling the strings up front. Down the other end Marques is closed down by the Rosanero defence following a good run.
Palermo in their traditional pink home kit, Parma are wearing their blue and yellow away strip. Just a handful of Parma fans have made the trip south though.
And we are underway at the Barbera as Parma kick-off the first Coppa Italia quarter final of the week.

Hello and welcome to Goal.com's live commentary of the Coppa Italia quarter-final match between Palermo and Parma at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. A place in the semi-finals is up for grabs with both coaches telling the press yesterday they were taking the game seriously.
