The full-time whistle goes and Juventus regain top-spot in Serie A and remain unbeaten this season courtesy of goals from Bonucci and Quagliarella. Thank you for joining us at Goal.com for our coverage of tonight's game. Make sure you stick with us for all the post-match news and analysis, including match report and player ratings. 90' + 3'
Full time at the Renzo Barbera.
90' + 1'
Into the first of three added minutes.
GREAT SAVE!! Del Piero shimmies from side to side and then lashes a shot at the target. Viviano saves well with his legs and the ball almost falls to Matri but it is just out of his reach.
WHAT A CHANCE FOR PALERMO!! A cross into the box is cleared by the Bianconeri but only as far as Bacinovic who drills a shot at goal. It is always rising and fires just over the bar.
Another offside called against Juventus. This time it is Caceres trying to break own the right but the attack comes to a grinding halt due to his early run.
Juve are trying to pen Palermo back in their own half now as they look to see out the rest of the game. Del Piero tries an ambitious volley from the top of the box after a series of kick-ups. It ends up dropping to Marchisio but the midfielder was offside.
Alessandro Del Piero
Some beautiful footwork by Della Rocca gets himself out of a very tight situation but unfortunately Bacinovic cannot make anything of his pass.
Yellow CardClaudio Marchisio
Viviano was almost caught out there! A short corner is put into the box by Pirlo and the Palermo keeper fails to get a hand on it, almost allowing Caceres to bundle it in at the back post.
Palermo are now having their best spell in possession; not what Juve would have wanted. They manage to win it back and Quagliarella looks for Matri but Munoz provides the cover and kicks it out for a throw.
It took a bit longer than Antonio Conte would have perhaps liked, but Juve now have a fairly comfortable lead. They can step off the gas a bit now, but one Palermo goal would really scare the Bianconeri.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!! QUAGLIARELLA!! He finally finds the net! The ball is played into Matri who protects the ball at the top of the box before poking it to Quagliarella. He releases a beautifully controlled left-foot shot that bends beyond Viviano and nestles in the bottom corner.
PALERMO GO CLOSE!!! Miccoli jinks past Chiellini out on the right and tries to shoot from a very acute angle. It passes agonisingly across the goal and Ilicic arrives just too late at the back post to tap it in.
Another truly dreadful effort from Marchisio. He runs the ball forward but with options to pass either side of him, he decides to go for goal. It was a truly woeful effort that was not anywhere near testing Viviano.
GOOD SAVE!! Vucinic again has space to walk the ball towards the Palermo goal. He goes it alone once more and stings the palms of Viviano with a powerful effort from 25 yards. The strong hands from the keeper ensure the ball is parried to safety.
WHAT A CHANCE!! A long ball finds Migliaccio all alone in the box but the ball just will not fall to him. It drops just over his head and Buffon breathes a sigh of relief.
Vucinic carries the ball towards goal and opts to use his team-mates' runs to run into space. He shows too much of the ball to Milanovic though who executes a superb sliding challenge.
A series of interlinking passes down the left follow a swift break from Palermo. Miccoli eventually gets into a position to put the ball into the box but again his delivery is poor and he fails to find a team-mate.
Another well-worked set piece from the Bianconeri. Pirlo plays it low to Marchisio on the edge of the box but he cannot keep his effort down and absolutely skies it, not for the first time tonight.
Great work from Bonucci at the other end now. He makes a superb sliding challenge to stop Miccoli from going through on goal. The ball then falls to Ilicic but he sends his effort high behind the goal.
THERE IT IS!!! BONUCCI!! Juve have the lead! Another expert delivery from Pirlo is met by the head of Bonucci at the near post. He beats Milanovic to the ball and glances it over to the back post, which it hits on its way into the net.
GREAT STRIKE!! Vidal unleashes a ferocious strike at Viviano but it is right down the middle and the keeper manages to hold it.
Estigarribia runs at the defenders down the left and passes the ball into Quagliarella. He runs on for the return pass but his team-mate fails to find him as he is swarmed upon by pink shirts.
It has all gone a bit scrappy now. The midfield resembles pinball more than football as both sides kick the ball back and forth to each other. When Pirlo gets the ball he slows it down and tries to pick Vidal out in the box. His first touch is good but he ends up running into a number of Palermo players who manage to dispossess the Chilean.
Quagliarella does well to win the ball off Munoz in the box but does not get back onside for a return pass. Though it does not actually matter, his attempt on goal was once again below par.
Barreto plays Miccoli in behind the Juve defence with a great pass down the left. The striker gets his head up at the byeline but his cross is way too deep and goes all the way out to Chiellini.
The second half begins in Sicily!
How Juve are not ahead in this one beggars belief. They have wasted chance upon chance with their lacklustre finishing. Worst of all, Palermo have come back into it and are denying the Bianconeri the space that they were offered so early in the game. Join me for the second half in 15 minutes.
45' + 1'
Barreto attempts an effort from a huge distance but it rolls comfortably into Buffon's arms. The half-time whistle goes!
45' + 1'
Into the first minute of added time at the Renzo Barbera.
Another chances goes begging for Juve! Pirlo sends the ball into Vucinic who protects it before dinking a short pass to Marchisio as he darts forward. His technique is all wrong when he strikes it and it flies high and wide.
Palermo are getting far greater numbers behind the ball now and Juve are finding it difficult to break them down. A number of sideways passes along the box fall to Pirlo who fires another shot on goal but this time he fails to hit the target.
Viviano forced into another save from Pirlo. The effort was almost identical to the one just eight minutes ago. Juve are shooting from range more now as they seem less able to cut apart the Palermo defence as they were early on. They really missed a trick there.
It is a great delivery with Chiellini looking to get on the end of it but he is beaten to it by Viviano who punches the ball out of the area.
Estigarribia's good work down the left side earns Juve a free kick. Pirlo will whip this in again. What can they make of it?
The pair are at it again! This time it is Vidal who concedes the free kick with an over-zealous tackle on his South American counterpart Barreto. The Palermo midfield have stepped it up in the last 15 minutes and are playing much more of a role in this encounter.
Finally Viviano is forced into a save! Pirlo comes up from deep and is picked out by Quagliarella. He takes a touch before releasing a powerful shot on his right foot. It is too close to the keeper though who is able to parry the ball well away.
There is a break in play here as Milanovic receives treatment after putting his face into the back of someone's head. That's got to hurt.
Vucinic beats Munoz and cuts the ball back from the byeline. It is eventually cleared by Palermo but only as far as Marchisio. He tries to shoot but the ball just will not drop for him and there is a pink shirt in the way of his shot.
Vucinic tries to thread a pass through to Quagliarella on the overlap but Acquah does well to get between the Juve man and the ball and clears the danger.
The visitors seem to have taken their foot of the pedal in the last few minutes. They need to keep up their dominance and find the back of the net or they could well be in for a sucker punch from Palermo.
He plays it low Vucinic but Della Rocca reads the play and steals in to make the interception. Juve are all over Palermo but their finishing has been abysmal thus far.
Another chance for Pirlo to put the ball in the box here. Acquah trips up Caceres and the referee gives the foul.
WHAT A MISS!! How many times will I say this?! Vucinic clips a great pass over a static defence which is met by Caceres, surging forward from the right. His first touch takes it across goal but his finishing effort comes off his shin and falls wide of the net.
Palermo's midfield and defence are yet to turn up here! The Bianconeri are in total control but are still yet to stretch Viviano. They need to make the most of this early dominance and find a goal to set them on their way to a potential victory.
VUCINIC GOES CLOSE!! Pirlo again given time to pick out the pass and he puts the ball in behind Munoz. Vucinic capitalises by squeezing between defender and keeper, poking the ball away. He has an open goal to shoot at but the angle is tight and it rolls perilously close across the mouth of the goal.
Once again Juve allowed to run into space. The Palermo defenders allow Vucinic to run at goal but fortunately for them his shot is wild and is nowhere near testing the keeper.
WHAT A MISS!! The best chance of the match as Estigarribia slots a pass into Quagliarella. He drives at goal but shanks the ball with his right foot, failing to hit the target in a one-on-one inside the box. Awful shooting early on.
That looked like a great chance. Milanovic gave the ball away outside his own box, enabling Vucinic to play in Quagliarella. The former Napoli man took too long to shoot but was pulled back for offside. Very close one there!
A bit of relief for the Palermo defence as Pisano gets forward and puts a ball in the box but it is easily collected by Buffon.
Palermo are allowing the Bianconeri far too much space. Pirlo is left to his own devices and slides the ball into Vucinic. The striker turns and shoots from outside the box but his effort is rather feeble and Viviano can make a comfortable save.
SO CLOSE!! Quagliarella again finds space on the right and drives to the byeline before flashing a great cross between the defenders and keeper. Vucinic is streaming in to meet it at the near post but is eased off of it by Munoz and he fails to make contact. Anything on the end of that and it would have been in.
Early signs of a great midfield battle brewing between Vidal and Barreto. This time the Paraguayan comes out on top and plays a long ball up to Miccoli. His support is limited and they lose the ball with a wasteful pass that is picked up by Chiellini.
It is sent in to the back post and Estigarribia has a chance to shoot but once again the Palermo players put their bodies on the line to prevent Viviano from having to make a save.
This has been a great start by Juve as they press Palermo high up the pitch. Barreto gives away a free kick in a very dangerous area with a poorly judged challenge on Vidal. What can Pirlo deliver here?
Quagliarella is played in after a lovely ball by Bonucci but he does not want to take the shot on his right. He cuts back onto his left but it allows the defenders to get back and make a good block. If he had pulled the trigger earlier he could have tested Viviano.
And we are underway at the Renzo Barbera!
We are just awaiting the players out on the field now. Kick off is only a few short moments away. Can Juve move to the top of the league? We are about to find out!
Palermo have struggled in recent weeks, with victory over Bologna last weekend ending a run of five games without a win. Despite this, they have managed to accumulate 32 goals in front of their own fans this season, the joint-most in the league alongside Napoli. However, Juve have only conceded eight goals away from home in 15 games this season.
Antonio Conte possesses a very attacking bench this afternoon. What do you guys make of the selections of Estigarribia and Quagliarella? Let me know your thoughts and predictions for the game through Twitter, @thwebber.
However, the Bianconeri are undefeated this season and have kept a clean sheet in six of their previous eight away games. Very ominous signs ahead of this fixture. I should also mention that a draw today would leave Juve in second so a win is of the utmost priority.
There is a huge prize of victory for Juve today but it will be no easy task. They have not won at the Renzo Barbera since a 2-0 victory in 2009, when Trezeguet and Sissoko found the net. The Rosanero lead the head-to-head rankings between these two since 2004. They have seven wins to Juve's five. There has only been one draw.
Now for the visitors, Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Caceres, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Estigarribia; Vucinic, Quagliarella. Subs: Storari, Lichtsteiner, Giaccherini, Pepe, Borriello, Matri, Del Piero.
The team news in and we will start with the hosts, Palermo: Viviano; Munoz, Milanovic, Labrin; Pisano, Migliaccio, Barreto, Della Rocca, Acquah; Ilicic, Miccoli. Subs: Tzorvas, Kosnic, Bacinovic, Alvarez, Vazquez, Zahavi, Budan.
