That's it from me this evening, but be sure to check Goal.com for analysis and reaction from this game. A bientot!
OM are now in Ligue 1's top five, who seem to have opened up a little gap this weekend. For Bordeaux, their dreams of the title are gone, and even Europe would be an achievement now.
90' + 4'
Mandanda finally takes a catch cleanly, and referee Bre blows for full-time! Marseille have won!
90' + 3'
OM are now just trying to run the clock down. Taiwo takes as long as possible over a throw.
90' + 2'
Oh... Bordeaux were nearly caught on the break, but Cheyrou couldn't control his first-time shot following a Remy cross. At the other end of the field, Sane's cross just beats Ben Khalfallah and goes out for a goal kick.
90' + 1'
There will be three minutes of stoppage time.
The latest wave of Bordeaux attacks are seen off by the OM defence easily. Only stoppage time can save them...
Lucho's cross is headed clear by the Bordeaux defence, but OM retain possession, which is so important at this stage of the match.
Bordeaux try to go direct, but that is bread and butter for the OM defence. As the hosts break, Gignac takes the ball towards the corner flag and wins a corner from Fernando.
It's tense in the Stade Velodrome. The home crowd have seen their favourites lose goals at such times before.
OH... More poor goalkeeping from Mandanda nearly gives Bordeaux an equaliser! His punch is weak, but Fernando can't turn the ball into the net from 20 yards, striking just wide of goal. What a let off for OM!
Maazou tried to play Modeste in on goal with a reverse pass. It was a lovely idea, but the execution was just too difficult.
Bordeaux are playing with three players in attack now, Modeste through the centre.
Bordeaux continue to attack with belief, but Marseille look assured at the back.
Good defending from Plasil, who read Marseille's cleverly worked free kick, sliding in to prevent Cheyrou a clean shot at goal. The midfielder's shot skims just wide.
Andre Ayew gets clear of Sane down the left side, and as the Ghanaian made his way to the box he was chopped down by the defender. Free kick OM, but strangely no yellow card!
Oh... Diarra gets into a good position in the OM box, but Heinze shuts him out on the byline.
Deschamps is quick to replace Brandao after that miss. Cheyrou has come into the match, going into a midfield role.
GLORIOUS CHANCE FOR BRANDAO!!! What a miss for OM. Bordeaux gave away cheap possession in their own third, which is pounced on by Ayew. His pass presented Brandao with a great chance, but from 15 yards out the Brazilian's effort is that an amateur would be embarrassed of, skidding off the side of his foot and well wide.
Suddenly OM look rattled at the back. Bordeaux push on with intent. Already they look a different side! There's work to be done by Marseille yet.
Loic Remy replaces Valbuena. OM aren't going to simply see this game out.
Modeste sprints into the net to gather the ball. He clearly doesn't believe this game is over!
Yellow CardSouleymane Diawara
Penalty GoalAnthony Modeste
Anthony Modeste.... SCORES LOW TO MANDANDA'S LEFT! Game on!
PENALTY! A Ben Khalfallah cross into the box is allowed to bobble around the box, and as Sane closed in on the ball, he was caught by Diawara. Chance for Bordeaux to get back in this!
Brandao is shown a yellow card, presumably for dissent. He didn't seem to do anything else!
Mandanda again fumbles a free kick delivered high. Though he gets away with the mistake, he doesn't look like the confident goalkeeper of the autumn.
Gouffran goes off to be replaced by Maazou. That's Bordeaux's last change.
More dreadful Bordeaux defending nearly allowed Gignac in, but the striker couldn't control the ball, letting Tigana's men off the hook.
That's not the first time Mandanda's handling has been poor tonight, but he remains cool under pressure from Modeste, performing a Cruyff turn to evade the striker before clearing.
Oh... Good angled cross into the box from Ben Khalfallah towards Modeste. Mandanda can't gather it cleanly, but the referee feels he has been fouled.
Bordeaux still aren't moving the ball quickly enough to worry the OM defence. The home fans whistle as the navy-clad guests pass the ball about fruitlessly.
Andre Ayew is down and needs some treatment after being caught in the head by Diarra's boot. There doesn't look to be a great deal of damage done.
Sane tried to pick out Modeste immediately, but the striker has moved into an offside position deep inside the OM box.
Cheick Tidiane Diabaté
What a let down! OM go short, and as Valbuena tries to trick his way along the touchline, the ball escapes him and goes out. Diabate is replaced by Modeste, meanwhile.
Another Marseille corner, and the volume in the Stade Velodrome builds again. Valbuena places the ball...
VALBUENA!!! That should have been three! Lucho keeps the ball alive on the byline brilliantly, then moves into the box. His cut-back picks out Valbuena, who plants his shot wide from 10 yards out. He really should have hit the target at least.
Oh... Bordeaux go close again, but Ben Khalfallah's shot was always rising over the top from the edge of the box after the corner kick broke down.
Oh... Plasil's corner was flicked on at the near post and cleared from virtually on the line by Lucho. Bordeaux cross again, but Mandanda punches clear. Another corner.
Diabate tried an ambitious overhead kick in the Marseille box but doesn't catch the shot at all right. Ben Khalfallah wins a corner as the ball is recycled. This game is end-to-end at present.
Excellent from Marseille, and particularly Valbuena, who showed great energy and control to release Gignac down the left channel. The striker can't quite shake the rigid policing of Fernando, who did well to block the former Toulouse man's advances.
Tremoulinas had a poor start to the game, but since the half hour mark he's been excellent. The left-back reads a Valbuena pass well and sets up a Bordeaux counter.
Mathieu Valbuena has been sprightly all night. He wins a corner kick with a deflected cross that Carrasso cannot save from going out.
Incidentally, Salif Sane has been replaced by Jussie at half-time.
After a spell of OM pressure, Ben Khalfallah does well to win a free kick on the left wing. Plasil's cross is easily cleared.
Taiwo has a really ambitious right-footed shot fly wide from a position near the left corner of the box. The Nigerian's effort is comfortably past the post.
Brandao breaks into room on the left side of the park. His cross is poor, allowing Ciani to clear for a throw-in. Gignac was lurking had the delivery been better.
Oh... Signs that Bordeaux are not dead in this game yet. Tremoulinas got down the left well to link with Gouffran, whose clipped cross is just too hard.
Still Bordeaux are finding it hard to move forward in the face of home pressure. It's difficult to see them getting back into this match.
Brandao felt he should have had a corner as he induced a mistake from Fernando, who was trying to shepherd the ball out. The referee has other ideas, spotting the Brazilian's accidental trip on the Brazilian.
Marseille continue to put pressure on the ball-carrier, and Bordeaux don't have the quality throughout their side to maintain possession.
Les Girondins have started the second half strongly, controlling the ball and making a couple of promising probes into enemy territory.
OM have got the second half started.
45' + 3'
And that's half-time! What a conclusion for OM, who are now firmly in the driving seat!
45' + 2'
GOOOOOAL!!! What a terrific time for Brandao to double OM's lead! Valbuena took advantage of some terrible defending from Bordeaux, keeping his cool to roll the ball back to Brandao. Even the Brazilian wasn't going to miss an empty net just inside the box, and he fired home!
45' + 1'
There's only one minute of stoppage time.
Gignac again tries to get clear down the left touchline but shows why he's not a winger, too clumsy with his first touch and allowing the ball to go straight out of play.
Superb challenge from Ciani! Edouard Cisse raided forward from the midfield onto a pass from Valbuena, but the former Lorient defender covered across firmly, taking ball before the man.
Bordeaux are definitely starting to press the ball higher up the field, forcing OM into more mistakes.
Diawara is penalised for a foul on Diabate. Bordeaux will put this ball into the box, though the kick is 40 yards out on the touchline. Plasil's cross is terrible, and the Czech is lucky OM don't make the most of the counter.
Marseille are happy to knock the ball about in the midfield, killing some of Bordeaux's momentum.
Jean Tigana scowls at Bordeaux's latest misfortune on the sidelines.
Appeals for a handball! A Tremoulinas cross caused confusion, and as Heinze rose for the ball, Bordeaux felt that he used his hand to clear. Replays showed that he did!
Diabate caught just offside, but Bordeaux are looking more threatening. This time Plasil's through ball nearly unlocked the OM back four, but the Malian international had moved just too soon.
Valbuena looks fine after his clattering from Tremoulinas. He links with Fanni down the right, and is quick to scurry into space to look for a return pass.
DIABATE... Bordeaux have been improving over the last five minutes, and they went close there. Salif Sane's cross is controlled well by Diabate, whose deft finish was just close enough to Mandanda to allow the goalkeeper to pluck the balll from the air.
Tremoulinas is lucky to still be on the pitch after a lunge on Valbuena. A booking is the least he deserved for a late, two-footed challenge on the touchline.
Yellow CardBenoit Tremoulinas
Oh... better from Ben Khalfallah, whose near post cross is tempting for the strikers, but Mandanda gathers.
It's all rather comfortable for the hosts at the moment. Bordeaux need to inject more pace into their play.
Bordeaux finally enjoy some possession in the home half. Though they attempt to push forward, they are often forced square by the well organised home defence. Finally a long ball is aimed towards Diabate, but the striker can't get near it.
The initial corner ultimately ends in a Valbuena shot that is deflected wide of target. A foul at the near post by Brandao means the second corner doesn't have a chance to develop.
Marseille try a rather more direct approach. Brandao flicks the ball on for Gignac to chase. Ciani covers back well but is forced to concede the corner.
Gouffran tries to get the better of Taiwo down the Bordeaux right, but the OM defender shows commendable strength to see off his adversary.
Bordeaux offer their first response after Marseille's opening goal. Fanni's headed clearance from a cross delivered from the right is poor, but Plasil hits his shot too high from the edge of the area.
Oh... the ball rather squirted into the box but wasn't met by anyone. Carrasso is happy to see it bounce tamely into his arms.
Gouffran's lucky to avoid a booking for a firm challenge on Valbuena out on the left. It's a good chance for Lucho to deliver...
Marseille are still pushing. They'll remember that they went 1-0 up at the Stade Chaban-Delmas earlier this season only to draw 1-1.
The Stade Velodrome is filled with chants of Gignac's name. That's his first goal at OM's home since signing this summer - what a weight off his shoulders!
SUPERB!!! 1-0 MARSEILLE!!! Taye Taiwo bombs down the left, and instead of crossing on his favoured left foot, he checked back to deliver on his right. The cross is excellent, picking out Gignac at the back post, and he slotted the ball right footed through Carrasso's legs.
It's all OM just now, but aside from that flurry a moment ago, they're struggling to fashion openings.
OH... Moments of danger for Bordeaux. Brandao got in behind, but the visiting defence scrambled clear. The ball broke kindly for OM, but from a position deep inside the box, Lucho couldn't create a shooting chance, shut down superbly by Fernando.
Gabriel Heinze still seems to be feeling the effects of the challenge on him just a couple of minutes ago. The Argentine grimaces but gets on with things.
The game remains scrappy, and neither side has created a chance of their own accord yet.
Ben Khalfallah tries to hustle Heinze, who has difficulty in controlling an awkwardly bouncing ball. The former Valenciennes player succeeds only in fouling the home defender, however.
Steve Mandanda will get a rare touch of the ball now. Bordeaux try a through pass, which goes straight out of play. OM goal-kick.
Marseille are trying to build down the right for the moment. Fanni gets forward but his cross is too hard, clearing even Gignac at the back post.
Lucho hasn't been very involved yet. A clever dribble from the Argentine works a shooting chance 20 yards out, but his effort is too high to worry Carrasso.
Oh... Andre Ayew wriggles his way down the left channel to the byline, though his driven cross eludes two attacking players.
For the first time in some minutes, Bordeaux get into an attacking position. Heinze clears Gouffran's low cross, setting up a counterattack, from which Gignac wins a throw.
The Bordeaux defence still doesn't look at ease. Another communication breakdown sees Ciani clear the ball almost from Carrasso's hands, though Valbuena was in the locality.
OM are starting to press the ball hard in midfield and as a result are starting to get a grip on the game. Edouard Cisse wins a free kick from Jaroslav Plasil.
Tremoulinas is tested again, this time by Valbuena's pace. No risks are taken by the left-back, who boots the ball into the stands, conceding a throw.
OHH... Nearly a huge mix-up in les Girondins' defence. In trying to hook an overhead kick clear, Tremoulinas' miscue nearly presented a simple chance to Brandao, but Carrasso was quickly down on the ball to thwart the home forward.
Cheikh Diabate looks confident on just his fifth Ligue 1 start. The young forward is prepared to mix it up with Diawara and Heinze in the centre of the Marseille defence. Both veteran centre-backs have been unmoving so far.
The match is all a bit scrappy so far. There's not been a shot on goal yet, and neither side has really offered a good spell of play yet.
Now Bordeaux enjoy a spell of pressure. They look intent to get plenty of crosses into the OM box, but on this occasion Jean Tigana's men can't fashion a good chance.
After their poor start, Marseille are controlling more of the ball. They've not got close to Carrasso's goal. Gignac tries to get down the left wing but over-hits the ball, which goes out for a throw.
Brandao tries to use his physique to see off countryman Fernando, but the striker committed a foul to shrug off the midfielder who has been transformed into a centre-back this term.
Marseille are yet to settle. Gignac is definitely going to be playing out on the left, with Brandao instead going through the centre. The Brazilian is caught offside only 15 yards into the Bordeaux half.
Now Gouffran crosses from the right. Again it doesn't beat the first man, Diawara heading clear at the near post.
A very positive start from Bordeaux. Ben Khalfallah crosses from the right within the first 20 seconds. Heinze is at the near post to hook clear.
Bordeaux kick us off! Here we go...
The players are out, with Bordeaux sporting a new strip. At present, the handshakes are taking place, and the atmosphere in the ground is magnificent.
There are about five minutes to kick-off, so stay tuned over the course of the next couple of hours for all the action.
Bordeaux coach Jean Tigana, meanwhile, has selected both Sane brothers in his XI. BORDEAUX: Carrasso - S. Sane, Fernando, Ciani, Trémoulinas - L. Sane, Diarra (cap.) - Gouffran, Plasil, Ben Khalfallah - Diabate
Didier Deschamps has thrown a curve-ball into his team selection, picking both Brandao and Andre Pierre- Gignac to start. MARSEILLE: Mandanda (cap.) - Fanni, Diawara, Heinze, Taiwo - Lucho, Cisse, A. Ayew - Valbuena, Brandao, Gignac
Good evening and welcome to the Stade Velodrome, where Marseille entertain Bordeaux in Ligue 1. All of Le Championnat's main title contenders won last night, so neither of these sides will be wanting to slip up this evening.
