Despite being on the losing side, the French No.1 showed his class tonight with several world-class stops. Scoreline could have been a lot more if it wasn't for the former Nice man.
The experienced Brazilian struggled against one of the most feared attacks in the Champions League. His lack of pace was evident although he did improve a little in the second half.
Made a bright start to the contest, helping break up play down his wing before getting forward. However, struggled a little as the game went on, especially with the pace and movement of Ronaldo.
Poor from the former Sevilla man who really struggled with his positioning and the intelligent attacking play of Di Maria. The home side really did miss Cissokho this evening, and Dabo was not an ample replacement.
The Croatian centre-half made a solid start to the game, performing several superb tackles before injury brought his night to an end just after the half-hour mark.

Determined performance from the defensive midfielder who continued to get in the faces of the Madrid attack, despite the away team's dominance for much of the contest.
Average from the creative midfielder who had Lyon's best chance of the first half parried over the bar by Casillas. Some some nice touches yet was often overcrowded by Khedira and Co.

Solid game at centre-back as he dealt with everything that was thrown at him. Made some solid interceptions and helped link play to the midfield.
Adequate performance from the Portuguese left-back who made numerous tackles. However, he would have been expected to attack more in support of Ronaldo.
Continues to do a sterling job in the centre of defence. Showed great athleticism to cut out the danger on several occasions as Lyon never looked like scoring.
Energetic from the hard-working midfielder. He was always looking to get in and challenge his opposite numbers and also broke forward when possible.
The Frenchman filled in at right-back this evening and performed admirably. He did not put a foot wrong defensively and always looked to bomb forward in support of his team-mates.
The former Liverpool midfielder was a class act tonight. His break-up play was top-notch, as was his passing which looked slick throughout the 90 minutes.
Intelligent performance from the German playmaker who was at the heart of the majority of Madrid's best attacking play. Showed some excellent touches and played numerous precise through balls.
Á. di María
Made some brilliant runs forward at times and was always looking for the ball, despite being guilty of wasting possession as Madrid looked to score the perfect goal.
Unlucky not to grab a goal against his former employers, especially after particularly impressing in the first period. A real handful for the French side's defence as Lloris somehow stopped him from adding to his season's tally.
Great performance from the Portuguese attacker who scored both of his side's goals to reach his century for Madrid. Took his free-kick brilliantly and was a constant menace to the Lyon backline.

Came on late in the game and despite showing some nice touches, the Argentine hitman did not have an opportunity at goal.
