A horror show from the Arsenal defence and the two replacement goalkeepers proved the difference tonight against an Olympiakos side who were driven on by their home crowd.
The game comes to an end here, Olympiakos were well deserving of their win tonight, but it looks like it will all be in vain as it stands in Dortmund.
90' + 2'
After an eruption of noise after that goal it seems to have gone very quiet as news that Marseille have gone ahead in their match, rendering their efforts tonight worthless.
90' + 1'
Rafik Zoheir Djebbour
Assist Olof Mellberg
Goal François Modesto
3-1!! Melberg gets his head to a corner, it beats Mannone but not the post. The rebound falls kindly to Modesto who slots home from four yards out. You cant help but feel Arsenal should have done more to challenge Melberg.
Rosicky plays a ball through three defenders to Arshavin but it is just in front of the Russian who slides to try and cut it back to Oxlade-Chamberlain but cant get there and the danger is cleared.
Modesto cuts the ball back to Orbiaz, from the byline. His shot is good, but Mannone gets in the way and pushes it out and it is the cleared.
Yellow Card Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Squillaci tries to cover Mirallas' run down the right, but as the winger cuts back inside the defender slipped and let Mirallas through, but his shot is closed down and ends up in the side netting.
Mannone calls for treatment as he falls struggling with a poor pass back from Djourou. He soldiers on, but if he can't carry on Arsenal will be in trouble, as they have used all three subs.
Rosicky gets on the end of a nice chip into the box from Benayoun, but the keeper plucks the ball away from the foot of the Arsenal man.
Maniatis tries a shot from well out as the ball drops to him, as you would expect the attempt is nowhere near the goal. If it had gone in he would have been a genius, but it didn't and now he looks foolish.
Olympiakos win another corner after Mirallas picks up another sloppy pass from Squillaci. As the corner comes is the ball is touched around the box as neither team can get firm possession, Modesto manages to get a shot away but it is wild and doesn't trouble the goal.
Frimpong commits another foul as he brings down Papadopoulos down 30 yards away from his goal. He should be more careful on a yellow card. The free kick is floated in and is nodded toward the goal, but the threat is tame and Mannone gathers.
Yellow Card Emmanuel Frimpong
Frimpong is cautioned after reckless challenge as he storms in late and catches the defender with a high foot.
Olympiakos nearly retaliate immediately. A mix up between Vermaelen and Mannone leaves the ball in no mans land. Modesto tries to capitalise by sneaking in with a header, he gets there but only manages to put it wide.
Assist Marouane Chamakh
Goal Yossi Benayoun
Arsenal get one back! Benayoun. Miguel lofts a ball into Chamakh in the middle of the box, the striker chests the ball down to Benayoun who is teed up perfectly to smash a volley into the top right hand corner.
Mirallas takes the ball to a covering Oxlade-Chamberlain and the trickery of Mirallas is to much for the young midfielder, but his shot from wide is blocked.
A dangerous corner is not dealt with well by Mannone who comes out to punch but he misses it. Melberg collects the ball on the back post, turns and shoots but Miguel gets in the way and heads it clear.
Santos this time is using the stretcher, he's carried off after picking up a knock in order to receive treatment on the sidelines. He is then replaced by Miguel.
An early chance as Modesto is found in space by a cross from the left. He hits it on the half volley but Mannone is its match and parries well.
Olympiakos get the game restarted, they will be buoyed by the news that Marseille are losing to Dortmund so as it stands they are progressing to the knock-out rounds.
Wenger will not have been expecting wonders from this side tonight, but I think the imposing crowd has taken its effect on the inexperienced players. They haven't been able to gain any real consistency as of yet.
The first half comes to an end. Olympiakos thoroughly deserve their 2-0 lead over a second string Arsenal side who have been pretty poor in the opening 45.
45' + 4'
Santos plays in a good cross from deep on the left and his ball is met by a very advanced Vermaelen, but he heads it on the run and it canons over the Olympiakos goal.
45' + 2'
Djourou gets caught in two minds whilst clearing in his own box, he attempts a pass to Frimpong but it is telegraphed but luckily the resulting shot is poor and Mannone collects with ease.
Chamakh goes down somewhat theatrically as Papadopoulis gets in front of him to make a tackle in the box. The ball pops out of the tackle and goes off of the diving Chamakh for a goal kick.
Mirallas wins a corner as he has two shots blocked, first from Frimpong and secondly from Djourou. Both from tight on the left wing.
Holebas seemed to pick up a knock from his own challenge on Coquelin and as a result is replaced by Orbiaz.
Goal David Fuster
Olympiakos socre again!!! 2-0. A terrible piece of goalkeeping, Mannone comes to the edge of his box to clear with a header but it falls to Fuster who immediately returns the ball. Mannone tries some sort of bicycle kick eventhough he was able to catch it, it all goes wrong for the young keeper and the ball rolls into the back of the net.
Another stretcher is called for after Papadopoulos collides with Chamakh. There didn't seem to be to much contact, but he stayed down. He doesn't need the stretcher as he hobbles on but signals immediately to the referee asking to come back on.
Benayoun benefits from Oxlade-Chamberlain's trickery on the right wing as he puts in a great cross to Benayoun, but the midfielder can only direct his header wide at the back post.
Yellow Card Jose Holebas
Coquelin looks in pain as Holebas catches him with a clumsy challenge as the young midfield snuck in quickly to disposses the Olympiakos player.
It looks like a cut has opened up on Fabianski's leg so Mannone replaces him. He starts the game with a poor goal kick which goes straight into touch.
From the resulting corner Fabianski and vermaelen clash whilst scrambling for the ball. Neither gain possession as it rolls out for a corner, but Fabianski stays down and a stretcher is called for.
A poor pass back from Vermaelen causes Fabianski to scuff his clearence and it falls to Mirallas who tries a long shot, but Fabianski manages to touch it wide.
Arshavin lets go a shot from 30 yards after another storming run from Santos, but he slices it and sees it sail well wide.
Goal Rafik Zoheir Djebbour
1-0!! Olympiakos get us underway. Poor defending and goalkeeping from Arsenal. Djebbour collects deflected pass alone in the box, he rounds a charging Fabianski to slot home from a tight angle on the left of the goal.
After his shot was blocked Chamakh regains the ball in a wide position, he plays it into the middle to Frimpong and he unleashes a good shot which rattles the side netting.
Andre Santos plays a low cross behind the Greek defence, but no Arsenal player is able to get a touch, Chamakh was the closest.
Olympiakos pressing high up the pitch, putting a lot of pressure on the Arsenal defence. They'll just be looking for one mistake from the Arsenal defence.
Arshavin plays a throughball into Chamakh who is wide of the box. he cuts it bag to the Russian who takes advantage of a defender's slip, but Megyeri is off of his line quickly to snuff out the shot.
Yellow Card Avraam Papadopoulos
Papadopoulos picks up a yellow card after catching the leg of Frimpong during a challenge.
Chamakh comits a foul on the half way line, just caught out by a good piece of trickery.
Early chance for Olympiakos. They take advantage of a poor clearance from Fabianski and Modesto cuts the ball back put no player is able to get a meaningful connection.
Arsenal get the game under way, the Olympiakos are out in force tonight hoping to inspire them to qualification if Marseille trip up against Borussia Dortmund.
Arsene Wenger tonight manages Arsenal for the 200th time in Europe.
Oxlade-Chamberlain will be looking to carry-on from his impressive performance last week against Manchester City, and also from the first leg against Olympiakos in which he managed to bag a goal.
Olympiakos need to win this game and rely on Borussia Dortmund to take something away from Marseille in order to progress tonight.
Squillaci lines up in centre of Arsenal's defence and is in-line for his first appearance in the Champions League this season.
As expected Arsene Wenger has opted to rest his star players and give the youth and fringe players a run out in Europe, as Arsenal are guaranteed to finish top of group F.
