West Ham United
Well, I think we can all say that nobody could see that coming! As bad as West Ham were, Forest's performance was very impressive and the Championship side well and truly outplayed thier opponents today. Thank you so much for joining me today. I have been Hayden Gribble and like the Reds, I'll see you in the next round! Take care now.
FULL TIME - NOTTINGHAM FOREST 5-0 WEST HAM. It's all over at the City Ground as the Reds cruise through to the fourth round of the FA Cup with an emphatic thrashing of a depleted Hammers side. A first half penalty from Abdoun gave way to a hat-trick from the impressive Paterson whilst a late finish from Reid well and truly burst Sam Allardyce's bubbles - and those of the suffering travelling support too!

STAT ATTACK: 5 - This is West Ham's biggest Third Round defeat in the FA Cup since 1926 (5-0 v Tottenham). History.

GoalAndy Matthew Reid
GOAL! It's five for Nottingham Forest now as Abdoun lays the ball off the Reid, who strokes the ball high into the roof of the net!
DEFLECTION! Jarvis muscles through for the visitors but his shot hits Jara and deflects onto the roof on the net for a corner!
Fanimo shepherds the ball out of play under great pressure again from Reid - who has been fantastic today. The game is more like a friendly now as West Ham's fate is all but inevitable.
Yellow CardMatt Derbyshire
There is no hiding place out there for the Hammers as they continue to look vulnerable all over the pitch. The injuries that Sam Allardyce has had to contend with this year will be used as an excuse for this result but they really have been poor from kick-off onwards.
WIDE! Lansbury has had a great afternoon out there but has been extremely wasteful in front of goal as he skews his low effort wide of goal.
OVER! It could have been 5-0. Subsitute Cox rises at the back post to meet a glorious Reid cross but he fails to steer his header on target!
This really has been a baptism of fire for many of the Hammers players out there making their debuts today but that should not detract from what has been a fantastic display from the home side!
GOAL! HAT-TRICK FOR PATERSON! It is a day that the Forest striker will never forget as he completes his treble with a great finish low to Adrian's right after cutting inside and condeming West Ham to what will be a torrid defeat!
GREAT SAVE! A fantastic delivery from Abdoun on the right finds Cox, who gets across his defender and heads towards goal, but Adrian is equal to it!
We still have 15 minutes to go here at the City Ground and the home side are looking hungry for more!
SAVE! What this must be doing to the confidence of this young Hammers side I will never know. But the visitors nearly grab an immediate consolation but Darrow keeps out a shot from range.
GOAL! Game, set and match, Forest! Lansbury wanders into the box unchallenged and lays it off to Paterson, whose shot takes a slight deflection past Adrian. It's 3-0 now and no way back for West Ham!
OVER THE BAR! Paterson could have helped himself to another as the goalscorer slips as he shoots and balloons the ball into the stands. Yet another chance for the home side to rub salt into West Ham's already gaping wounds!
That has really silenced the visitors, who had been enjoying thier best spell of the game just before that goal. Sam Allardyce does not look a happy man!
GOAL! That's the second for Forest and surely seals the game for the Championship side! Paterson latches onto a loose ball and drives his shot low into the bottom corner. Adrian couldn't keep it out and the Reds go double their lead!
OVER! Paterson - a contender for man of the match in my eyes - sees Lansbury breaking forward in front of him. He plays a through-ball to the midfielder but once again his effort is blasted over!
STAT ATTACK: The teams have met five times in the FA Cup. Forest's victory in the 91 semi-final is their only FA Cup success against West Ham. The Hammers have won each of the other four FA Cup meeting between the two.
FREE HEADER! Lansbury rises to meet a Reid free-kick on the left but his effort goes just over the bar. The lineman's flag is up too, but it is another reminder to Billy Davies that his side really need to kill this game off!
GOOD SAVE! Darlow scrambles down to his right to palm yet another Hammers chance away. Nervy times for the Reds, here!
Abdoun is unlucky not to have beaten the offside trap as the Hammers step up at the back. We are entering the final thirty minutes and there are definitely signs that the visitors haven't given up on this yet!
This is by far West Ham's best period of the game but it has yet to yield an equaliser. Big Sam has decided now is the time to make some changes.
OVER! The Hammers are finding some intensity coming forward and Whitehead goes for it from 20 yards but his shot is takes a deflection and balloons out for another corner.
ANOTHER CHANCE! Downing leads the counter-attack and gets his shot away inside the box, but Jara slides in to put the ball out for a corner. There's something to give the visiting supporters hope!
BLOCKED! Forest have started this half exactly as they ended the last one as Paterson's left-footed effort from 15 yards is blocked by Driver.
SAVE! Abdoun manages to get a shot away on goal but his close-range effort is saved by Adrian. Either side of the keeper there and Forest would have their second goal!
Forest get us back underway!
Sam Allardyce made a comment in a pre-match interview today stating that the FA Cup is the third most important tournament for his side this season. Well, I wonder if he has also said that to his players because they have been dire so far this afternoon? Will it take some magic from Ravel Morrison to get the Hammers back in this?
HALF TIME - NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1-0 WEST HAM. The Championship side have been by far the better of the two sides as we go into the break with an early penalty from Abdoun the only goal in a torrid display from the Premier League side so far today. The Reds have had the better of the chances with only a Maiga shot that was thwarted by a last-ditch tackle from Lichaj to speak of from the visitors. More to come in the second half!
Yellow CardSebastian Lletget
There will be ONE minute of added on time.
With only a minute to go plus stoppages you'd have thought that it was the Red who were the Premier League side!
PENALTY SHOUT? Reid ghosts past Diarra and the ball looks to have bounced off the defender's arm. On replay, it looks like it actually hit his leg and spooned up in the air. Nothing doing for the referee.
DOUBLE CHANCE! Two massive chances for Forest to double their lead! Reid plays a lovely ball into Lichaj, but Adrian blocks his low shot one-on-one. The Hammers fail to clear and Lansbury fires just over from the edge of the box!
BLOCKED! A mix-up at the back for the hosts results in a half-chance for Moncur, but the midfielder's effort is blocked before it reaches goal. Meanwhile it looks like Maiga had hurt himself after winning the ball in the move.
SAVE! The home side are really on top here against an inexperienced Hammers side. The composed passing play is causing jitters at the back. They string together over a dozen passes which culminates in Halford's header being smothered by Adrian!
GOAL SAVING CHALLENGE! Maiga receives a through-ball in the box, he must score! But the striker hesitates and allows Lichaj to make a last ditch tackle. Good defending again from the Championship side!
The Hammers really are on the ropes at the moment as Forest continue to break! A good, searching cross from Abdoun is cleared out of harm's way by Diarra.
SAVE! 'Come on you Reds!' echoes around the ground as Forest continue to dominate possession. Lascelles goes for it from a long way out...but his effort bounces just in front of Adrian and causes little concern for the keeper.
PENALTY SHOUT! Driver looks to have slid in unfairly on Halford, who has crumpled in pain in the six-yard-box. Boos ring round the ground as West Ham play. Looks like the youngster got his foot to that, great tackle!
Okay, I'll be honest. The City Ground is so empty and quiet its more sunday league than it is FA Cup this afternoon. No wonder commentators wonder whatever happened to the magic of the cup.
Lansbury is put clean through in the box but the former Arsenal man lacks pace to get his shot away as Adrian rushes to meet it. There was one hell of as gap in the Hammers defence there!
SAVE! Lansbury concedes a free-kick in a dangerous position roughly 20 yards from the Forest goal. Morrison picks his spot...and it draws a great save from Darlow who tips it over for a corner!
Moncur plays a lovely ball through to Jarvis on the right but the former Wolves winger gets tied up in knots and fails to keep the ball in play. Good move that from the visitors but they need to be more direct if they are to equalise!
There is so little atmosphere at the ground you'd think the two teams were playing in a library! Morrison turns well in midfield but runs into a wall of red shirts as Forest stand firm.
Forest are looking so comfortable on the ball at the moment and the Hammers are struggling to create anything at all. Could this be a giant killing on the cards?
The Hammers win a corner on the right-hand-side. Downing plays it short to Morrison but the youngster fails to create a goalscoring opportunity.
STAT ATTACK: 1 - Nottingham Forest have won only one of their last ten games against West Ham United in all competitions (D2 L7). Will they add to that win today?
Penalty GoalDjamel Abdoun
GOAL! What a confident penalty from Abdoun! He steps up and delicately chips the ball down the middle as Adrian dives out of the way. First blood Forest!
PENALTY TO FOREST! Paterson turns away from Moncur but the defender upends him. Spot kick to the home side!
The home support are chanting 'Premier League? You're having a laugh!' at the travelling Hammers. The visitors win the game's first corner, which is plucked out of the air by Darlow.
The atmosphere - I'm afraid to say - is a little flat for an FA Cup tie so far. We need a moment of genius to set the crowd roaring!
Driver recovers well after a slip at the back post nearly lets Halford with a clear attempt on goal. West Ham clear the danger.
Both teams are looking to build possession in the half-empty City Ground. No goalmouth action to speak of yet.
We are off with The Hammers kicking from right to left!
The players are emerging from the tunnel with the Premier League outfit in their changed strip of white shirts - who will go through to the fourth round?
Are we on for an upset today? Forest are the bookies' favourites and with West Ham's injury problems maybe their priorities lie elsewhere. Anyway, we are nearing kick-off!
Meanwhile the Hammers' nightmare on the injury front continues as Sam Allardyce makes nine changes to the side who lost to Fulham last time out. Stewart Downing comes into the side and takes the captain's armband whilst George Moncur, son of former player John, is given the chance to create a fairytale afternoon in the cup.
The Reds boss Billy Davies makes just two changes to the side that drew against Reading on New Years Day. Djamel Abdoun and Guy Moussi start whilst Andy Reid is given the captain's armband.
