Dreadful evening for the Newcastle goalkeeper as the ball hit the back of his net four times. All started after a horror moment for the opener on the stroke of half-time when he failed to deal with a tame Bendtner header and the ball ended up bouncing in off his back.
Central defender started reasonably but let Bendtner pick up the ball unchallenged too often. Controversially taken out off the ball by the Dane in the build-up to the second goal but throughout the night was too weak in the physical battles.
Strangely fielded as a central defender, the natural full-back looked out of his depth against Arsenal's fluid attacking. Too small to deal with Bendtner and offered no support to the hapless Kadar as Walcott rampaged.
Nightmare at left-back for the Hungarian defender, who time and again was caught ball watching and punished by Walcott's blistering pace.
Kept Vela quiet with a solid defensive display. Offered little attacking threat but one of the few positives for Chris Hughton's side.
Showed early promise with a powerful run and left foot shot that hit the side netting and played some dangerous crosses into the Arsenal penalty area from his position on the left side of midfield.
Quiet performance from the winger, who seemed scared to run at the Arsenal defenders before being hauled off in the 56th minute.
Kept Newcastle ticking in central midfielder but did not play the ball quick enough to create clear chances for the Newcastle strikers.
The most dangerous player for Newcastle in the first-half. It wasn't pretty but his power and non-stop running always looked as though it could be the source of a goal for the hosts. Needed to be more composed after knocking the ball past the goalkeeper, but his shot towards an unguarded net was blocked by Koscielny.
Stunning 30-yard thunderbolt from the midfielder could have changed the game but his effort was incredibly tipped onto the crossbar by Szczesny. Replaced by Barton 19 minutes from time as the home side went in search of goals.
Started as a striker but drifted out wide in search of the ball as he lacked the intelligence to get away from the Arsenal defenders. Substituted for Carroll in the 57th minute after never imposing himself on the game.
The Polish teenager has been begging for a chance to shine at Arsenal and produced a hugely accomplished performance. Nervy start as he rushed out to challenge Ranger and failed to get the ball but responded with stunning fingertip save to push Smith's 30-yard rasper onto the crossbar.
Calm and assured performance at the back with superb reading of the game as he made timely blocks and interceptions, particularly early on to deny Ranger.
Appears to be growing in confidence by the game. A commanding performance, although he found life tougher after Carroll's introduction. Provided inadvertent assist for Walcott's goal with a towering defensive header. Tested when Carroll came on but coped with physical threat.
Injury nightmare struck again as he was forced off in the 19th minute following a challenge with Routledge.
Forced over to the left following injury to Gibbs, a solid performance from the Ivorian with some well-timed tackles. Earned praise from Arsenal fans who consider him a cult hero. Should have done better with first-half chance he put into the side netting.
The defensive midfielder is certainly not afraid to put his weight about. Made some crunching tackles and complemented his impressive defensive work with assured passing. Rarely ventured forward as he sat in the holding role.
A tidy performance from the Brazilian midfielder, who was given freedom to play in a more advanced role and linked up well with Rosicky.
Always drifting into space and looking to create goalscoring opportunities for his team-mates. Provided some lovely passes in behind the Newcastle defence for Walcott to run onto.
Simply had too much pace as he destroyed the home defence with direct running. Looked fresh in the first-half and scored his fifth goal of the season with two lovely finishes, a cheeky chip and a calmly slotted effort after rushing through on goal both times.
A lively performance from the Dane, who grew in stature as the game wore on. Scuffed his early efforts but then played a part in the first three goals. Controversial block on Williamson for Arsenal's second but a wonderful strike into the top corner for the visitors' third.
A quiet game from the Mexican, who could have scored within the first 20 seconds but struck to close to the goalkeeper. Replaced by Fabregas 20 minutes from time.

Came on for Smith in the 71st minute. Lots of huff and puff - and one good free-kick - but didn't have the final delivery. Made a couple of wild challengers that angered Arsene Wenger.
Offered far more of a threat than Lovenkrands, who he replaced in the 57th minute. Gave the Arsenal defenders something to think about with his strength and aerial ability.
