The visitors were thoroughly beaten in New Jersey, as Henry, Rodgers, Lindpere, and Agudelo did the damage in a triumphant win for the Americans
Jan Gonnar Solli got things rolling with a pair of quick-fire assists. First, his low cross slipped through to Henry, who calmly opened his hips and slotted home. Five minutes later a Solli feed came to Luke Rodgers atop the box. The Englishman tipped the ball up with his left foot and connected with a ferocious swerving volley with his right.
Just before half-time, Joel Lindpere put the ball in the back of the net from a tight-angled free kick, but the referee called it back as Rodgers had blocked Stefan Frei. Lindpere scribbled his name on the score sheet soon enough, slotting home a Dane Richards ball in the second half.
The Estonian then concentrated on creating goals for others. Juan Agudelo headed home Lindpere's corner and then tipped in his low cross in the waning minutes to cap the score at five.
"The thing we did well today was to not concede a goal. That always helps," Henry said. "If you look at our record on goals, it is more than impressive. And today if Agudelo did not score the last one, it would have been four-nil with four different goal scorers."
