Turkey seem to lack creativity at the moment as Holland are happy to allow the Turkish defence a long spell of possession in their own half.
Narsingh gets past Hassan Ali with ease, but his cross again lacks accuracy as Tolga collects it.
Robben nutmegs Semih in what seems like a promising situation for the Dutch, but the defender spots the danger and makes a professional foul.
Sercan, who has looked lively throughout the game, makes way for Burak.
Hamit is starting to look tired at right-back and loses sight of Robben once more. Omer comes to the rescue, though, and the following corner leads to nothing.
Yellow Card Tunay Torun
OOOHHH!! And now it's Turkey with a gilt-edged chance. Sercan beats Van Rhijn to a good cross from the right, but his strong header goes inches over the bar.
AAAHHHH!!! That really should have been the 2-0! Sneijder with a great pass for Robben, who chips it over Tolga in the direction of Van Persie. The Man Utd man didn't expect the ball anymore, though, and was unable to head it home.
Promising attack from the 2010 World Cup finalists via Narsingh. The winger fires in a low cross for Sneijder, which is intercepted by Omer. The loose ball ends up at Fer, but his shot goes yards over the target.

It's the Dutch who have dominated play so far in the second half. Van Persie reaches Sneijder in midfield, who immediately tries to find Robben with a through pass. Nevertheless, Hamit has a clear eye on what's happening and intercepts.
Another change for Oranje: Clasie makes way for Twente midfielder Fer, who makes his second international appearance.

And the referee blows his whistle for half-time. Netherlands are 1-0 up courtesy of a single Robin van Persie strike. Turkey have had their chances, though, and will be wondering how they didn't score.
