FULL TIME! Netherlands 3-0 Andorra is the final scoreline, as a gritty performance from the visitors limited the Oranje's attacking potency. Three points in the bag for the Dutch, but not a perfect performance by any means. Thanks for joining me, and stick with goal.com for a full match report and player ratings!
The free kick comes to nothing, and three minutes of extra time are set to be played here in Rotterdam.
The match is drawing to a close now, and the Netherlands will be disappointed with their profligacy. Afellay wins a free kick some 30 yards out.
Pujol wins a free kick for the hosts in the middle of the park, after Janmaat went in too forcefully.
As dominant as the Dutch have been, they've lacked any form of incisiveness through the centre. Cross after cross has been put in, but against congested defences such as these a bit more craft is required. Wesley Sneijder, that'd be your cue!
The AC Milan does step up, but his curved effort flies wide.
Free kick in a dangerous position for Netherlands, just outside the penalty box... Emanuelson to take, I assume.
Andorra have won their first corner of the game. The delivery is poor however, and the Dutch are back in possession.
Moreira is substituted as Andorra look to run down the match. That's one man who won't be remembering this match too fondly - Schaken has run absolutely rampant on his flank today.
The Dutch really should be 5 or 6 up here. Traffic has been entirely one way, but the the hosts are showing a surprising lack of incisiveness.
Schaken sends in another cross, but with three Oranje players lurking in the area none can seem to get a good head to it.
Positive stuff from Janmaat as the right back drives into the penalty box. Gomes somehow gets a foot to the youngster's delivery however, and the Andorra backline can breathe a sigh of relief.
That substitution rules out an appearance for Robin van Persie tonight - is the Manchester United man being rested for Tuesday's clash?
Kevin Strootman has left the field for Urby Emanuelson. Disappointing performance from the captain, who arguably failed to stamp his mark on the game.
Huntelaar again! Kuyt puts in a delightful delivery from the left which finds his compatriot unmarked and eye-to-eye with Gomes, whose relfexes deny the former Real Madrid man for the second time in a minute!
Huntelaar nearly gets his 35th international goal! The striker nods the ball along but Gomes pulls on a class save to deny the Schalke man!
A comfortable a win as this has been, the fans in attendance will have been hoping for more goals. That 11-0 romp over San Marino did set the bar somewhat, mind you...
Rafael van der Vaart
Ibrahim Affelay and Dirk Kuyt enter the field, with Rafael van der Vaart and Jeremain Lens making way. That'll likely see Afellay fill the no.10 spot, with Kuyt slotting in on the left flank.
Andorra very nearly had a spell of possession there, but one wayward pass and the hosts are back in control.
The Dutch win their 7th corner of the match as San Nicolas puts it behind. It comes to nothing however, and the hosts can build play from the back.
Schaken looks to latch on to a Strootman through ball, but it's overhit and out for a goalkick. Afellay looks poised to come on shortly.
Netherlands next fixture is the potentially crucial one against Romania, who currently top the Group D table alongside the Dutch.
The Dutch are ramping up the tempo here, as the ball is stroked around in the final third. Dirk Kuyt and Ibrahim Affelay are warming up on the sidelines... more misery for Andorra's fullbacks to come?
OOOH Lens comes close. The winger sends in a rocket after cutting in from the left, Gomes saves, and Van der Vaart makes a mess of the rebound.
The Netherlands U21's are in the stands tonight, and surely must be fancying their chances of making the senior squad under the youth-favoring policy of van Gaal.
The Oranje are knocking on the door for a fourth here, as Schaken puts in what must be about his 10th cross of the night.
Huntelaar should do better! The striker should put it away with the ball bouncing six yards out, but the Dutchman's volley is poor and it flies over.
San Nicolas is looking no more capable against the threat of Lens as Rodrigues was... can the PSV man get a goal tonight?
Vlaar hits the post! Towering header from the Aston Villa man, but with the keeper beaten the ball rockets off the woodwork.
Moisés San Nicolás
San Nicolas enters the fray for Rodrigues... can the substitute subdue the dangerous Lens on the left?
Huntelaar should grab his second! The Schalke man plays a lovely one two with Schaken, but stumbles as he attempts to control the return.
Goal Ruben Schaken
GOAL!!! Schaken makes it three on his international debut! Sloppy from the visitors sees the ball fall to the Feyenoord man in the 6 yard box, and it was a simple tap in really.
Schaken is looking up for it tonight, as he storms past his stumbling marker and puts in a cross. It's a poor one though, and put behind for a corner.
We're back underway in Rotterdam. No substitutions have been made by either team.
HALF-TIME! The Netherlands are 2-0 up courtesy of two early strikes from Van der Vaart and Huntelaar. Will the Dutch extend their lead in the second half, or will van Gaal opt to field some inexperienced figures with his side cruising? We will know in fifteen minutes.
One minute of extra time to be added as Schaken unsuccesfully attempts to wriggle his way through 3 Andorra defenders...
The first half is drawing to a close now, with the hosts cruising to victory.
Van der Vaart looks to pick out Lens with a long ball forward, but the winger cannot get to it and it's behind for a goal kick.
Daryl Janmaat goes into the referee's book after another foul. This one didn't seem too harsh, but it'll be his earlier infractions which prompted the referee to caution the Dutchman.
Yellow Card Daryl Janmaat
GOAL... DISALLOWED! Van der Vaart nods a delivery from the right into the path of Martens Indi. The defender puts it in the net, but is judged to have been offside.
Yellow Card Victor Moreira
Victor Moreira goes in recklessly on Schaken, and is booked.
Andorra appear to be applying slightly more pressure in the middle of the park at the moment, but the hosts remain composed and keep hold of the ball. Rodrigues concedes a corner for the visitors after Schaken puts in a cross.
Aaaah Lens should do better. A wayward cross from Schaken finds the PSV man in the area, but the 24-year old opts to go for goal on the half volley, which ends up in Row Z.
Strootman puts in a freekick from the left, but no Oranje player can get their head to it. The visitors nearly break on the counterattack, but de Jong is on hand to recover possession.
Lens and van der Vaart look to combine in the middle of the field as the former charges forward, but he's met by three Andorra defenders.
Schaken puts in yet another cross, which Huntelaar and van der Vaart really should do better getting to.
Play is back underway, and Lens puts in a delivery from the right. Every Andorra player appears to be in their own box at the moment however, and the ball can't find a way through.
Andorra's Pujol has gone down after a duel with Nigel de Jong. The midfielder fell awkwardly off an aerial challenge, and I expect he'll be back up soon enough.
The crowd has settled, and so have the hosts. The result is already beyond Andorra, and every player on the pitch seems to know it.
Nearly 3-0! Huntelaar sends in a scrappy effort from the edge of the six-yard area, but after taking two deflections the ball flies out for another corner, which comes to nothing.
Kevin Strootman, Oranje's skipper tonight, has been anonymous up to this point. The PSV midfielder has been restricted to one touch distribution, and van Gaal will expect more of the talented 22-year old.
Sloppy from Huntelaar. The striker looks to pick up the ball on the right flank, but his follow-up pass to Lens is poor and Andorra can throw in.
Andorra's Ayala has gone down in the middle of the pitch, and replays suggest the midfielder took a knee to the groin. He's back up, however, and play resumes.
Schaken gets beyond his marker, but runs it behind before he can centre it. The Andorra full backs are looking susceptible at the moment.
Janmaat looks to steal the ball from an Andorra in their box, but comes in too recklessly and concedes a foul.
Andorra's Pujol refuses to give up on a loose ball and nearly finds a way through the Dutch defence. Stekelenburg collects, however.
The ball is played back to Stekelenburg as the Dutch settle into a comfortable passing rhythm. The visitors are being overrun on every part of the pitch at the moment.
Netherlands' biggest ever victory came in a September 2011 match against San Marino, which the Oranje won 11-0. Could that record come under threat tonight?
Assist Jeremain Lens
Goal Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
GOAL!!! Huntelaar makes it 2-0! The No.9 isn't marked properly on a Lens delivery, and he is the one man who you cannot give a chance to score... 34 international goals for the Schalke man now - and is there more to come?
Martens Indi has the chance to put in a cross from the left after his marker stumbles down, but the delivery is poor and Andorra clear.
Huntelaar very nearly latches on to a through ball from Lens, but is crowded out by the Andorra centre-halves.
De Jong! The AC Milan midfielder is unmarked on a Netherlands corner, but can't get his header on target.
The corner comes to nothing, and Sebastian Gomes has a hopeful effort on the other side of the field. Catching practice for Stekelenburg.
The hosts win the first corner of the night. The crowd is buzzing after that opening goal.
Assist Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
Goal Rafael van der Vaart
GOAL!!! Rafael van der Vaart scores on his centurion appearance! The midfielder picks is found by Huntelaar, and drives forward before finishing clinically past Gomes. 1-0 Netherlands!
Lens outpaces his marker on the left, but his delivery is woeful and the visitors can clear.
Van der Vaart looks to retain possession in front of the Andorra back four, but is crowded out and forced to play it back.
Schaken's appearance tonight is only his first in an Oranje jersey, despite being 30 years old.
Schaken sends in another delivery, but its overhit, and it's behind for a goal kick.
Schaken, debutising for the Oranje tonight, puts in his first cross from the right, but it's a poor one and ends up nowhere.
Jeremain Lens gets his first touch of the night, beating off two Andorra players before laying it off to Martens Indi. Lens is the man in form for both club and country, scoring one and setting up three more at the weekend.
The hosts have taken possession and settled into a passing rhythm around the middle of the pitch.
The visitors get us underway!
Strong call for a penalty from the Dutch there! Lens goes own under the challenge of Rodrigues. The Andorra man seems to get nothing on the ball, but Lens does make the most of it and the referee waves it away.
De Jong has another chance to score, this time rising above the crowd to head the ball... past the post.
Schaken beats his marker again, but his cross is intercepted and the Dutch have a corner.
We're moments away from kick-off. Netherlands are donned in their traditional orange kits, while Andorra are playing in their secondary, an entirely blue, kit.
Rafael van der Vaart is making his 100th appearance for the Netherlands tongith, and is being honoured ahead of the game by the head of the Dutch FA. The HSV playmaker is only 29 years old - is he set to overhaul Edwin van der Sar's record 130 caps?
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been given the nod ahead of Robin van Persie, with van Gaal expecting his side to create plenty of goalscoring opportunities for the Schalke forward to latch on to. Ominous for the visitors, as the prolific 27-year old is just seven goals shy of Frank Rijkaard's 40 strikes for the Oranje - and he'll certainly be looking to further close that gap tonight.
Louis van Gaal recently replaced Bert van Marwijk at the helm of the Oranje, and implemented an immediate tactical change in midfield. The Dutch now field two rather than one attacking midfielder, with Nigel de Jong anchoring playmakers Rafael van der Vaart and Kevin Strootman on this particular occasion. Here are the full line-ups for both teams: NETHERLANDS: Stekelenburg; Janmaat, Heitinga, Vlaar, Martens Indi; van der Vaart, de Jong, Strootman; Schaken, Huntelaar, Lens ANDORRA: Gomes; Moreira, Garcia, Lima, Rodrigues; Vieira, Vales, Pujol, Lorenzo; Garcia, Gomez
It's certainly a case of David vs. Goliath tonight, as the 2010 World Cup finalists take on the European minnows. The sides have met on four previous occasions, with four wins, 16 goals scored and none conceded making for pleasant reading for Dutch fans.
