M. De Sanctis
Made one save early in the match. Otherwise no real work for him to do.
Mannini got past him a couple of times, but over the course of the game he overcame a very predictable opponent.
Good over lapping runs throughout the game. Pinned Ziegler back and rarely allowed Guberti past him. Worked hard and was hit in the head from a free kick for his troubles.
Caught out once early on as Macheda got in behind him, but other than that coped well with the youngster keeping him very quiet. Never allowed Guberti any room either.
Did well however he didn't rampage forward as much as he would have liked. Defensively solid, and performed a good supporting role behind Lavezzi.
Tidying up well at the back, won everything in the air and was never troubled at all by either Macheda and Maccarone. Taken off midway through the second half.
Excellent composure to take his goal and also set up Cavani's third with some unselfish play. Always in space and combined with Cavani, Lavezzi and Zuniga to devastating effect.
Excellent in midfield, hassled and harried both Tissone and Palombo. Nearly scored with a rasping effort at the end.
Broke forward well from midfield and even found time to nutmeg Mannini. Crossed for Cavani, which the striker couldn't connect properly with. Won his midfield battle with Palombo.
Took his goal well, but maybe a little fortunate with Accardi's slip. Picked his spot for the penalty sending Curci the wrong way, then scored his 17th Serie A goal, and second hat-trick of the season just before the hour mark. Worked hard and regained possession high up the park for his team on numerous occasions.
Was clearly in the mood by bringing out the full repertoire of tricks and flicks. Excellent ball for Cavani's opener, burned Zauri for Hamsik's strike and all that was needed was a goal to cap an outstanding afternoons work. Silly booking for not retreating at a free kick.
Mix up with Accardi almost cost his side, sent the wrong way by Cavani for the second. Committed himself far to early for the striker's third. Did redeem himself slightly with an excellent double save in the last few minutes.
Hopeless. Very much lost his battle with Lavezzi, allowing him too much time and space on the ball, a clear example was the third goal and he was taken off straight after.
His slip cost the first goal, Conceded a penalty with clumsy challenge on Cavani and let Hamsik have too much room to line up shot for the third. A very bad day at the office.
A subdued performance, failed to get forward at all and struggled to deal with Zuniga and Hamsik when they combined on his flank.
Spent a lot of time covering the woeful Zauri but he was equally terrible when up against the in form Lavezzi.
Didn't impose himself at all and lost possession to the hungrier Yebda and Gargano.
Provided little cover for his full-back and no penetration going forward.
As with his midfield partner, taken out the game completely as Yebda and Gargano owned the centre of the park. Hooked for Poli with 20 minutes left.
Having no joy on the left wing at all as Santacroce and Zuniga dealt with him well. Cut inside a few times as well, no no effect at all.
Had one chance early on but took one touch too many. Failed to hold up the ball to any effect and was never really in the game at all. Lasted only 55 minutes.
The only creative spark for his team, though he had little support from his team mates. Easily shackled by Campagnaro and Cannavaro.
- 1 Angelo Da Costa
Brought on for Zauri and did a little better, but Napoli were on autopilot by this point.
- 11 V. Koman
- 55 N. Krstičić
- 18 Z. Laczkó
Made little impact after coming on for Tissone.
Made as much impact against Santacroce as Macheda, whom he replaced.
