Quiet first half in which he only had to deal with a couple of basic crosses, but had to be on top form to keep out Rosina's sharp effort in the second. Might be disappointed not to have prevented Paolucci's header.
M. De Sciglio
Didn't have a great deal to do today, just like most of Milan's back four, but will probably be annoyed he let Angelo's cross into the box for Siena's consolation goal.
Didn't get forward as much as he usually likes to and became frustrated by the number of fouls against him. Still, he was a handful going forward.
Almost brought about the opening goal with his wayward cross in the opening minutes. Failed to really impose himself thereafter but hard to fault his effort.
Quiet day at the back where he didn't half to break a sweat to deal with Siena's front pair. Like his team-mates, though, will be frustrated at the lack of a clean sheet.
Deliveries from set pieces always posed a threat to the Siena defence. Showed his vision with a few cute passes behind Siena's backline but all too often these were cut out.
Frustrating afternoon for the midfielder, who was subbed fairly early in the second half. Wayward passing and midfield scraps saw him make way for goalscorer Bojan.
Marshalled the midfield well and compensated for Nocerino's tired display. Was booked in the process but was one of the players that dragged Milan through a difficult game.
Really impressive second-half performance after a lazy opening 45 minutes. Created a number of really good chances for his team-mates that should have been taken but came up trumps with his cross for Bojan's opener.
S. El Shaarawy
A constant threat to Siena down the left flank, only denied the opening goal by a brave stop from Pegolo. Will have been disappointed not to have made the scoresheet this afternoon, though, given he had a number of fine chances. to add to his impressive goals tally.
Was a constant nuisance for Siena all afternoon and eventually got his reward from the penalty spot. Received a booking that will see him miss the next match but that was the only black spot on a decent performance.
Had to be alert from the offset to deny Constant and El Shaarawy in the opening exchanges. Showed bravery on a number of occasions when dealing with Milan's strike force but nothing he could have done about either goal.
C. Del Grosso
Looked dangerous in attack and produced one of the visitors' best chances when setting up Rosina. Was beaten time after time by Boateng at the other end, however.
Needless foul for the penalty as neither him nor Pazzini were likely to reach the loose ball. Struggled with the strength of Milan's centre forward all afternoon
Booked in the first half for a stupid tackle on Nocerino and couldn't create much for Siena's starting strikers. Lovely assist for Paolucci's consolation, though.
Held up well with Felipe for large parts of the game. Siena's defence gave away fewer chances than usual and that was largely down to this man's performance.
Booked for his part in what was largely scrappy contest. He struggled to contain El Shaarawy on the right in the first half but his job was made easier when the emphasis was passed to the left in the second and he improved as a result.
Not too prominent at either end for the visitors as he tried but failed to produce a decent link between midfield and attack.
Had Siena's only meaningful effort of a dour first half and didn't have much to work with in the second. Another player to be booked in a scrappy, niggling encounter.
Substituted in the second half, D'Agostino spent much of his time trying to rough up the Milan midfield in the first half. At the end of the day, it failed to work.
Like his strike partner, was largely anonymous in the opening 45, however really should have put his side ahead when set up by Del Grosso at the beginning of the second period.
Will have felt, like most of his team-mates, that he was definitely fouled in the run up to Milan's opening strike. Despite this, he will still have been pretty disappointed by his own display.
Came on for D'Agostino but didn't contribute much to the match.
Came on in the second half but wasn't given long enough to make a great impact to proceedings.
Took his goal well with a powerful header past Abbiati. Not a lot else the substitute could do though during his 10-minute cameo.
