That's that then. Milan win here 3-0. And my word it was dull. Cagliari offered nothing. Milan took advantage. I've been Alex Mott. Cheers.
Four minutes of added on time here.
OOFFF. A great shot form Van Bommel is powered at goal, but Agazzi gets down well and palms the ball away to safety.
Want to know how easy this is for Milan? Inzaghi is coming on.
Ibra goes on a mazey run through the Cagliari defence, but he gets a bit too ahead of himself, and eventually runs out of room for a shot.
This is literally a practice match now for Milan. Abate and Van Bommel take it in turns to flick the ball over the head of El Kabir.
Assist Urby Emanuelson
Goal Massimo Ambrosini
GOOOAAALLLL MILAN. And that's surely it? Ambrosini receives the ball outside the area, takes a touch, and flicks it with the outside of his right foot, into the bottom left-hand corner.
Yellow Card Alessandro Nesta
Abate, who's been a bit quiet this half, goes on a surging run down the right and puts in a fantastic ball. Agazzi reads it well though, and comes out to collect the ball.
I think Cagliari have just had their first shot on target! And it's not great to be honest. A shot from El Kabir is deflected, and loops up into the arms of Abbiati.
A free kick from Milan is fired in from the right, and finds the right foot of Nocerino. His volley is struck towards goal, but it goes inches wide.
Stephan El Shaarawy
Cagliari are really working hard now. Nainggolan is showing exactly why Juventus are after him.
Moestafa El Kabir
Ibarbo hasn't played well at all tonight. And just to prove my point, a through ball from Cossu goes to the Uruguyan, but his touch is poor, and the ball runs away for goal kick.
And just as I say that, Milan nearly score. Nocerino fires in an early shot, first time, from outside the area. Agazzi though, gets down well, and tips the ball around the post.
I'm not going to lie to you readers, there's not an awful lot happening here. Cagliari are keeping the ball much better, but don't have the neccessary fire power to worry Milan, at all, at the back.
Ballardini has clearly said something at half time to his players. Cagliari look a lot more comfortable on the ball this half.
Cagliari are on the ball now for the first time. Cossu though, can't quite get his cross away, and Milan clear upfield.
And we're back. Milan get us underway, kicking from left-to-right.
Goals from Ibrahimovic and Nocerino have put Milan ahead here. And if truth be told, it's been fairly easy.
And that's it. Half time. 2-0 Milan.
The Sardinians look completely shocked here. Milan are now treating this like a practice match.
Assist Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Goal Antonio Nocerino
GOOOOAAAAALLLL MILAN. Again. And that is, once again, superb. A long ball from Mexes finds the chest of Ibrahimovic. The big Swede then plays it down to Nocerino, who fires it into the back of the net, first time, from outside the area.
Cagliari take kick off, and immediately lose the ball. Milan then pump it upfield, win a corner, and take said corner. It's whipped in by Seedorf, but Cagliari header it away, and the danger is averted.
Goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL MILAN. And that is some goal. A free kick, 25yds from goal, is hit by Ibrahimovic, and it flies right into the top left-hand corner of the net. Unbelievable.
Mesbah's really starting to come into his own now. This time, he gets to the left byline and puts in a low cross. Agazzi reads it though, and gathers the ball easily.
A fantastic ball from Seedorf finds Ibra on the left-hand side of the area. He tries a few tricks, but is unsuccessful, and Cagliari nick the ball from his feet and clear away the danger.
Ibrahimovic on the byline, cuts the ball back to the oncoming Mesbah, but his first time shot is well over the bar.
Cagliari are slowly but surely coming into this game now. Nainggolan really does look the real deal as he comes forward with the ball. Van Bommel though, is after him all the way, and tackles well from behind.
Dessena comes away with the ball after dispossessing Robinho. He saunters forward with the ball and tries to play it through to Ibarbo, but the ball is overhit and Abbiati gathers easily.
A cross form Abate finds the head of Ibrahimovic, but it's flicked away for a corner by Agazzi. The corner is played short to Mesbah, but his shot from the edge of the area is rubbish.
Emanuelson slips a beautiful ball through to Seedorf. But the former Madrid man slips at the precise moment he's about to pull the trigger, and Cagliari clear.
Edwin Andoh on Twitter things Milan are going to win this 3-1. 1?
Milan are just keeping the ball at will. Eventually, Cagliari get frustrated, and Irbabo completely takes out Mesbah. Shocking, but quite funny.
It's all Milan at the moment. Seedorf, Nocerino and Robinho are seeing an awful lot of the ball outside the area, but can't quite penetrate the Cagliari defence.
Yellow Card Mark van Bommel
Robinho is completely running this game at the moment. That time, the Brazilian dances away from two defenders, sees the run of Abate on his right, plays him in. But the pass is a tad overhit, and the ball runs away for a goal kick.
Nainggolan goes on his first charging run of the game. But this time, Van Bommel tracks back and tackles the Belgian, regaining possession for Milan just inside their own half.
Ibrahimovic just looks so much more comfortable playing up front with Robinho, doesn't he? For the first time, the two of them link up just outside the area, but the final ball from Robinho is a bit rushed, and Cagliari intercept.
Cagliari go on their first saunter into the Milan half, but the cross from Cossu is poor, and Nesta clears away the danger.
A long ball from Abbiati goes towards the head of Nocerino, but Ekdal out jumps the former Palermo man, and ends up flying back over the head of the midfielder. He looks hurt, but walks off after some physio attention.
Abbiati gets the ball from kick off and releases it to Abate down the right-hand side. After a brief sprint down the wing, Pisano comes across and clears the ball into touch for Cagliari. Abate's at it already.
Here we go then. Milan will get us underway, kicking from right-to-left in their traditional red and black.
Kick off is in less than five minutes, and the atmoshere here at the San Siro is already bubbling under nicely.
Don't forget all you Milan fans out there - and Cagliari ones too - hit me up @alexjmott on Twitter and give me your predictions and thoughts on tonight's game.
For Milan, Mesbah makes his first Serie A start after joining just last week from Leece, whilst Ibrahimovic and Nesta return after missing out on the starting XI in midweek against Lazio. For Cagliari, Nainggolan starts, despite his ongoing transfer talks with Juventus.
And Cagliari: (4-3-1-2) Agazzi; Pisano, Astori, Canini, Agostini; Nainggolan, Dessena, Ekdal; Cossu; Ibrabo, Pinilla.
The line-ups have just been handed to me. Milan: (4-3-1-2) Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Nesta, Mesbah; Seedorf, Van Bommel, Nocerino; Emanuelson; Ibrahimovic, Robinho.
I'll be honest with everyone here: Milan are going to win this. They're unbeaten in their previous 18 matches against Cagliari. They average 2.2 goals a game in that time. The last two meetings between the two have seen the Rossoneri score four goals. And just to top it off: Cagliari have won just one of their last six games away from home.
Evening all, and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE, play-by-play coverage of AC Milan vs Cagliari. I'm Alex Mott, and I'll be your commentator for tonight's game. As always, if you have any thoughts/predictions/musings/abuse, direct it all at me @alexjmott on Twitter. Kick off is at 19.45 GMT, by the way.
