Both teams will take positives from this game as they build towards the World Cup. Mexico are drawn in Group A with hosts Brazil, Cameroon and Croatia while Nigeria will face Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F. SAVED! Imoh Ezekiel runs down the right and finds space to shoot at the goal but Ochoa dives low and is equal to the task.
Jimenez forces a save from Ejide after teasing the Nigerian defence.
CLOSE! Jimenez's headers just goes wide of the upright and I dare say it would have beat Ejide if it had a few inches less.
Ejide saves a shot from outside the box as Obinna concedes a free kick soon after. The pressure is on the Nigerian back line now
Guardado wins a corner kick for El Tri but they make a meal of it. Emenike has gone into the book for dissent after being called dfor a foul on a Mexican defender.

Nigeria are losing the battle of the middle with Mikel who goes into the referee's book for a challenge.
Imoh Ezekiel enters the fray and makes his Nigeria debut. The Standard Liege man has come under speculation about his international future but all that seems settled now
Ejide makes a double save there. He's unafraid to make the challenge and he stops the Mexican forward after a cross into the box.

Ramon Azeez shoots wide from inside the box after good work from the left by Moses who beat his marker to send the sweet pass into the box.
That injury to Balogun has finally come to the fore as he is replaced by Azubuike Egwuekwe. The Dusseldorf man would be sad at not making a bigger imprpession during his Nigeria debut.
A double substitution for Mexico slows down the intensity of the game but El Tri win a free kick just outside the Nigerian goal

In his first real action of the game, Balogun is sent thumbling over the advertising boards but he jogs back onto the pitch despite a little pain there.
Andres Guardado heads wide from a Mexican free kick. The midfielder jumps above his markers but sends the ball over the bar.
SAVE! Ochoa once again goes low to save from Ahmed Musa who will be wondering what he has to do to break the Mexicans. Nigeria start strong just like the first half.
Mexico tantalize in the Nigerian defence but can't find a site on goal as Moses breaks away for the Eagles only for Mikel's pass to the striker go to waste in the Mexican box. The pace of the counter-attack was blistering.
A strong run down the right by Moses but Nigeria have to retreat having come under pressure from El Tri in midfield
Musa gets a cross and manages to beat his marker with a chip but sends the shot wide.
Straight into action, Ejide is called to make a save from a corner kick. The Nigerian goalkeeper stays on his feet to stop the Mexicans from going ahead early in the second half.

Nigeria win a late corner kick via Musa who was released by Mikel. But the resultant kick goes out for another corner kick as the Mexicans clear once again. The referee brings the encounter to a halt for half time.

We're into the first of two minutes added time now, Mexico see a shot go wide.
Ambrose lies down on the pitch after a tackle on him. Nigeria win a throw in on the right. A few options warming up on the sidelines for Nigeria with Leon Balogun looking to make his debut
Echiejile goas down after a challenge on him by a Mexican forward but the Monaco man gets up soon after. Nigeria try to launch another attack which ends up in Ochoa's firm grip from what seemed like a pass from Musa.
OFFSIDE! Chicharito is called for an offside after the Mexicans break in a three-on-three situation. Nigeria missed an opportunity on the other end as Emenike failed to connect with Uchebo's pass inside the box.
Mexico win two corners as they come close to breaking the deadlock but Enyeama stands up between them and the opeing goal in this encounter. The crowd is screaming for a goal.
CLOSE! Peralta wins a one on one against Oboabona in the air and shoots just wide of Enyeama's goal. That was a close one for the Nigerians who have seemed to lose the initiative as the encounter's progressed so far.
HEADER! Mexico have grown in confidence now and are spraying passes in the Nigerian third. They win a corner kick and almost score from a header which Enyeama stops.
Mexico win a free kick 25 yards out after Oboabona clatters into Montes but the wall stops the shot. Mexico still without a clear break on goal so far.
El Tri surge forward after treatment to Ochoa but the Nigerians win back possession as Moses attempts a shot which flies wide of the top corner.
OCHOA! The goalkeeper is injured during a routine save by an on-rushing Nigerian attacker. The Mexicans have been pounded so far, how much longer will they hold up?
DOUBLE WHAMMY! Nigeria almost went ahead there, Emenike's shot is stopped by Ochao and the Eagles win a free kick. Ochoa once again saves a shot from outside the box. Nigeria looking dangerous as Mexico are rescued twice by the last man.
MUSA! The CSKA man shoots wide from outside the box after profiting from a quick lay off. Never looked like troubling Ochoa in the Mexican goal
After a period that looked like Nigeria would break El Tri defences via debutant Michael Uchebo, Mexico get themselves back into this game stringing a few passes in front of the Nigerian defence. But the Eagles win back control via a throw in.
Nigeria win a a corner kick off a free kick sent into the box, Moses takes it but is cleared as Ambrose sends it back in before Mexico eventually clear their area.
KICK OFF! The game has gotten underway now and one can hear a boisterous cheer from the huge crowd.
Both teams are turned out in their new World Cup kits, Mexico in red on blue while Nigeria are in their away strip of white and green.
