Well, that's all from our LIVE coverage of events in Manchester this afternoon. Many thanks for joining us. See you again soon!
That result means Pellegrini's side are six points behind leaders Arsenal, while Swansea are now down in 13th, just five points clear of the drop zone.
FULL TIME at the Etihad Stadium and Man City have run out 3-0 winners over Swansea with an efficient, if unspectacular performance. A fine Negredo free kick and two great goals from Nasri mean City's incredible home scoring form goes on.
90' + 2'
Kolarov gets away from Tiendalli on the flank and squares to Dzeko on the edge of the box. The striker tries a first-time effort but Williams blocks it well.
90' + 1'
City are just stroking the ball around comfortably now. You get the feeling the Swansea players just want to get on the coach home.
The initial ball is cleared but City keep it before Toure plays the ball back to Kolarov, who weighs up his options before drilling a 35-yard shot high and wide as we go into two minutes of added time.
FERNANDINHO FIRES OVER!! Again there's another beautiful example of passing from City and Milner's away on the left. He pulls back towards Fernandinho and his fierce strike goes just over, although it looks like Tremmel got a touch as a corner is given.
DE GUZMAN COULD DO BETTER AGAIN!! The midfielder hasn't had a great day in front of goal, and spurns another chance as he rises to meet a cross from the left, but heads it straight into the ground and the ball bounces over the bar.
NASRI ALMOST GETS HIS HAT-TRICK!! It's given away and Dzeko breaks forward for City before playing the ball out to Nasri, who works on to his right foot before bending a 20-yard effort just the wrong side of the far post.
Vazquez might be a bit unlucky, here, as he tries to hold off Clichy on the by-line but ends up going down and the ball rolls out for a goal kick. Might have been a shove by the City full-back, though.
City have now scored 20 goals in their last four home games in all competitions. That's a stupid amount of goals, really.
Kolarov tries to nutmeg De Guzman in midfield but the Swansea man cuts out the ball well. He exchanges passes with Shelvey before trying to lay it off for Routledge, but the winger slips and City clear their lines.
Dyer cuts in from the left and tries to fire a right-footed effort at goal, but there's a sea of blue in his way and the shot is blocked.
So Aguero won't get a goal this afternoon, then, as Edin Dzeko replaces him with just over 10 minutes to go.
That really was a lovely move. Milner has been absolutely excellent since coming on, playing some beautiful passes.
Assist Pablo Zabaleta
Goal Samir Nasri
NASRI GETS HIS SECOND!! That's a superb team goal for City as Milner plays a perfect pass inside Davies, and Zabaleta races on to it before pulling back to the edge of the box for Nasri, who charges in and slots a perfect left-footed first-time finish into the corner. Wonderful goal.
Jesús Navas González
Time for another chance as Aleksandar Kolarov comes on for Navas, who has been a constant threat down the right-hand side today.
Milner shows superb control to bring down a cross from Nasri before laying off to Navas. The Spaniard shoots but it's blocked, then Milner gets exactly the same result with his effort. Swansea look like they're running out of steam.
AGUERO FIRES WIDE!! The striker really wants a goal today and City have a free kick which Nasri takes quickly, firing a superb ball over the top for Aguero, who brings it down before drilling a low shot across goal which goes wide of the far post.
Milner's seeing a lot of the ball on the left-hadn side and he picks it up again before being forced backwards and receiving a firm challenge by Tiendalli. Nothing is given, though, and play goes on.
Shelvey works hard to put Lescott under pressure and the defender is forced to go back to Pantilimon. The midfielder - as well as his partner Canas - has worked tirelessly today.
HOW DID HE MISS? You'd bet your house on Aguero to score here. Milner fires in a cross from the left and it comes to Navas on the far side. The winger flicks it back over his head and Fernandinho knocks it down before Aguero scoops his volley well over the bar. It was at a difficult height, but he'll be very disappointed with that.
Laudrup changes things again for the visitors, bringing on Nathan Dyer for Pozuelo. Just over 20 minutes left; can they get back in this?
ZABALETA GOES CLOSE!! A defensive clearance goes all wrong for Swansea and it's played into Aguero, who is challenged well by Flores but Zabaleta meets the loose ball, firing just over the bar with a vicious curling effort.
And this time it's the other way round! Davies gives away a free kick at the other end for fouling Demichelis.
Demichelis is penalised for a foul on Davies as the corner goes in so the visitors have a chance to alleviate some of the pressure. Not for long though, as Nasri is inches away from meeting a cross at the far post but it's just over his head.
De Guzman is penalised for a shove on Toure and City have a free kick on the right-hand side. Nasri swings the ball in and Shelvey is forced to clear it behind. The own goal was a danger there but he did well.
So, there's a change for either side as Wayne Routledge comes on to replace Hernandez for the visitors, before James Milner is introduced for Negredo.
HERNANDEZ BLASTS OVER!! That's a good chance for the Swans man, who receives the ball just inside the box and tries a first-time effort which flies way over the target.
Negredo nearly in!! Nasri floats a wonderful ball over the defence and Negredo times his run to perfection, but the ball is just too long and - despite an acrobatic lunge from the striker - he can't quite meet it in the box.
Just wide from Navas!! Nearly 3-0 as the winger gets beyond the defence and fires in low from a tight angle, but it goes into the side netting. Tremmel probably had it covered, though.
That was top-quality stuff. A disguised pass from Toure, and wonderful control by Nasri. The France international has been on stunning form of late.
Assist Yaya Touré
Goal Samir Nasri
NASRI DOUBLES THE LEAD!! The hosts had just turned the screw slightly, and the goal has come. Toure pushes forward with a good run before flicking a great pass through for Nasri, who controls it superbly before working it past Williams and guiding it low into the corner. Excellent goal.
CLOSE!! Demichelis gets to the near post and flicks the corner on before Negredo heads it over. City pressing hard for a second.
Ouch, that's nasty. The ball comes into the box and Aguero goes for it, but Tiendalli comes across and clears the ball, but also clatters the striker. He felt the full force of that but is back up and ready to carry on.
It's the hosts' turn to keep possession again, and Fernandinho plays forward to Aguero, who tries to break into the area but is confronted by Williams and the Swans captain clears.
AGUERO SO, SO CLOSE!! The diminutive striker brings down a lofted ball with a wonderful touch before skipping past Williams and Tremmel, but it just runs too far and he can't guide the ball into the net from a very acute angle. Unlucky for the striker, there, who showed some stunning skill.
De Guzman looks for Tiendalli on the right-hand side but Clichy intercepts brilliantly before showing some good skill to create himself some space and move the ball on.
Good effort from De Guzman! The midfielder almost redeems himself as he receives the ball from Hernandez and flicks it past Demichelis brilliantly. He's forced wide but gets a decent attempt on target, forcing Pantilimon to stand firm and keep hold of the ball.
Shelvey is clipped in midfield by Nasri and the visitors have the ball back. The former Liverpool man has been on superb form so far today.
Yellow Card Sergio Agüero
That's silly from Aguero. City pass it around beautifully before it comes out to Navas on the right, and the winger fires in a cross which Aguero - for some reason - meets with his hands behind Williams. Unsurprisingly the referee isn't impressed and the striker goes into the book.
It's a bright start from the visitors, who keep the ball well before Shelvey is released down the left-hand side. His cross evades Vazquez before the striker fouls Clichy on the other side of the box.
Swansea get the ball rolling again and the second half is underway at the Etihad.
Just a few minutes to go until the restart, then. Can Swansea continue to keep the ball and maybe find a way back, or will City's superb goalscoring record kill things off in the second half? This one's perfectly poised.
Elsewhere this afternoon, Southampton are 1-0 up at Chelsea thanks to Jay Rodriguez's goal after just 13 seconds. That beats Navas' goal against Tottenham last week!
I said before the game that Swansea's last 10 league goals have come in the second half. It's only 1-0; the visitors are well in this.
That's HALF TIME at the Etihad and Man City go into the break 1-0 up, but the hosts haven't had it all their way at all. Swansea really should be level after that awful miss from De Guzman, but Laudrup will be happy with how they've played so far.
WHAT. A. MISS!!! De Guzman will not ever want to see that again. He receives the ball in the middle and completely befuddles Demichelis with some good footwork, before inexplicably lifting the ball over the bar with the goal at his mercy. Terrible finish.
Good work from Tremmel, who plucks Zabaleta's cross out of the air with Aguero leaping in to meet it. The visitors have the ball again and will hope they can create at least one more chance before the break.
It's quite quiet inside the Etihad, and that could be down to Swansea's possession. They've arguably created more than the hosts.
Hernandez tries a spectacular pass over the top for Vazquez, but Lescott reads it well and plays it back to Pantilimon. He had a much easier pass to Pozuelo, who doesn't look too impressed.
Swansea have a two-on-one down the left flank but Zabaleta shows all his experience to time a challenge brilliantly and win the ball back for the hosts. Five minutes to go until the break and it's been a very even contest.
Shelvey is everywhere at the moment. He gets on the end of a lovely diagonal ball from Flores before playing a pass inside to De Guzman, who tries to bend a 30-yard effort into the top corner but it goes straight into the chest of Pantilimon.
De Guzman takes the corner short and gets the ball back straight away, but the midfielder hadn't retreated far enough and the flag goes up for offside. Sloppy.
Swansea immediately reply with another attack as Hernandez sets Davies away down the left with a beautiful pass, and the full-back hammers the ball towards the near post, forcing Pantilimon to palm it behind.
De Guzman's corner is cleared and eventually it's launched upfield for Negredo, who drives to the by-line before pulling back for Nasri, but the France international hesitates and Canas manages to steal the ball away before he can shoot.
This is good pressure from Swansea, and Pozuelo looks for Hernandez again with another flicked ball through, but Clichy comes across well to play it behind for a corner.
Great challenge by Canas!! There are half-hearted appeals for a spot kick at the other end but it's a superbly-timed tackle from the Swans midfielder to stop Aguero's charging run into the box.
Penalty? The visitors are deep inside City's half again and the ball is lifted over the top by Pozuelo. Hernandez goes to meet it on the penalty spot and goes down under pressure from Demichelis. There are arguments for some shirt pulling but the referee doesn't give it.
Flores takes a bit of a risk as two City players close him down and he squares to Tremmel, who has to hastily clear. I can't imagine the goalkeeper was too grateful for that pass.
OFF THE BAR!! Nasri takes the corner and Demichelis leaps highest before powering a header across goal and on to the crossbar. Desperately unlucky.
Swansea push into City's half again and De Guzman looks to link up with Vazquez, but the ball is cut out and City come forward through Nasri, who shows real strength to keep the ball, and Aguero is slid through before testing Tremmel with a low shot which he turns behind.
Opta have come up with another stat: That Negredo goal was City's fourth from a direct free kick this season; more than any other side in the Premier League.
That's not the best kick from Tremmel, who fires it straight into touch on halfway and City have the ball again. The possession just swinging back in the hosts' favour.
Good work from Shelvey, who tracks back to cover Swansea's left-hand side and cut out Negredo's pass for Zabaleta on the flank.
That's loose from Chico Flores, who gives it straight to Navas. Swansea look well-structured, though, and the hosts have to go back before launching another attack. They're the ones keeping it patiently, now.
VASQUEZ SHOULD DO BETTER!! Swansea produce a break of their own through Shelvey and the visitors have three versus three. He slides a pass through for Vasquez, but the striker drags his effort well wide of the goal. Disappointing.
Swansea have had 62 per cent of the ball so far. That's very impressive. The hosts look very dangerous on the break, though, and could easily double their lead at any moment.
Close for Swansea! Hernandez advances down the left and cuts on to his right before swinging in a delightful ball, and Shelvey is inches away from meeting it in the box. Almost a golden opportunity for an equaliser.
It looked like the hosts were going to completely boss things, but Laudrup's men have come back well. Shelvey and Canas are working hard in the middle as the visitors pass it around with their trademark zip.
De Guzman so nearly in! The midfielder plays a delightful one-two with Pozuelo, but the latter's return pass is read perfectly by Lescott, who steps in to steal the ball. Had to get that right, the former Everton man.
Swansea look like they're going to keep their style and commit plenty forward, and they almost pay the price as Navas is set away on the counter before his cross just evades Aguero. At the other end Shelvey tests Pantilimon again with another long-range effort but the goalkeeper gets low and turns it behind for a corner.
GREAT EFFORT FROM SHELVEY!! The midfielder almost levels it as he cuts in from the left and drives an effort at goal from 25 yards. It looks bound for the top corner but City's lofty goalkeeper palms behind with a slightly showy save.
Pozuelo is penalised for a tug in midfield and City have a free kick. It's spread wide to Nasri, who fires in a cross but Williams clears well.
The hosts have done well to take that early momentum away from Swansea, who had looked confident in possession. The hosts are pretty much in control now.
That's vital from Hernandez!! Zabaleta slides an excellent through ball for Navas to chase, but Hernandez cuts it out at full stretch to produce a superb interception. The Spain international would have been clean through.
There were warning signs from Negredo moments earlier, and Swansea have paid the price. A superb strike, though.
NEGREDO SCORES A BEAUTY!! That's a superb free kick from the striker, who steps up to bend the ball low into the far corner, giving Tremmel absolutely no chance. City lead early on again!
Danger here for Swansea as Navas plays into Negredo again, and the striker gets between man and ball before Canas brings him down. Chance to shoot from 20-odd yards here, right of centre...
NEGREDO TESTS TREMMEL!! Navas cuts in from the right and squares to Negredo, who collects the ball 25 yards out and fires a dangerous low effort which looks bound for the corner before Tremmel gets across well to parry away then gather.
Swansea are seeing plenty of the ball and City are finding it tricky to get out of their own half at the moment. Nasri picks it up near his own corner flag and is quickly closed down by two men, but he does well to win a throw.
Shelvey tries to send Vazquez away through the middle but Demichelis reads it well and cuts out the pass. The City man looked shaky in midweek so could do with a good performance today.
Swansea, resplendent in a cheeky purple and yellow number today, have settled down after that early scare and are trying to muster up some pressure of their own. Hernandez charges forward but his touch is loose and Zabaleta darts in to poach the ball back.
Aguero is almost in straight away! Negredo receives the ball in midfield and flicks a delightful pass over the defence, and his strike partner is on to it straight away, but it's a tame left-footed effort and Tremmel saves easily.
We're underway at the Etihad as Man City get the ball rolling for the first half.
The players march out of the tunnel into a chilly December afternoon in Manchester. There are hats and gloves aplenty in the stands today. Just a few minutes left until kick-off.
According to Opta, Man City are the first club to score 26 or more goals in their first six top-flight home games since Sunderland in 1935. That's not too shabby.
It's not been such a good season for the Welsh club after a superb run last term, but they've been better away than at home this season, winning three of their six trips, including a victory at Fulham last weekend.
If the visitors can keep things tight before the break, though, they'll take heart from the fact their last 10 league goals have come in the second half. That said, they've lost their last seven visits to City and haven't beaten them there since 1951...
City have scored an incredible 41 goals in 10 home games in all competitions this season, and have scored in each of their last 56 Premier League fixtures at the Etihad. With 7-0 and 6-0 victories for City against Norwich and Tottenham coming before this one, it could be a long afternoon for the Swans.
Laudrup has also rung in the changes after their 1-0 defeat to Valencia on Thursday. Only Gerhard Tremmel, Chico Flores, Jonjo Shelvey and Alejandro Pozuelo survive, with Wilfried Bony out for several weeks after picking up a hamstring injury during the Europa League clash.
So, Costel Pantilimon is back in the City side after Joe Hart played in midweek against Viktoria Plzen. There are five other changes from the 4-2 win as Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Yaya Toure and Alvaro Negredo all come in.
SWANSEA: Tremmel; Tiendalli, Chico Flores, Williams, Davies; Canas, de Guzman, Shelvey, Pozuelo, Hernandez; Vazquez. // Subs: Vorm, Taylor, Amat, Routledge, Lamah, Dyer, Donnelly.
MAN CITY: Pantilimon; Zabaleta, Lescott, Demichelis, Clichy; Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Navas, Nasri; Negredo, Aguero. // Subs: Hart, Richards, Kolarov, Javi Garcia, Milner, Rodwell, Dzeko.
The teams have been announced, so let's not mess about, shall we? Here are your line-ups for this afternoon, starting with Manuel Pellegrini's XI...
Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the Premier League encounter between Manchester City and Swansea. These sides had contrasting fortunes in Europe in midweek and, with the hosts in irresistable form at the Etihad Stadium, it could be a tough afternoon for Michael Laudrup's men.
