FULL TIME! All over at the Etihad and it finishes Manchester 4-0 Swansea City. It's all about one man tonight, though. Sergio Aguero only came on after an hour, but promptly scored twice and set up Silva for another. He walks off with the ball as well, maybe he thinks he's scored a hat-trick! Anyway that's all from me, but stay with Goal.com for our report, ratings and all the reaction.

GOAL! WHAT. A. GOAL! AGUERO SCORES A CRACKER TO MAKE IT 4-0! He's fully 30 yards out, takes aim and simply cracks an unstoppable shot past Vorm and low into the bottom corner. Brilliant stuff, what a debut!
Dzeko is fouled on the edge of the box and Manchester City have a late free-kick in very dangerous territory. Milner and Aguero stand over it, but it's the Englishman who takes it, low, through the wall and straight at Vorm.
A lovely move from Manchester City almost brings about a fourth. Aguero, Dzeko, Milner and Toure are all involved. The ball finally comes to Toure again in the box but he miskicks horribly and Swansea escape.
Into the last five minutes and Swansea enjoying some possession, for the first time really in this second half. A case of too little, too late no doubt, but they don't look too down despite the scoreline.
Wayne Routledge has a pop from outside the box. His shot takes a wicked deflection which forces Hart to rush out to prevent the corner. But after a spot of juggling, he manages it, much to the delight of the home fans.
Final changes for both teams: Dyer off and Lita on for Swansea. For Manchester City Milner is on, David Silva off.
Chance for Swansea? They win a free-kick just outside the Manchester City box. The ball is whipped into the far post, but the hosts manage to head clear.
FANTASTIC SAVE BY VORM! The ball is touched to Toure who absolutely hammers it, the ball goes under the wall, but doesn't beat Vorm who shows real strength to save it right on his line.
Oh dear, Manchester City have a free-kick inside the Swansea half after the goalkeeper is penalised for a back pass. The boys in sky blue are queuing up for this one...
As I was saying, a debut for Stefan Savic, he comes on for Adam Johnson for the last 15 minutes or so.
Manchester City look as though they are about to make another change. Savic is being handed some notes to read on the touchline, and should be with us shortly.
Assist Sergio Agüero
Goal David Silva
IT'S 3-0! AGUERO SETS UP SILVA FOR THE THIRD! What a cameo this is from the substitute. He tries to dink it past Vorm, takes it too far, the ball looks to be going out of play, but the Argentine doesn't give it up and simply flicks it back to Silva to fire into an empty net!
Assist Micah Richards
Goal Sergio Agüero
AGUERO SCORES ON HIS DEBUT! And he probably won't score an easier goal! Richards is the man to lay it on a plate, with a fine low cross to the Argentine who is lurking at the far post and taps home! What a start to his Manchester City career. He's been on the pitch less than 10 minutes!
A Swansea free-kick is fired into the box, headed back goalwards and somehow Graham manages to win a corner. Allen takes the kick, it's high, the ball is lofted back in hopefully but Hart rises highest to claim confidently.
Swansea opt to make a double change as they try to get back into this game. Britton and Dobbie sprint off, Allen and Routledge on.
Time to check back in with Greg Stobart at the Etihad Stadium: "The first 'Poznan' celebration of the season to celebrate Edin Dzeko's opener. The Bosnian has been impressive tonight and was presented with the easiest of chances to convert the rebound after Michel Vorm failed to hold on to Adam Johnson's effort. Sergio Aguero has now entered the pitch to an enormous roar from the home fans. He's got half-an-hour here to make a perfect first impression."
It's Aguero again! The Argentine pops up on the left side, finds himself at a tight angle but has the shot anyway. It's not going to beat Vorm but it's been a lively introduction from the striker.
Aguero almost scores with his first touch! Another fine run by Toure, he picks out the substitute who turns and shoots but again Vorm blocks! Toure tries to slot home on the follow up but he's offside.
Nigel De Jong
Things might just be about to go from bad to worse for Swansea.... Sergio Aguero is stripped and ready and the £38 million man is ready to make his debut; he replaces De Jong.
Assist Adam Johnson
Goal Edin Dzeko
GOAL! FINALLY MANCHESTER CITY LEAD! It's been coming for a while and Dzeko is the man to score it! Silva is the architect, winning the ball in his own half and bringing it forwards before finding Johnson. His shot is parried by the goalkeeper straight into Dzeko's path and the striker cannot miss!
A great tackle by Dyer stops Silva inside the Swansea area and suddenly the visitors can break. It's a quick counter and Dobbie ends up taking the shot which has Hart scrambling, but he makes the save.
Now Toure comes forward for Manchester City. He's loitering on the edge of the area, with the ball, waiting for support but none appears to be forthcoming. With a shrug, he goes it alone, but can't beat Vorm.
Toure slips Dzeko in between two defenders, and he's through on goal with just Vorm to beat! The crowd are on their feet, but wait...the flag is up, he's offside and Swansea can breathe a big sigh of relief.
Now Dyer tries to get Swansea moving. He skips down the right flank before gifting the ball straight to Lescott and allowing the hosts once again to come forwards.
Manchester City start to apply the pressure once again. Johnson steams past Tate down the right but his low cross into the box is blocked. However, it comes back to Silva who twists and turns and eventually the hosts win a corner, which comes to nothing.
Good work from Sinclair who is brushed off the ball by De Jong's arm right in front of the referee. Swansea play the free-kick out wide but quickly lose possession and the hosts have it back again.
Here we go again! Silva and Toure kick off for the hosts and we are back underway at the Etihad. No changes for either side at the break, but expect to see a certain Mr S. Aguero if the scoreline stays like this for much longer.
45' + 2'
HALF TIME! Well, well, well, decent opening 45 at Etihad Stadium. Swansea started well but Manchester City have come roaring back into this and will be amazed they are not ahead. They have rattled the bar twice, whilst Vorm has had a busy night. Can they finish the job in the second half? Join me after the break to find out.
45' + 1'
NOW BARRY HITS THE BAR! Maybe it's just not going to be Manchester City's night?! With seconds remaining Barry thunders a shot that looks to be flying into the back of the net, only to come flying back off the woodwork! That's twice now in the first 45 minutes the frame of the goal has saved the visitors!
GREAT SAVE VORM! How is it still 0-0? Clichy is the creator again, he finds Dzeko who does superbly to cut back and beat his man, but he can't beat the Swansea keeper who blocks his shot with his feet! As opposed to some other new goalkeepers in the Premier League (mentioning no names), he's looked impressive so far!
Another decent move from the boys in sky blue. Toure plays a one-two with Dzeko, picks up the return inside the area before swinging his leg at it, but it's too casual and Vorm saves without any real difficulty.
Silva yet again, causes chaos in the Swansea area. He picks out Dzeko who turns and shoots his effort lacks power, is far too central and Vorm is down quickly and confidently to claim.
Another corner for the hosts and another chance for Silva, but he can't keep his shot down and it flies over the bar. He's had some great chances so far tonight has the Spaniard, but still can't beat Vorm.
Yaya Toure goes on one of those runs of his. He carries the ball for what seems like miles, before crashing a shot into the side-netting.
Barry hooks a ball over the top for Dzeko but Vorm is alive to the danger and is out smartly to claim on the edge of the box. He ends up on the deck, the home fans think he's carried the ball out of the area, but that's just wishful thinking, the goalkeeper knew exactly what he was doing.
Clichy comes flying down the left again and crosses for Toure. However, the former Barca man makes a mess of the shot, gets his feet all tangled up and Swansea escape yet again.
Brendan Rodgers is shouting instructions from the touchline and certainly Swansea could do with some help. Another Manchester City attacks sees Gareth Barry inches away from a shot inside the box, it looks just a matter of time until the deadlock is broken, but Swansea still hanging on.
It's one-way traffic at the moment. Johnson slides a ball through to Dzeko. Williams is there first, but Dzeko does superbly to retrieve the ball and get the hosts back on the attack. It's looking ominous for Swansea, as Sergio Aguero goes for a quick warm-up to huge applause from the home fans.
SILVA HITS THE BAR! What a goal that would have been! Toure frees Johnson down the right, he wriggles intot he box, squares for the onrushing Spaniard who opens up his body and steers a left-footed shot crashing onto the woodwork!
Manchester City win another corner but this time Dzeko can only manage the tamest of tame headers which Vorm gently plucks out of the air. Still, the hosts are starting to boss this now.
Back to Greg Stobart at Etihad Stadium: "Expectation, eh? Just 25 minutes into the new season and the Manchester City supporters here at Etihad Stadium are already getting restless. Yaya Toure's careless pass a few moments ago was greeted with a huge groan around the stadium, only matched by Roberto Mancini's furious hand movements. The City boss is not happy with the way his side have started here but David Silva's rasping effort, saved by Michel Vorm, has now given the natives a little hope."
Now Dzeko wants a penalty! The striker turns and shoots in the box. It gets a deflection off the defender, the home fans scream for a spot kick, referee waves play on!
Roberto Mancini's men win their first corner of the match. Up come Lescott and Kompany from the back, it's taken short to Silva who plays a one-two before curling a shot goalwards which a diving Vorm parries clear!
Twenty minutes gone in Manchester and no goals, no real chances, but it's fascinating stuff so far. Swansea have been far from overawed, while Manchester City yet to really get going, you feel.
Another warning for the Swans. Dzeko sends Silva scampering through on goal. Fortunately for the visitors, he's overhit it and Vorm will get there first - the offside flag is also up and Silva runs back looking thoroughly cheesed off with the decision.
More threat from the hosts, are they slowly rousing themselves from a lethargic start? This time it's Micah Richards who finds himself in the box but he can't quite get on the end of Silva's cute ball in.
And then just as quickly, Clichy advances and fires in a cross which is just too high for Edin Dzeko who was in acres in the box. Warning for the Welshmen, if any were needed.
Swansea pinging the ball around in the Manchester City half and dominating possession at the moment. Yep, you read that right, Swansea on top currently.
Swansea win a throw in high upfield on the left. It's hurled towards Dobbie who runs off his man, has a look up, and proceeds to thunder a shot high into the night sky.
Ten minutes have flown by in Manchester, so let's check in with Greg Stobart again: "Great noise coming from the Swansea end (now full) away to my right. I couldn't tell you what they're singing - perhaps it's in Welsh - but they have every reason to be encouraged by the start their side has made here. The visitors are playing some very tidy passing football and don't looked fazed in the slightest."
The visitors continue to attack, confidence visibly growing. Again the threat comes down the right, after a mistake by Clichy. The ball is crossed in towards Graham, but again it's Kompany who gets it clear.
Dyer and Rangel combine down the right and do well to win a corner. It's taken short, played back to Caulker who swings the ball into the box but Hart comes out to claim.
Steven Caulker plays a nice ball infield to Agustien. He tries to slide a ball into Graham in the box but Kompany cuts it out. The visitors look as though they are keen to maintain the attractive style of play which gained them promotion last season, which is good to see.
Swansea City are starting to settle down after that early scare. They knock the ball around nicely, allowing every one to get an early touch, while manager Brendan Rodgers urges them on from the sidelines.
Let's quickly get back to Greg Stobart for some early thoughts: "Huge roar from the home fans as Sergio Aguero's name was read out before kick-off. The £35 million summer signing is yet to kick a ball in a City shirt but he is expected to feature at some point tonight. Some of my colleagues in the press box think Roberto Mancini has been a little cautious in his team selection. I would tend to agree, although City will be expected to run out comfortable winners here."
And Manchester City go straight for the jugular! David Silva wanders into the box, squares for Yaya Toure who absolutely smashes a shot goalwards but it's blocked by Williams!
Time for some half time thought from our man Greg Stobart at the game: "The public announcer declared this as 'the first step of Manchester City's title challenge' prior to kick-off. It hasn't gone entirely to plan for Roberto Mancini's side but there is no doubt that they were the better team in that opening 45 minutes, hitting the crossbar twice and forcing Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorn into two excellent saves. City's dominance in the last 20 minutes of the half came after Swansea had made a super start to the game before seemingly being overwhelmed by City's aggression. The visitors will be grateful for the half-time whistle but they've already shown more than enough to suggest they will not roll over easily this season."
Here we go folks! Swansea City, all in white, kick off and we are underway at Etihad Stadium!
"The Manchester City players have been warming up wearing 'I heart Manchester' t-shirts. Mario Balotelli, of course, had to go one step further and scribble 'City' underneath in black marker. Etihad Stadium is more or less full now with five minutes until kick-off - and the atmosphere beginning to ramp up as 2,500 Swansea fans open up their lungs ahead of their club's first Premier League fixture. They are determined to enjoy the experience and what a place to start.”
The players are in the tunnel, so kick off is just minutes away now. Goal.com's Greg Stobart is at Ethihad Stadium for us tonight, so let's catch up with him in Manchester...
As for Swansea City, well they hand debuts to new boys Danny Graham, Michel Vorm and Steven Caulker. Striker Graham is the club’s record signing, at a cost of £3.5 million, a mere snip compared to the £38 million Manchester City shelled out for Aguero.
So some quick team news: there’s a Manchester City debut for Gael Clichy tonight, as he comes in at left back. Mario Balotelli has to make do with a place on the bench with Adam Johnson something of a surprise starter. New star signing Sergio Aguero is on the bench, while compatriot Carlos Tevez is not involved at all.
Swansea City: Vorm; Rangel, Caulker, Williams, Tate; Britton, Dobbie, Agustien; Dyer, Graham, Sinclair. Subs: Moreira, Orlandi, Routledge, Lita, Moore, Allen, Gower.
Manchester City: Hart; Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Toure Yaya, De Jong, Barry; Silva, Dzeko, Johnson. Subs: Taylor, Zabaleta, Milner, Kolarov, Savic, Aguero, Balotelli.
Good evening and welcome to Goal.com as we bring you live coverage of tonight’s clash between Manchester City and Swansea City. The visitors make history tonight, becoming the first Welsh side ever to play in the Premier League. However, they arrive at the Etihad Stadium as massive underdogs - can they stun the Manchester billionaires? Find out here as all the action is on its way!
