Barcelona win another corner, Alves takes it and the referee blows his whistle for the end of the game! Fernandez and Bojan traded goals in the first half, before Afellay and Bartra secured the three points with strikes after the break! Goal.com's team apologises for the technical difficulties we experienced during the live coverage, and hope you would join us for our live coverage of Real Madrid - Almeria! Bye, for now!
Barcelona win yet another corner on the left and Alves will take it .... ARNAU! Good save by the veteran, who blocks a header by Sergi Roberto at the near post.
Camacho is on the ground after a tough clash with Mascherano, but seems fit to continue.
Francesc Arnau Grabalosa
Arnau replaces Caballero for his farewell minutes for Malaga! Standing ovation from the fans at the Rosaleda!
Yellow CardDaniel Alves
3-1! GOAL! BARTRA SCORES! Barcelona won a corner on the right and and Alves sent a cross near the penalty spot for Bartra and the defender powered a thunderous header into the top right corner.
Portillo! The substitute found himself on the end of a cleared ball after Maresca easily blew past Alves on the wing, but saw his first time volley fly wide.
Barcelona are growing more confident by the minute ... Will there be more goals?
Krkic! Great play by the striker! Bojan dribbled easily past Weligton and Eliseu, and sent pass from the byline for Thiago, but Kris was there to intercept the ball before the midfielder could poke it in.
GOAL! AFELLAY WITH THE GOAL! Stunning strike! The attacker took control of the ball outside of the box, got past three players, and sent a low shot for the right corner, which left Caballero with no chance!
Alves commits a very bad foul on Eliseu! The Portuguese superbly neutralised the Brazilian with a slick flick, but the Alves brought him down with his arms.
Abidal leaves the pitch for Pedro. Guardiola now has sent in three of his first-choice players.
CABALLERO! Brilliant stop by the goalkeeper! Afellay! The ex-PSV man was released outside the box and let it fly, but Caballero denied him with a wonderful save in a one-on-one!
Duda! The winger superbly managed to bypass Adriano, but is stopped by Bartra on the right side of the box. Great dribbling from the Portuguese here.
Duda takes a corner on the right. Alves manages to block it out for another corner .... Pinto almost makes a howler with a mistimed rush off the line.
Abidal was shown the yelllow card for a bad foul Fernandez a couple of minutes ago. Lucky to escape a booking here.
Jeffren ! The attackers was picked out by Afellay, but his shot from the right side of the box flew wide!
The second half begins...
45' + 2'
Half-time at Estadio La Rosaleda! Malaga and Barcelona played out an very interesting first half which saw two goal and some very good chances! Fernandez opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark, but a couple of minutes before the break Bojan Krkic won and converted a controversial penalty. Join us after the break to find out what is in store for us in the second half!
45' + 1'
Looking at the replays, one can safely say that Malaga have a right to feel hard done by. There was minimal contact between Bojan and Eliseu, and in some leagues, like the Bundesliga or English Premier League, a referee would not even entertain the thought of a penalty in the first place.
Yellow CardJesús Gámez
GOAL! Bojan scores in the lower left corner to draw the game level! Malaga 1-1 Barcelona!
Yellow CardÉric Abidal
Penalty GoalBojan Krkic
PENALTY! Dubious decision by the referee as Eliseu concedes a penalty for an alleged foul on Bojan in the box.
JUANMI! Glorious opportunity! The striker found himself on a great ball by Enzo Maresca, but his first time shot from the left side of the box was saved by Jose Manuel Pinto in goal for Barcelona.
Veteran Enzo Maresca is on the ground after a rather tough tackle by Thiago in the centre of the pitch. Fortunately, he seems to be able to continue.
SERGI ROBERTO! The midfielder found himself in a very good position on the left side the box, and let it fly, but his finish was rather poor and landed in the stands.
Barcelona's makeshift defence seems to lack any fluency as players often struggle to synchronise their actions.
WELIGTON! NEARLY TWO! The defender was picked out by Duda in the centre of the box, but saw his header blocked. Great period of domination for Malaga!
GOAL! SEBA FERNANDEZ! MALAGA TAKE THE LEAD! Horrible mistake by Bartra as he allowed a pass from Enzo Maresca from near the byline reach the attacker, who sent a powerful shot from inside the box, which deflected off the defender and into the net.
Barcelona win yet another free-kick outside the box after Apono brought down Sergi Roberto, and received a yellow card in the process. Jeffren is about to take that set-piece.
Thiago's free-kick gets deflected out for a corner on the left. The youngster took that set-piece as well, but Weligton easily dealt with the danger.
Deputy captain Bojan is fouled by Gamez 22 yards from goal. Thiago Alcantara is set to take the free-kick.
Fontas with a confident interception as he cuts Juanmi's path and dribbles past the striker near the corner flag with his back against the Malaga player. Good defending from the Barcelona youth product here.
JEFFREN! WONDERFUL FREE-KICK! The young attacker took a free-kick from 25 yards out, a little on the right, and unleashed a thunderous drive, which Caballero could only parry over the bar. The following corner on the right amounted to nothing.
Jeffren is taken down by ex-Atletico Madrid man Camacho with a lunging challenge for which some referees might show the defensive midfielder a yellow card.
Ex-Juventus and Sevilla man Enzo Maresca fouls Fontas on the touchline on the left. Bad timing from the Italian in this situation.
Malaga have one of the better, and probably the most underrated winger pairing in La Liga. Eliseu and Duda are two wide men known for their technical prowess, and explosiveness, and both are active Portugal internationals.
ELISEU! The Portuguese sends a crashing drive from 20 yards out wide of the left post! Barcelona certainly allowed him a lot of space and time to shoot.
Now Malaga have a free-kick on the left. Portuguese international Duda a takes it .... FERNANDEZ! The Uruguayan nearly contacts with the ball after some hesitant defending by Barta, but Adriano is there to correct the mistake.
Bojan wins a corner on the left, takes it, but his delivery is headed away by Kris.
Malaga have been more than equal to Barcelona so far, and have forced some very bad errors from the visitors' defence by means of persistent pressing.
THIAGO! The young midfielder made his way past two players before unleashing a powerful shot from inside the penalty area semi-circle, but Caballero was equal to his finish, and claimed the ball, eventually.
Some inspiring play by Malaga who superbly pressure Barcelona in their own half. One does not write that often, but the Catalanas are yet to go past the half-way line.
DUDA! The ex-Sevilla winger let it fly from 30 yards out after a misplaced pass by Roberto, Pinto spilt the shot, but managed to smother the ball before Sebastian Fernandez could pounce.
The game begins ...
