That's it from me! Thanks for joining me, Harry Slavin, and be sure to tune back in for the big kick off next weekend as the Premier League gets back underway. Until then, it's bye for now!
FULL TIME: LIVERPOOL 4-0 DORTMUND. A real statement of intent from Liverpool as they brush aside fellow Champions League outfit BVB. Two goals in each half seal an impressive display in which Sterling and Coutinho really caught the eye. Ronald Koeman will be worried with Southampton next up to visit Anfield next weekend.
We are into one minute of added time at the end of this one.
Lambert gets his first whiff of a chance, but in truth I'm clutching at straws. Jose Enrique proves his fitness with a lung-bursting run to the oppositions bye-line but his cross clears the head of the former Southampton man, before sailing out of play on the other side.
The ball sits up perfectly for Bandowski and he makes a sweet connection with his long range effort, only a brave block from Lovren stops it troubling Dortmund.
Manquillo has put in a stellar display on his Liverpool debut and is awarded an ovation from the Anfield crowd. He'll be replaced by Kelly for the final few minutes.
We've played 80 minutes of a pre-season friendly and Steven Gerrard is still busting a gut to ensure a cleansheet. The captain is at full-stretch in the midfield to cut out a throughball, an impeccable display from the now-ex-England international.
Immobile is in behind but has no one in support and is forced to blast over from a near impossible angle. Dortmund have now used all their subs as well, Sarr and Knystock joining the action.
The action has really died down due to these changes, as Brendan Rodgers looks to his bench again. Joe Allen is on for Henderson as the starters get a rest ahead of next weekend.
Mohammad Mustafa Amini
The changes are coming thick and fast now. Jojic is off and Mustafa Amini is on for BVB. The youngster signed three years ago from Central Coast Mariners in Australia. He's already made an impression with his red afro, but he'll look to make a statement with his football too in these closing stages.
A magical moment for boyhood Liverpool fan Rickie Lambert as he replaces Sturridge for the final 25 minuted and gets his first taste of Anfield in a Reds jersey.
A little heart-in-mouth moment for Lovren as he almost diverts Immobile's long range effort into his own net as he tries to head it away - the diversion catching Mignolet off guard as it clears his crossbar, just.
Jordan Henderson flies down the right and tries to find Sturridge or Sterling the centre, but Ginter does well to cut out the low cross. Meanwhile Rickie Lambert is readying himself for an Anfield debut.
A second change for Liverpool. Jordan Ibe is on for Coutinho. The Brazilian gets a standing ovation from both sets of supporters. That sees the end of a fantastic pre-season for the former Inter man.
Aubameyang is off after an abject display. He made an instant impact last season when he appeared first in a yellow and black jersey. he needs to rediscover that form following the loss of Lewandowski.
Another dangerous ball rolls across the Dortmund box but Sturridge is in an offside position and Henderson can't quite catch up with the ball before Langerak collects it.
There's been just the one change from Liverpool, who really are treating this game as a trial run for next weekend. Ronald Koeman, who is in the ground watching today, will be hoping they aren't quite in as ruthless a mood when Southampton come to visit.
The movement from the hosts this afternoon has been beautiful to watch and they continue to cause Dortmund problems, Sturridge down the right this time forcing a corner.
A poor challenge from Lucas on Grosskreutz gives BVB a free kick on the right-hand side of the box. The ball is delivered by Hofmann but cleared once more by Liverpool. The visitors have also thrown on Ji for the final 25 minutes.
A couple of question marks over that fourth goal their actually. Coutinho looks offside on the replays and the ball looks to have gone out before Sturridge can keep it in. Harsh on BVB.
Assist Daniel Sturridge
Goal Jordan Henderson
GOOOAALLLL!!!! HENDERSON MAKES IT FOUR!!! Well this is a bit of statement, isn't it? The chance looks gone when Coutinho's cross-come-shot eludes Sturridge, but the forward does well to keep the ball in and he finds Henderson who taps home a fourth.
All the impetus Dortmund had going into the break has been lost somewhere down the tunnel at half time. They've made three changes but it hasn't improved their chances at all - Liverpool have dominated this second half.
He's taken a bit of a sore one their Piszczek as it looks like he's blocked that shot with his face! He seems a bit all over the place at the moment and BVB aren't taking any chances, Grosskreutz coming on in his place.
Dortmund lose the ball in midfield and Liverpool carve them open with some beautiful football. Sturridge, Coutinho and Henderson work the ball wide to the right where Manquillo's shot is blocked and when the ball comes back the other way, Johnson sees his shot blocked by Piszczek.
Dortmund win a corner on the far side and Hofmann is across to take it. Again Liverpool stand firm though, captain Gerrard leading by example and heading the ball clear at the front post.
Lucas takes down Mkhitaryan and is penalised. It looks as if he got a bit of the ball but the referee gives the foul. Schmelzer takes the free kick but it's overhit and sails out for a goal kick.
Henderson is the latest to try his luck against Ginter but the defender stands firm to shepherd the the ball out for a goal kick. Meanwhile Sterling and Coutinho are at it again, linking up down the left before the Brazilians effort is kept out by Langerak.
Another mistake from Ginter gifts possession back to the hosts once more. Thankfully for the new signing, it's a little closer to the halfway line this time and BVB can get numbers back to snuff out the chance.
Assist Raheem Sterling
GOOOAAAALLL!!!! A THIRD FOR LIVERPOOL!!! An awful mistake from Ginter is punished by the Reds. The defender plays an awful ball across his own box which Sterling picks up. he drives down the right and picks out Coutinho who takes a neat first touch before slipping the ball into the far corner.
One change for Liverpool as Lucas is on for Can. The three changes for Dortmjnd sees Bender, Hofmann and Immobile on for them.
We are back underway and Liverpool almost add a third straight from kick off! Sterling motors down the right and it takes an important touch from Ginter to deprive Sturridge of the easiest of finishes.
The sides are back out on Merseyside. There are going to be three changes for Dortmund and one for Liverpool. We'll get you confirmation of those shortly.
STAT ATTACK: This is the first time Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have met since they came together in the 2001-02 Champions League. The teams played out a stalemate in Germany before goals from Vladimir Smicer and Steve Wright gave the Reds victory at Anfield.
Ahead of their first Champions League campaign in four years ,Rodgers will be pleased with the way his side have handled themselves against European opposition in pre-season so far. They reached the final of the International Champions Cup in the US and are proving themselves more than a match for BVB today.
HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 2-0 DORTMUND. A happy return to Anfield for the Reds so far as they show no signs of a post-Luis Suarez depression. Sturridge is looking sharp and took his goal brilliantly and Lovren's performance at both ends of the pitch will give fans cause for quiet optimism.
WHAT A HIT!!! It is the captain and Langerak has to get across to get a strong fist to the ball to push it behind for a corner. It was dipping and the Australian has done well there.
Sokratis takes down Sturridge outside the box. It's a free kick in a central position and it's definitely Steven Gerrard range. Henderson is also lurking...
A half chance for the hosts to break, this time down the right. Coutinho has Sturridge and Sterling in-field in a three-on-three situation, but he can't pick out either and Sokratis can clear.
Mkhitaryan demonstrates that issue perfectly here. He has few options in front of him and opts for a shot from 30-yards out. It takes a nick off Lovren for a corner but it was never testing Mignolet.
Five minutes to go until the break. There may be a few concerns for Klopp that, with the amount of possession, they haven't really created a thing. There is of course still Marco Reus to come back from injury, but there doesn't seem to be many other option at this stage.
First sight on goal for Ramos, but he gets it all wrong. The ball sits up kindly for him as he gets a lucky ricochet trying to feed in Aubameyang. He goes to hit it on the half volley but smashes the ball high into the Kop. Poor finish.
Dortmund are beginning to grab a hold of this one. They've been dominating possession since going 2-0 behind. As it stands though, they've yet to create any real chances. Liverpool comfortable.
Raheem Sterling sportingly puts the ball out of play after a clash with Piszczek. You could see he was having second thoughts but conscious that this is a friendly, he punts the ball away for a throw in rather than attack the gaping space at right-back.
Well for now, Liverpoool are looking at little more assured at the back. Gerrard is back helping out this time and he prevents Jojic from bearing down on goal, getting his body between man and ball.
A great chance for Liverpool as Sterling evades the defence and bursts down the left. He has bodies to aim for in the middle but can't pick out any of them, lofting his cross just a touch too high for Sturridge and Henderson in the middle.
BVB have managed to silence Anfield for the moment. They've bossed possession for the last couple of minutes and create a chance through their patient build up, Aubameyang picking out Mkhitaryan at the back post, but he can't get a clean shot away after chesting the ball down.
The corner is cleared and Liverpool almost turn it into a counter-attack as Sturridge shows good strength to spin the last defender. He can't quite keep up with the ball as it goes out for a throw in but that is where Liverpool are so dangerous.
Dortmund have yet to really hit their stride here. They fashion another half chance as Schmelzer picks out Jojic on the edge of the box. The midfielder has time to turn and shoot but his effort is deflected wide for a corner.
Johnson looks to link up with Henderson on the left-hand side and manages to play a neat one-two with his England colleague but can't quite find the pass into Sturridge as he bursts towards the box.
Coutinho and Sterling are showing a real understanding out on the pitch just now. Sterling finds the Brazilian with a clever cut-back before the no.10 lashes the ball wide. Moments later Coutinho is returning the favour with some clever foot-work and a perfectly weighted crossfield pas for the Sterling, whose shot is deflected behind.
Mkhitaryan was actually looking for a penalty there after Gerrard's challenge. Replays reveal that the ball does hit the Liverpool captain's hand, but it would have been an extremely harsh decision to point to the spot there.
A few signs of life in the Dortmund side after they were steamrollered in the opening 15 minutes. Mkhitaryan looks to nip into the area and test Mignolet but some last ditch defending from Gerrard prevents the Armenian from getting his shot away.
The hosts have started like a house on fire and are in search of a third here. Gerrard tries to release Sturridge in behind but the England forward had started his run prematurely and is flagged offside.
He's been brought in to tighten up Liverpool's leaking defence, but Brendan Rodgers won't mind if Lovren can add to Liverpool's tally in the other box too. He attacked the ball like a centre-forward there, great header.
Assist Steven Gerrard
Goal Dejan Lovren
GOOOAAALLL!!! LOVREN FOR LIVERPOOL!!! He likes this ground, doesn't he? Dejan Lovren lands himself a debut goal by getting on the end of Steven Gerrard corner and sending a thumping header beyond Langerak. Great start for the hosts.
Dortmund go in search of an immediate response here. A long diagonal ball to the back post finds Piszczek but he can't get enough purchase on the ball.
Goal Daniel Sturridge
GOOOAAALLL!!! STURRIDGE FOR LIVERPOOL!!! Nobody is mourning over Suarez at Anfield, how can they when they have this man? The forward latches onto a throughball and shows immense composure to slide the ball beyond Langerak from an acute angle. Lovely finish.
Liverpool have been heavily tipped to complete the signing of Alberto Moreno this coming week and the need for competition at full-back is clear from the starting line up this afternoon. Glen Johnson has had to start at left-back this afternoon for the Reds. He's no stranger to the position, but it's not his strongest.
The match has started at some pace here! Both sides are really going for it. Kirch is teed up by Jojic just outside the Liverpool box but Mignolet is behind the effort. At the other end Coutinho slips in Sterling but Langerak makes a good stop to keep the teenager out.
Half a chance for Sterling as Ginter gets caught under a cross. The ball falls at the feet of the pint-sized winger but he can't get his shot away. Early warning for the Germans.
The ball comes in form Armenian Mkhitaryan and a yellow jersey rises highest to get their head on it, but it flashes wide of Mignolet's goal.
Dortmund get us underway then! Cries of 'Liverpool' come from the Kop. Will they be in for another spectacular season? Dortmund win an early free kick on the right hand side and have a chance to swing one into the area.
'You'll Never Walk Alone' rings around Anfield and the Dortmund fans even join in! Extraordinary scenes and a nice touch from the travelling German support.
So Anfield bows for Can and Lovren. Rickie Lambert has a little while longer to wear the red of Liverpool in front of the Kop. The teams are out and we are about to get underway.
DORTMUND XI (4-2-3-1): Langerak; Piszczek, Sokratis, Ginter, Schmelzer; Kehl, Kirch; Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Jojic; RamosSUBS: Bonmann, Subotic, Grosskreutz, Sarr, Knystock, Bandowski, Bender, Amini, Ji, Hofmann, Immobile
LIVERPOOL XI ( 4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Johnson; Gerrard, Henderson; Sterling, Coutinho, Can; Sturridge.SUBS: Jones, Kelly, Toure, Sakho, Coates, Enrique, Lucas, Allen, Suso, Ibe, Lambert.
We are only ten minutes away from kick off, so let's take a look at the team news. We'll start with the hosts.
Like their opponents, Borussia Dortmund are also smarting from the loss of their main goal threat. Jurgen Klopp lost Robert Lewandowski to bitter rivals Bayern Munich on free transfer at the beginning of the window much to the frustration of BVB fans who have watched a couple of their top stars switch allegiances in the last few years.
The Reds lost their star striker to Barcelone during the transfer window and make their first return to Anfield since the Uruguayan left. But Rodgers has been able to use some of the £70 million recieved for the striker, with top targets such as Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic all coming in.
I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be here to take you through all of the action on Merseyside - where Reds fans can get a first look at their new look side. There are some new faces in the starting line up today, as well as some notable absences - including the irreplaceable Luis Suarez.
The countdown to the new Premier League season has begun. In just six days the new campaign will be in full swing, with Manchester United kicking things off against Swansea. For now though there is the matter of the final pre-season friendlies to wrap up. We're focussing on Anfield this morning, where Liverpool welcome Borussia Dortmund.
