The game is fairly scrappy at the moment, the pitch is making it difficult for both teams to keep hold of the ball.
The Lithuania players are showing signs of fatigue and this may play into the hands of Spain.

Spanish based player Stankevicius latches on to a poor clearance from Albiol to rifle the ball into the bottom left hand corner from 30 yards!!

The game is very end to end at the moment and it has been a very high tempo start to the second half by both sides.
Fernanda Llorente gives the Lithuania defence some problems by receiving the ball inside the box and evading tackles to shoot at goal but Karcemarskas easily saves.
The Spain midfielder again has another attempt from far out but this time his attempt goes well over the crossbar.
Xabi Alonso almost gives Spain the perfect start to the second half with a spectacular attempt from range but the ball goes just over the bar and on to the roof of the net.
The second half has kicked off and Lithuania will feel that they still have a say in this game. Spain will look to further their lead but the surface will have an important part to play in the second half.

Cesnauskis gives Casillas his first action of the match with a shot from long range but it it easily caught by the Spaniard.
Lithuania with a corner kick opportunity to equalise but the Spanish defence manages to clear.
Great pass from Cazorla over the top of the Lithuania defence to send Llorente through on Karcemarskas but the goalkeeper remains big to make the save.
Lithuania are only seeing a small portion of possession and as a result are rushing their attacking play.
Spain must try to look and get their second goal before half time as legs are sure to tire in the second half due to the heavy surface.
Llorente shows his prowess on the ground also by receiving the ball just outside the Lithuania box to side-step a tackle and rifle a shot at goal but it goes quite far wide of the right hand post.
Due to the surface, Spain are trying to lift the ball off the ground for Fernando Llorente to hold up and the Athletic Bilbao man has does his job well so far.
Spain are sending quite a lot men forward and as a result Lithuania look dangerous on the counter attack.
The home side are resorting to long balls at the moment but Pique and Albiol look comfortable when dealing with them.
Good hold up play from Llorente to set up Javi Martinez for the shot inside the box but unfortunately for Spain his effort was timid.
Spain are starting to dictate the tempo of the match again, after their goal they can now relax a little bit more and try and keep possession.
Lithuania counter attack at pace but a stray pass gives Raul Albiol an opportunity to get a foot in and clear the danger for a throw in.

Lithuania are starting to get a little more into the game and are enjoying a sustained period of possession in the Spain half.
Good play from Fernando Llorente down the ring flank for Spain, showing good strength to evade tackles, but he was judged to have fouled the defender and Lithuania can catch a breather.
Santiago Cazorla tests the Lithuania keeper with a low shot but Karcemaskas manages to clear the danger.
The unpredictable surface has made attacking play difficult so far in the game.
As expected, Spain are dominating the early possession.
The pitch is not playing well at all and the Spanish players may have trouble spraying passes about the park if it continues to cut up.
