The Lazio shot-stopper made a decent save to thwart Bojan but was fortunate to see the referee blow his whistle for a foul after De Rossi followed in on the parry.
The No. 20 partnered Dias in the centre of defence and also had some shaky moments in the opening stages. However, he grew in stature as the game progressed and made a particularly important intervention to nick the ball away from Osvaldo.

The Brazilian scored the equaliser with a well-taken penalty, which he helped win by sending Brocchi through on goal. He was a constant menace, stinging Stekelenburg's palms while picking holes in the Roma defence with intelligent passes.
A terrrier in the Lazio midfield, particularly in the first 20 minutes of the second half as he won his side's penalty while tearing around the field winning tackles and scrapping for possession. Seemed to physically intimidate Gago.
The Frenchman hit the post with a stunning volley, but he was poor besides that one effort. One particularly woeful shot which he skewed wide summed up his evening.
The Germany international popped up with a dramatic, last-gasp winner with a well-taken finish. Headed against the crossbar while also wasting a host of other chances. But he is always there to miss them and made a match-winning contribution in the end.
The Dutchman made his first start since suffering concussion after a clash with Inter's Lucio in mid-September. He made one excellent save to deny Klose, but had a few dodgy moments and could do little about either goal.
Put in one excellent low cross which Bojan narrowly missed and Osvaldo should have converted, but was pegged back in his own half as Lazio marauded forward in the second half.

Real Madrid loanee was out-fought and out-thought in the midfield. Was bullied by Brocchi and offered little to his side, particularly in the face of relentless Lazio pressure.
D. De Rossi
The long-serving midfielder was captain for the evening in Totti's absence. Made several important interceptions in front of his defence, but played Klose onside for the chance he blazed wide in the 71st minute.
The newly capped Italy international netted his fourth goal of the season with a well-taken finish in the fifth minute. Put in a teasing low cross which Bojan should have done better with, but was left isolated as his side were forced to defend.
Former Barcelona man made a lively opening, showing impressive movement. However, he was another player who faded badly, and frustrated with his refusal to gamble on a couple of low crosses.

The Bosnian was a threat down the Lazio left after replacing Radu at half-time.
The Brazilian came on for the last 15 minutes, and it was he who put Klose in on goal for the winner with a deft pass.
Had 30 minutes on the field, in which time he attempted to provide the craft needed to make the breakthrough. Fired an 80th minute effort over the crossbar.

The Argentine was brought on to shore things up after Kjaer's dismissal, and, like Heinze, made some important clearances and interceptions, but he was guilty of a crucial lapse at Klose's winner.
Took Rosi's right-back berth just before half-time, and while he was positive in an attacking sense on occasions, he was exposed defensively, especially by Hernanes, who drifted left to get at him. Was booked for a foul on the Brazilian.
A 74th minute replacement for the ineffectual Gago. Fired a poor free kick high over the crossbar in the 76th minute.
