Had his goal peppered with shots in a short period in the first half but managed to come out relatively unscathed. Was superb in the second period though, as he denied Ronaldo twice from shots inside the box, and once from the penalty spot.
Gave Marcelo problems with his overlapping runs and did fairly well to usher Ronaldo away from goal at times.
Impressively kept up pace with Ronaldo on a few occasions and made up plenty of ground to retreat on Madrid counterattacks. Could have been a lot better in possession though.
Struggled to deal with the movement with the Madrid attackers as he allowed them to much room to turn and affect the play.
Left Arbeloa looking red-faced in the very first minute when he slipped the ball through the legs of the Madrid man before bursting into the box. Never really hit the same heights thereafter.
Will feel unlucky that he didn't get on the scoresheet after seeing a goal disallowed for a foul of Casillas, despite the decision proving to be correct. Showed plenty of energy in the midfield area but gave away a penalty against Ronaldo with a rash challenge.
Showed a touch of class in possession in a team that didn't retain the ball particularly well. Had composure on the ball and was always looking to thread passes down the wings.
Had Marcelo on toast at times in the first period and burst into the box with a few penetrative runs from the right-hand side. Always looked a danger and proved to be a real outlet for the hosts down the right-hand side.
Very lucky not to get sent off after he dangerously went in with the studs up to the ankle of Xabi Alonso. Did show some impressive skill though, as he ghosted into the Madrid box on a few occasions with some impressive stepovers.
Hold up play was decent also as he came deep to receive the ball and introduce the other attackers into the match. Only negative was his finishing, which never looked assured.
Was fouled by Delaney in a disallowed Copenhagen goal but still should have been more positive in his commandment of his area for the chance. Improved as the match went on though as he looked more assured in his punching. Never really had any shot stopping to deal with.
Was nutmegged by Bengtsson but didn't let it affect him as he regained solidity to nullify the threat of the Copenhagen left back. Attacking ambition was also good, as he hit the byeline to get some good balls into the box.
Would have been frustrated in the first half as he was left for dead on a few occasions by the pacey Gislason. Did much better defensively as the game went on, but wasn't as ambitious in attack as usual.
Kept the Copenhagen attackers relatively at bay and was dominant aerially as he headed everything out of the box. Distribution from the back was excellent, and got himself an assist with a brave header at the back post.
Positional play was all over the place at times as he chased the balls out to the wings to try to reclaim the ball. Was much better in and around the penalty area though as he made a couple of very important blocks from shots from the edge of the box.
Prospered in the middle of the park in his 200th Madrid match despite the awful playing surface. Screened the Real Madrid defence with solidity and effortlessly displayed his passing range from his deep lying position in the middle of the park. Also tested the keeper with a few rasping strikes.
Broke the deadlock in the first period with a moment of magic as his terrific turn and whipped strike into the top corner made it 1-0. Not only opened the scoring but was terrific as an advanced playmaker as he continually sprayed balls out to the wings.
Didn't pay too much attention to the poor surface and still looked relatively comfortable with his classy touches. Linked the play comfortably from the midfield to attack and made some terrifically skillful turns on the ball. Assisted Modric's opener.
Had some nice touches in midfield and in the penalty area but really looked like posing much of a goalscoring threat. Spent too much of his match in deeper positions and didn't pick the best passes to make at times.
One of his worst games for Los Blancos in a while. From the get-go it looked as if things weren't going to go his way. Dribbles didn't come off, and he also missed three sitters with two headers and a close range strike.
Had a relatively quiet first half in which he had a few speculative efforts at goal, but won the game for Madrid with a well-taken finish at the back post to make it 2-0. Should have got two, but missed a penalty with a lazy strike from the spot.
