Couldn't do much to prevent Floro Flores from scoring, but did well when tested by Udinese's forwards.
The Brazilian scored a fine goal and did well at the back. However, he may feel he could have done more to block Floro Flores' header.
Another disappointing performance from him. He had a nightmare as he tried to hold Sanchez back. The Chilean really exposed him and Benitez was forced to take him off.
Tough and reliable as always. He was not as lucky as Lucio when coming forward as his header from a corner kick could have gone in.
Solid perfomance from the Argentinean full-back. He came forward regularly and managed to control Sanchez in the second half.
Good display from him. Mariga is lacking experience but the talent is clearly there.
The Dutch was a bit quiet today, although he did create a couple of interesting openings for his teammates.
Fine display from the Argentinean midfilder. He led the Nerazzurri midfield and was useful both defending and attacking.
Had a good start but then practically disappeared forcing Rafa to take him off. This boy has potential, but he needs time...
By far Inter's liveliest player on the day. He did lack accuracy and should have perhaps scored one or two more. Still he handed Inter all three points and was unlucky to hit the upright in the second half.
Claimed he was eager to score against Udinese, but let down Inter this time. A couple of bad touches and a good chance missed in front of Handanovic.
Good overall perfomance from the Slovenian 'keeper. He made one mistake which led to Lucio's opener, but was sensational to stop Milito. He also saved a penalty from Eto'o and was just unlucky on the rebound.
It was a meaniful game for him, but Pasqule definitely didn't have the match of his life. Missed a couple of crosses and was replaced in the second half.
He did what he had to do today. Controlled Inter's forwards when he could although he was clearly not as fast as them. Decent display.
It was an important test for him and Benatia responded well. Rarely caught out of position, he did well and will definitely improve in the future.
Udinese's backline looked tidy today and this is because Zapata, once again, proved to be a reliable defender.
Good performance from him. Pinzi never stopped running and was going up and down the flank. He doesn't have much quality, but plenty of stamina.
Considering his worth, we expected more from him. He wasn't bad but did little to justify the hype around him.
He was close to Inter this summer and clearly wanted to prove a point. His first half was decent, but in the second confirmed all the good things which have been said about him.
Unstoppable on the flank, Alexis gave Chivu headaches all game. The Chilean youngster created plenty of openings, constantly skipping past Inter players and looked really inspired. He just need to become more effective in front of goal. Fast and furious!
A. Floro Flores
His header put Udinese straight back into the game. It was a fine display by him. Nothing exceptional, but a good goal after all. Against Lucio and Samuel, it was never going to be easy.
A. Di Natale
We expected a lot more from him. Di Natale did everthing "normal" this time and wasn't particularly inspired. He was unfairly booked for diving.
- 12 L. Castellazzi
- 23 M. Materazzi
Stepped in to replace Chivu, but it didn't look like he was in great form. Nearly gave away a penalty for a foul on Di Natale.
- 39 D. Santon
- 29 Philippe Coutinho
- 11 S. Muntari
Didn't have much time to impress, but did what Rafa asked him to do.
- 6 E. Belardi
This will be a day Angella will hardly forget. This boy made his Serie A debut and gave away a penalty with the most naive of handballs. Inter must thank him.
- 19 E. Agyemang-Badu
- 23 A. Abdi
Came in for the second half and did alright. Kept his position but struggle a bit when defending.
- 21 M. Vydra
Came in for Floro Flores but didn't see much of the ball.
