Thank you for joining me on what has been a major upset at the Giuseppe Meazza, with Siena emerging as 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Simone Vergassola and Francesco Valiani. Goodbye.
As for Inter, their home form continues to be their achilles heel as they once again fail to rack up back-to-back victories. They look to revive their Scudetto bid when they travel to Chievo on Wednesday.
With that result Siena still stay rooted at the foot of the table but are now on -1 point and only three points from safety. Serse Cosmi will be delighted with the resilience and spirit shown by his side and he will look to build on that performance when Siena entertain Bologna at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday.
Inter may look back and rue that chance for Sneijder midway through the first half but Stramaccioni will be concerned with the lack of clear-cut opportunities his side created today.
FULL TIME! A shock defeat for Inter at home to Siena. In truth, the home side were disappointing but credit is due to Serse Cosmi's side.

Goal Francesco Valiani
GOOOOOAALL! Siena have their first victory of the season as they break at pace down the right wing with Sestu. The 28-year-old looks up and spots the run of Francesco Valiani who heads his inch-perfect cross into the net, sparking jubiliation for Cosmi on the touchline.
Sneijder finds space on the edge of the box and finesses an effort towards the top right-hand corner but Pegolo, somewhat unconvincingly, foils his effort. Four minutes of stoppage time to be played.
SUBSTITUTION: Final change for Siena as Alessio Sestu replaces the impressive Rosina.
Excellent save by Pegolo. Coutinho burst forward from midfield and his dipping right-footed drive is pushed around the post by the keeper. The young midfielder vents his frustration with some pushing and shoving.
Cassano shapes to curl a shot into the far corner but sends his effort over the crossbar. It is the final involvement for the striker who is replaced by 19-year-old Croatian Marko Livaja.
Handanovic to the rescue! The Slovenian pulls off a brilliant save to deny Calaio's goalbound header. The 30-year-old forward has put in an excellent shift for the Biaconeri this afternoon.
Coutinho has the chance to make himself an instant hero when Milito's cross finds him at the back post but he cannot make a clean connection on the half-volley and scuffs his effort into the side netting.
SUBSTITUTION: Stramaccioni responds with a change of his own with Phillipe Coutinho replacing Walter Gargano. Can Inter salvage a point from this match?
SUBSTITUTION: Cosmi looks to shore up his midfield, taking off Zé Eduardo for Francesco Valiani.
All hands to the pump for Siena and they defend excellently to clear a series of Inter crosses.
The Inter fans are shellshocked that their side have fallen behind. It looks as though that home win continues to elude Stramaccioni's side.
Assist Emanuele Calaiò
Goal Simone Vergassola
GOOOOAALL!! And would you believe that it is Siena who have taken the lead! Rosina breaks at pace down the right wing and plays a pass into Vergassola. The midfielder plays a lovely one-two with Calaio and fires his shot across Handanovic and into the bottom corner. 19 minutes left for Inter to respond!
Siena attack down the right with Rodriguez but his deep cross is headed clear.
Yuto Nagatamo has not got forward as much as Stramaccioni would have liked today but this time he does find himself on the edge of the Siena box and he cuts onto his left foot and skews a shot wide of Pegolo's left-hand post.
Fantastic interception by Neto! Inter break with pace and Sneijder plays in Juan Jesus down the left but Neto reads the game expertly and intercepts the Brazilian's cutback.
Yellow Card Mariano de Almeida Angelo
Yellow Card Juan Jesus
YELLOW CARD: The cards are coming thick and fast now as Angelo receives a caution for hauling down Cassano.
YELLOW CARD: Juan Jesus is the first Inter player to be booked after he chops down Zé Eduardo.
YELLOW CARD: Massa brandishes a yellow card to Pegolo for time-wasting.
Alvarez tries his luck from distance once again and strikes the ball better this time but his left-footed drive flashes past the post.
Yellow Card Gianluca Pegolo
Cassano breaks away down the left and he crosses the ball across the 18-yard box for Alvarez but the playmaker leans back and sends his effort high over the crossbar.
Siena break at pace with Rosina down the right but his pullback cannot find a black and white shirt and a promising attack breaks down.
Ricardo Alvarez looks to make an instant impression and Siena are caught sleeping from a corner. Alvarez finds space to whip in a teasing cross for his international compatriot Milito but he can only head narrowly past the post.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Both sides make their first change of the match. Siena bring on Ribair Rodríguez for Gaetano D'Agostino whilst Ricardo Alvarez replaces Fredy Guarín for the hosts.
Siena launch a rare attack on the Inter goal. Alessandro Rosina cuts inside Juan Jesus before firing a fizzing drive just over the bar. Warning for the hosts.
Siena have ten men behind the ball as they look to weather this Inter storm early in the second half.
Inter have started this second half brightly and they nearly take the lead when Cassano's shot takes a deflection but Pegolo reacts well to get a strong hand to the effort.
Fredy Guarín tries his luck from distance but his shot is blocked by Massimo Paci.
Inter get the game back underway for the second half and it does not appear that either side has made any changes at the break.
The Nerazzurri have looked dangerous in parts but they have struggled to get Milito involved. If they can provide more service to the Argentine, their fortunes could change in the second period.
Inter fans will be happy to know that AC Milan are 1-0 down to Udinese at the break courtesy of Mathias Ranégie's 40th minute strike.
HALF TIME: It's all square at the half-way point and Siena will be the happier of the two sides. They settled into the game excellently during the opening 25 minutes but have been on the back foot for the closing stages and have Pegolo to thank for the fact that they are still on level terms.
Inter go close once again! Ranocchia is somehow back on his feet and meets Juan's cross with a powerful header which is expertly foiled by Pegolo. The 31-year-old shotstopper has been in fine form during this opening period.
The whistles ring out around the Giuseepe Meazza as the Biaconeri endeavour to hold onto possession until the break.
Siena have struggled to test Handanovic in the last 15 minutes and they need to stay focused if they want to enter the half-time break level. Serse Cosmi looks anxious on the touchline.
Ranocchia is down on the turf once again and the referee beckons the medics to bring on the stretcher. It looks like it could be game over for the 24-year-old.
This time Sneijder does opt to shoot for goal and his dipping freekick is parried by Pegolo, but Neto is quickly on hand to avert the danger.
You can sense that the Inter support are becomingly increasingly frustrated here. It was a golden opportunity for Sneijer to open the scoring and they really should be one goal in front.
Great chance for Inter to open the scoring. Antonio Cassano plays an incise pass behind the Siena defence and Sneijder is sent clean through. However, with just the goalkeeper to beat, the Dutch midfielder inexplicably tries to square the ball to the onrushing Milito but overhits his pass. A great chance goes begging for the hosts.
Fantastic strike this is by Wesley Sneijer, striking across the ball and forcing Pegolo into a superb fingertip save.
Now it's Inter's turn to attack and Cassano feeds in Guarín but the Colombian midfielder dallies on the ball too long and is dispossessed. The ball ricochets to Sneijder but his shot is blocked.
Andrea Ranocchia is a lucky boy! Siena swing a corner over from the right and the ball strikes the legs of the Italian defender from barely a yard out and somehow loops onto the top of the net. Both sides are getting closer to opening the scoring.
That's the best we have seen from Inter so far. Guarín floats a ball into the Siena penalty area which is met by a wonderful flicked header by Esteban Cambiasso and forces a equally fantastic save from Pegolo. Much better from the hosts.
Wesley Sneijer lines up a freekick on the edge of the box but it strikes a Siena defender on its way through and deflects out for a corner.
Emanuele Calaio continues to be a thorn in Inter's side and he tricks his way into the penalty area and sends a brilliant cross into the box which is expertly parried to safety by Handanovic.
Siena continuing to have the better of this opening period and Ranocchia needs to stay alert to head away a dangerous cross from the right.
Yellow Card Emanuele Calaiò
Wesley Sneijder tests the gloves of Pegolo when his curling shot from the edge of the box is comfortably saved by the goalkeeper.
YELLOW CARD: Emanuele Calaio receives a caution after he throws himself at a left-wing cross but diverts the ball just wide of the post courtesy of a handball.
Inter cannot get the ball up to Diego Milito at the moment and it is Siena who look the most dangerous, with the pace of their wingers causing trouble down the wings.
Andrea Ranocchia seems to have picked up a knock and Andrea Strammacioni looks concerned on the touchline.
Yellow Card Alessandro Rosina
YELLOW CARD: Alessandro Rosina is the first name in the referee's notebook after a mistimed challenge on Uruguayan international Alvaro Pereira.
Inter go within inches of taking the lead when Antonio Cassano tricks his way past a defender and pulls the ball back from the byline but Guarín arrives at the back post just too late and the ball runs out for a throw-in.
Serse Cosmi will be delighted with how his side have settled into this game early on and they are having a fair share of the possession.
Emanuele Calaio gets himself into an excellent position on the right-hand side of the penalty area but his cross goes wastefully into the side netting with Zé Eduardo waiting to pounce in the middle.
Fredy Guarín has the game's first shot on goal but it is not one he will want to remember as he balloons it high over the bar from the edge of the box.
Siena win the first corner of the game after good work by Zé Eduardo and Calaio. However, the cross is safely cleared by the Inter backline.
Inter have started the game brightly and attack down the left-hand side. Antonio Cassano's clever backheel sends Alvaro Pereira clear down the left flank but his cross is well cleared.
We are underway at the Giuseppe Meazza!
Both teams emerge from the tunnel and there will be a minute's silence to respect former CONI President Arrigo Gattai, who passed away earlier this week.
Inter are somewhat a bogey team for the Biaconeri, having failed to register a victory in their last ten clashes. Inter were the victors in their most recent meeting, a 2-1 home victory back in April when Diego Milito scored twice despite Gaetano D'Agostino's opener.
Siena (3-4-1-2) Pegolo; Neto, Paci, Felipe; Angelo, D'Agostino, Vergassola, Del Grosso; Rosina; Zé Eduardo, Calaiò.
SIENA TEAM NEWS: Siena coach Serse Cosmi makes two changes. Matteo Rubin is replaced by Felipe in defence whilst Zé Eduardo is given a starting berth up front in place of Ribair Rodriguez after an impressive substitute cameo performance in Siena's 2-2 draw against Udinese last Sunday.
Inter (4-3-2-1) Handanovic; Nagatomo, Ranocchia, Juan, Pereira; Guarìn, Gargano, Cambiasso; Sneijder, Cassano; Milito.
INTER TEAM NEWS: Andrea Stramaccioni makes five changes from the side which snatched a late draw against Rubin Kazan in midweek, recalling Juan, Alvaro Pereira, Fredy Guarín, Wesley Sneijder and Diego Milito to the starting XI.
Inter are strong favourites for this one, having bounced back to winning ways against Torino last weekend, whilst Siena are searching for their first win of the season as they seek to make up for their six point deduction.
