Thank you for joining me for this all Italian affair in Philadephia. I have been Hayden Gribble and I hope that you all have a good night.
FULL TIME - INTER 2-0 ROMA: The Nerazzurri go through to the International Champions Cup final after goals from Vidic Nagatomo are enough to beat a Roma side who lacked a cutting edge. Things may have been different had Dastro not wasted a golden effort for the Rudi Garcia's men early in the second half but the team from Milan go thorugh to play either Real Madrid or Manchester United in the final.
90' + 2'
The Giallorossi's hopes of going through to the final are all but over as Inter are happy to retain position out wide in the dying embers of this game.
There will be FOUR minutes of added on time.
The grand old man of Rome is at it again as Totti bends a lovely curling effort with the outside of his right boot into the box but the pass is just too close to the keeper. Class is permanent, as they say!
CHANCE! Brilliant skill from Totti as he dummies the ball before sliding a crisp ball through to Sanabria who can only thrash his shot straight at the keeper.
There hasn't been much in the way of Italian flair in this game but it has definitely opened up since the glut of changes from both sides. Meanwhile Roma are happy just to keep hold of the ball for the moment as any goal now could be a mere consolation.
GOOD SAVE! It hasn't taken Guarin long to introduce himself to the action as he slaloms his way past a couple of challenges and drives a low effort straight down the keeper's throat. Either side of Skorupski there and we could of had our third goal of the game!
There will be yet more substitutions from both sides. Surely it is all about much needed match practice now as the Roma side - bar Skorupski in between the sticks - is now completely different from the one that started this game in Philadelphia.
With 15 minutes to go, a goal from Roma now would make the closing stages very interesting indeed. For that to happen though they need to get Totti on the ball more to help unlock the tight Nerazzuri back line.
The Giallorossi back four was spread thin there and Cole was caught out of position, making up for the poor positioning of his neighbouring centre-back. Communication breakdown in that department led to Nagatomo standing in acres of space in the box and doubling Inter's lead.
GOAL! What a brilliant finish from Nagatomo! A cross from the left squeezes past the Roma defence and lands at the feet of the Japan International, who pings it in off the underside of the bar and into the net with Skorupski well and truly beaten!
The pace of the game is certainly starting to pick up and resemble more of a competitive encounter. It's almost like a Serie A game out there at the moment as the tackles are becoming that little bit harder and the defences begin to stretch.
There is yet another glut of subsititutes, this time for Inter as Handanovic comes off for Carrizo and Guarin also enters the stage.
OVER THE BAR! Vidic is at it again, rising highest to an out swinging Dodo corner from the left but he is unable to direct his header towards goal and puts it behind for a goal kick.
There will be changes for Roma as Totti, Cole and Ucan come on with Destro amongst the handful of players coming off. He is shaking his head, clearly still sickened at his miss early on in the half that could have drawn the Giallorossi level.
SO CLOSE! Nainggolan has looked impressive in the final third this afternoon and picks up a loose ball roughly 25 yards out. He swipes at it first time but his low shot fizzes past Handanovic's post and out of play.
The tempo of the game is starting to settle again after the excitement of that Destro miss. As we near the final half hour, will the Giallorossi have another chance as good as that one to get back in this game?
OUCH! Destro is right in the thick of it as he goes in high on Jonathan's standing leg and is given a yellow card for his troubles. Who said anything about this being a friendly?
That howler from the Roma striker is a real hide behind the corner flag moment. I bet he is hoping that no scouts are in the stadium to see that horrendous miss!
DESTRO-NO! Oh what a miss from the in-demand striker. Florenzi curls a sublime ball into the six-yard-box where the main man is waiting unmarked but he somehow puts it wide!
There were no changes for either side at the interval so it's as you were here in Philadelphia. Can Roma draw level?
Both teams are back out and we are underway in the second half, with Inter now kicking from left to right.
HALF TIME - INTER 1-0 ROMA: Nemanja Vidic's header right at the break seperates the two sides in what has been a rather tepid friendly so far. Dodo has looked lively for the Nerazzurri whilst Destro has been the standout individual for Rudi Garcia's charges, who will need to find more of a cutting edge in the second half if they are to draw level. The second half is coming right up!
45' + 2'
GOAL! Vidic opens the scoring with a trademark glancing header past Skorupski after shaking his marker off to meet a great free-kick from the left-hand-side from Dodo! How many times did he do that for Man Utd? First blood, Inter!
45' + 1'
There will be THREE minutes of added on time.
Roma are content to just keep hold of possession and let the enemy come to them at the moment. There is very little attacking flair from them so far...they are crying out for Totti to come on and pick the lock to this stubborn Inter defence.
SPILLED! Handanovic had butter on his gloves there as he failed to clasp hold of a low Nainggolan strike. The Slovenian's blushes are spared as he pounces on the loose ball at the second attempt.
In the last few minutes Rudi Garcia's men have pushed higher up the pitch, pressing Inter's defence hard but the white shirts are standing firm at the moment and have been troubled very little in this opening half.
Roma counter down the right but Jesus is there snapping at Destro's heels. Eventually, he clips the striker's foot and brings him crashing to the ground. It was a poor tackle and a free-kick is awarded to the Giallorossi.
Inter win a dangerous free-kick on the left-hand-side again and it is in perfect territory for Kuzmanovic to swing a dangerous ball into a crowded box. His cross is a terrific one, but the jumping Vidic just fails to make contact.
We are edging towards the half hour mark here in Philadelphia and the scores are still level. Both defences are tight and there is little space for either side to create a decent chance at the moment.
WIDE! Inter are enjoying much of the possession after that little break and Dodo seizes his chance to go for glory and lashes a first-time shot at Skorupski's goal, but the Brazilian's effort drifts wide and into the stands.
Right, the teams put the water bottles away and get on with the match. The conditions are nothing compared to what some teams had to play in at the World Cup, so was that drinks break really necessary?
Something tells me that this will definitely not be the tempo that these teams will play when they face each other during the season. The speed of this match is pedestrian at the moment as we go past the halfway point of the first half and both teams go off for a drinks break.
CHANCE! Brilliant build-up play down the left again from the Giallorossi as Nainggolan finds Destro in the middle with a cut-back but he is charged down by Andreolli who sees the ball out for Roma's first corner of the game.
Dodo is upended on the left-hand-side and wins a free-kick for the Nerazzurri. His delivery from the dead ball - however- is weak and barely gets off the ground and is dealt with ease by Astori.
Roma have regained their composure as de Rossi brings the play forward and looks to play Destro in with a chipped through ball but his pass is too heavy and it goes out for a goal-kick.
GOOD SAVE! Inter sniff blood with Castan substituted as Kuzmanovic slips past his marker and lashes a strong right-footed shot at goal but Skorupski is equal to it and tips it over the bar!
Oh no. It looks like Castan is really struggling here after going down in his own half. The centre back was not injured in a collision but off the ball and has limped out of the game already. That could be a big blow for Rudi Garcia's men with the season looming large.
The midfield is currently overloaded, stifling any chance that Roma have to pierce through so far. There have still been no chances from either side yet.
Good early spell for the Nerazzurri as Dodo plays a lovely ball over the top that finds Icardi, but the striker had strayed into an offside position.
It is quite a cagey start as Roma try to build possession down the left-hand-flank. Inter, in their changed white strip, are keeping a high line at the back, with Vidic marshalling his new team mates well.
Sadly, there is not much of a crowd that greets the two sides as they emerge onto the pitch ready for kick-off. Roma get us underway, kicking from left to right!
Both sides are waiting in the tunnel to get this game underway. It will be important for both to make a good impression here with the season so close to it's big kick-off.
Meanwhile for the Giallorossi their new signing, former England International Ashley Cole starts on the bench as Daniele de Rossi leads the side out in the absence of Francesco Totti. Mattia Destro starts despite strong rumours regarding his future away from the Serie A side.
Walter Mazzarri names a strong side for the Nerazzurri as new signing and former Man Utd captain Nemanja Vidić slots in at the back alongside a back-three of Juan Jesus and Marco Andreolli. Argentine Mauro Icardi leads the line up front.
Roma (4-3-3): Skorupski; Florenzi, Astori, Castan, Emanuelson; Pjanic, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Iturbe, Destro, Ljajic.
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Andreolli, Vidic, Juan Jesus; Nagatomo, Jonathan, M'Vila, Kuzmanovic, Dodò; Botta, Icardi.
