Could do nothing to keep out any of the Roma efforts, which were struck with brilliant pace and direction. He was let down by his defence, but made a few key saves to keep the score down. One from Gervinho after the break was brilliant.
Beaten far too easily when faced up by an opponent, the Portuguese showed a distinct lack of mobility on the deck. To his credit, he did position himself well and made some important interceptions.
The Uruguayan left far too much space behind him which Gervinho exploited to good effect. He failed to offer anything better at the other end of the pitch and was thus withdrawn at half-time.
Offered pace in the wide areas but rarely used it to good effect. He was far too hesitant in possession and therefore rarely got a good delivery into the area, which his team were in desperate need of.
His poor touch helped Roma open the scoring during the first half and he was unable to pick up Totti throughout. Failed to organise the backline well enough as they looked vulnerable to every break.
Made a brilliant challenge on Gervinho inside the area during the first half, but failed to judge all of his tackles as well. He was far too clumsy at points and gave away too many needless free kicks.
Failed to really influence the game from just behind Palacio in the first half but upped his game following the restart. Caused havoc on the right and was the key dangerman for the hosts, however he could not produce anything clear-cut.
Tested De Sanctis with a decent shot during the early exchanges but continued to play in a very selfish manner. He regularly looked to shoot rather than pass and was withdrawn in the second half.
Pulled wide on the right at times and had a heated battle with Balzaretti. He stuck the post with a blistering shot in the first half but failed to supply enough dynamism in midfield throughout the match.
Played a few good passes from deep that enabled Inter to attack from different angles, but he did not push on and offer support to the forwards often enough. He was beaten too easily in the build up to the penalty.
The Argentine dropped far too deep during the first half and left Inter without a focal point in attack. His movement was not bright enough and he was moved into wider areas during the latter stages of the game.
M. De Sanctis
The keeper made a couple of impressive saves from Taider and Alvarez in the first half, ensuring that Roma kept their sixth clean sheet from seven league games this season. He did not look like being beaten.
The Brazilian picked up a cheap booking for a deliberate handball in the first half, but he showed plenty of composure to play out the rest of the game and help his side keep yet another clean sheet.
At times allowed Inter a bit too much space on his flank and so they regularly focused their attacks down that side. He did not support the forwards and made some poorly-judged tackles which ultimately led to his dismissal.
A solid performance from the centre-back as he and Castan restricted space in the channels and repelled the majority of Inter's attacks. They protected their keeper well and refused the opposition time on the ball.
Shepherded the opposition well on the right, making it difficult for them to find space in which to cross from. Inter had very little joy up against him and he was solid for the full 90 minutes.
The Dutchman was full of energy in the centre of the park and was very industrious. He worked extremely hard and nowhere was this more evident than in his assist for Florenzi's goal, as he carried the ball the length of the pitch.
An extremely intelligent performance as he got on the scoresheet with a stunning finish moments before half-time. He continued to threaten when moving inside and linked up with his team-mates impressively.
D. De Rossi
Patrolled the middle of the park brilliantly, closing everything that came through and forcing Inter to play out wide. When that happened, he dropped into the defence to help them cope with the bodies inside the box.
Made a few loose passes in the early stages as he struggled to cope with the pace of the game. He eventually settled but was withdrawn after the break through injury.
The winger proved extremely confident in the wide areas. He showed great composure to supply an assist for Totti's opener, and then won the penalty for the second by beating Cambiasso and Pereira.
A world-class performance from the Roma captain. After a masterful opener, he doubled the Giallorossi's lead from the spot. His impeccable control was then initiated the counterattack from which Florenzi scored.
Replaced Taider in the 57th minute and passed the ball well in midfield, directing the Nerazzurri from deep.
Brought on for Pereira at half-time and showed a few bright touches. However, he failed to test De Sanctis throughout his time on the pitch.
Came on for Guarin with 20 minutes remaining but failed to influence proceedings.
