Inter remain without a number of first-team players as they welcome the Delfini to San Siro. Dejan Stankovic remains on the sidelines, while Joel Obi and Yuto Nagatomo are also fighting their way back to fitness.

On the suspension front, defensive duo Juan Jesus and Andrea Ranocchia will both miss the contest, the former due to his red card in the 3-0 humbling at the hands of Udinese last weekend.

Wesley Sneijder's future remains up in the air, with Galatasaray seemingly on the brink of ending the midfielder's exile, as they look to take him to Turkey in the current transfer window.

For the visitors, who are currently four points clear of the drop zone, Uros Cosic and Simone Romagnoli will both sit out the match, while Eugenio Togni is suspended.

  • Inter have only managed one victory in their last four matches, a 2-0 Coppa Italia triumph over Verona before Christmas.
  • Pescara, by comparison, are in a decent run of form, collecting victories in three of their last four league outings, including a 2-0 victory over Fiorentina last weekend.
  • In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Inter collected a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Sneijder, Diego Milito and Philippe Coutinho.
  • Milito is the Nerazzurri's top goalscorer this season with eight goals. In comparison, Pescara's leading marksmen are Vladimir Weiss and Mervan Celik, both on three goals apiece.

The former Roma, AC Milan and Sampdoria star has been a useful addition for the Nerazzurri, but his goal return has quite been what he and his club would have hoped. A strong end to the season will be hugely beneficial for Inter's bid to regain Champions League football next season.

V. Weiss

The former Manchester City man is the main creative spark for the Delfini, and his side will need a big performance from him if they are to leave Milan with another positive result following last weekend's heroics in Florence.

Editor's Prediction

Inter's recent form has been far from stellar, while Pescara pulled off one of their results of the season to defeat Fiorentina last time out, but the Nerazzurri desperately need a victory to remain in contention at the top, and they should - just - be able to achieve it.
