• Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milano
Referee: E. Morganti
• Attendance: 60000
Referee Morganti blows his whistle after five minues of injury time, and Inter now go second in Serie A, after Napoli's defeat. The game was a fine spectacle and Leonardo will be mightily relieved to see his troops pick up three points. Stay here at Goal.com for more comprehensive coverage, and much more! Arrivederci people.
90' + 2'
Kozak almost connects with Rocchi's pull-back in the Inter box, but he doesn't make enough contact with the ball.
An almost inch perfect lob through ball from Ledesma almost finds Rocchi in the box, but it was just too strong for the ex-Empoli hitman. Meanwhile, Eto'o dispossesses a Lazio defender and almost capitalises.
Two great headed chances for either side. Firstly, Mariga powers a header from a corner for Inter, over the bar, whilst Rocchi's diving header goes just wide.
Another defensive slip almost gifts Eto'o again bizarrely, but Dias manages to salvage the situation by ensuring the ball went out for a corner.
CLOSE FROM MAICON! The Brazilian full-back is found in acres of space on his own on the right hand side of the box, and his curling effort is brilliantly tipped over by Muslera.
A backward pass from Cambiasso goes all the way back to Castellazzi in the Inter goal. The first we've seen all game!
A midfield battle is erupting, as Lazio aim to convert their possession to goalscoring chances with Rocchi being the latest throw of the dice by Reja.
Sneijder goes off with a round of applause, and is replaced by Joel Obi for the last 10 minutes.
Zarate has been fantastic all afternoon, and his scissor kick crashes the bar after being set up expertly by Brocchi.
Nagatomo has had an impressive second-half, and he gets Inter a corner out of relatively nothing after a lung bursting run down the left. He sends a rallying cry to his team, much to the fans delight.
Eto'o makes another foray at the Lazio defence, but his shot at goal is easily claimed by Muslera. Not much in terms of goalmouth chances for a while now, and Lazio's lively movement has begun to wind down now since Mauri's departure.
Inter make their feelings known against Lazio sub Cristian Brocchi. The ex-Milan man played for the Nerazzurri between 2000 and 2001, before crossing the divide.
Lazio continue to attack and force Inter on the backfoot, as Kozak's introduction emphasises their admirable approach, despite playing with just 10 men. Floccari goes the other way and has had a quiet game.
Red Card Stefano Mauri
ANOTHER RED CARD!!! Mauri is fairly dispossessed by Nagatomo, but an act of petulance gets the midfielder sent off after kicking out at the ex-Cesena man in foolish fashion. Very disappointing for Lazio, who simply needed to keep their heads.
Eto'o is easily dispossessed by a tenacious Zarate, and he ventures into the box after impressive interchange with Hernanes, but the Argentine should have at least hit the target, as his half volley rolled wide. Very close again from Lazio!
Yellow Card McDonald Mariga
Mariga cynically takes out Hernanes, after being well beaten, and deservedly gets a yellow to mark his first touch since coming on.
Lucio is nowhere near this time as Dias misfires his shot wide of goal, after being found in acres of space by Lichtsteiner again. Leonardo's team cannot seem to organise themselves efficiently. A golden opportunity.
A dangerously whipped in ball is met by Floccari, who had a virtual tap-in, but was salvaged at the last minute by the desperate Lucio. Anywhere will do for Inter, as Lazio are driving forward.
SECOND GOAL FOR INTER!!!! San Siro is rocking once again, courtesy of a terrible slip by Biava, who let in Eto'o one on one with Muslera, and the Cameroonian sidestepped the Lazio 'keeper before tapping into an empty net.
Assist Javier Zanetti
Goal Samuel Eto'o
Stankovic picks up yet another knock in his injury-hit career, and is replaced by the Kenyan Mariga.
Sneijder is found in bundles of space on the left flank, but his shot skews wide. Poor from the ex-Ajax man.
Nagatomo is beginning to improve after decent wing play to cut inside and have a snapshot at goal.
Yellow Card Mauro Zárate
The match restarts, with the visitors kicking off proceedings for another 45 minutes.
The half, no short of action, comes to a close. Let's hope the second-half is as rich in entertainment!
Nagatomo is nowhere to be seen, as Lichtsteiner fizzes in a low cross, but Inter have reason to worry as their substitute keeper Castellazzi is on thr ground after bravely going in for a melee to smother the ball. He gets up and the match continues.
The fouls are flying in, with Nagatomo the latest to tumble to the ground. There will be two minutes of injury time in this pulsating first-half.
Yellow Card Cristian Ledesma
The Oriundo fouls Eto'o in rather cynical fashion and is promptly shown the yellow card.
Assist Samuel Eto'o
Goal Wesley Sneijder
GOAL FOR INTER!!!!!! A superb, curling free-kick from the Dutchman, with Muslera struggling to get to the ball. Game on at San Siro.
Biava is starting to get a grilling from Eto'o. A free kick in a promising central position is given to Inter after the ex-Barca mas is fouled
Yellow Card Javier Garrido
Simply superb. A 37 year old Zanetti gets past 2 Lazio defenders on the edge of the box, and it takes a Garrido lunge to dispossess him illegally.
Nagatomo has had arguably his most difficult appearance for Inter in his short stint at the club thus far. Zarate continues to ask him question after question, and the Japanese full-back is struggling to keep up.
Maicon and Biava clash heads in the Inter box. Fortunately, the Brazilian makes a quick recovery after appearing to come off worst.
Zarate has had an explosive first-half, and his latest chance sees him skin Nagatomo on the left side of the box. After cutting inside, he unleashes a low stinging drive at Castellazzi, which he stops for a corner.
Lazio are comfortably playing the ball around Inter with considerable ease. Sneijder is seemingly frustrated and appears to touch Lichtsteiner's face.
Sneijder unleashes a powerful shot after a Stankovic attempt fell to his feet, but Muslera did well to parry it away. Maicon was in an offside position when the shot came in, and a free kick is awarded to Lazio.
The home fans are not happy, and their disgruntled voices can be clearly heard. Leonardo will be under intense pressure to salvage a result now.
Andre Dias is penalised for pulling Eto'os shirt, and the resulting free-kick almost finds Lucio's head, which just needed a touch but bounces off for a corner! Good chance.
Penalty Goal Mauro Zárate
GOAL!!! Mauro Zarate promptly dispatches the penalty with ease, with Castellazzi going the wrong way. A fantastic start for the Biancoceleste, who were beginning to lose their grip on the game.
Red Card Julio César
RED CARD AND PENALTY TO LAZIO!! Julio Cesar is sent off for a professional foul on the ever dangerous Zarate after lunging in on him. No Inter appeals whatsoever, and rightly so.
Dejan Stankovic charges into the box and after meeting Eto'os neat low cross, his wild volley attempt goes high and wide.
Sneijder looks disappointed after breaking a promising Inter attack with a rare wayward pass. Lazio almost capitalise with a break, but it fizzles out.
Zarate again twinkles his way past Inter shirts and it takes a last-gasp interception from Andrea Ranocchia in the box to ensure the danger is cleared. Close.
The match has started in fine fashion, with both teams setting their stall to attack in a high-tempo approach. It'll take a brave punter to call this match right now.
Eto'o again charges at the Lazio defence, but his calls for a free-kick are rejected after appearing to have been brought down.
Stefano Mauri collects the ball in mid-air on the edge of the box and smashes a volley at goal, but his shot is deflected and danger averts.
Samuel Eto'o has almost exactly the same chance at the other end, but his shot swerves wide. A promising start to the match.
Mauro Zarate collects the ball and takes on a few Inter defenders with ease, before unleashing a stinging drive right at Julio Cesar. The ex-Birmingham man looks lively in these opening stages.
A dangerous free-kick is whipped into the middle by Sneijder and Milito gets a head on the ball, but is subsequently cleared.
Stefano Mauri is penalised for hand-ball and a free kick is awarded to Inter
Inter kick-off proceedings and the game has started.
The players proceed to come out of the tunnel, with the whistle to signal kick-off shortly awaiting us.
