90' + 5'
And that's the match! Juventus go clear at the top of the table after two great goals against Inter at the San Siro. Maicon's great strike was insufficient to turn the tide of recent defeats away from Inter and Claudio Ranieri has much work to do. A blistering first half gave way to a more settled second, which saw quite a few yellow cards. Thank you for joining us here on Goal!
90' + 3'
Pirlo smacks the set piece right into the wall and Juventus look to run down the clock as the game is nearly over.
90' + 1'
We're in the first of four extra minutes now and Del Piero goes down under a challenge from Stankovic. The referee awards a free-kick to the away side as Ranieri looks on in some pain.
Alvarez takes a shot but it's blocked in the box!
Pirlo somehow fails to connect with a great pass in the Inter box! The home side have just a minute plus stoppages to score.
Pazienza comes on for Vidal in the dying moments of the match.
Del Peiro, all alone with only Castellazzi to beat, puts his shot wide of the net!
Alvarez makes a brilliant run and completely dupes Vidal before finding Pazzini. The striker takes the shot on his first touch and it just whizzes past the top right corner of Buffon's net.
Alessandro Del Piero
Alessandro Del Piero comes on to rapturous applause as he replaces Mirko Vucinic for Conte's men.
Alvarez plays Pazzini into the box and the striker's shot is deflected out for a corner, which comes to nothing when Lucio is caught offside.
Pazzini goes down in the box but he's clearly looking for the penalty and he doesn't get it. Castellazzi on the other end immediately makes a great save from Estigarribia but the referee misreads the play and gives a goal-kick.
Castaignos is down injured, mere minutes after Chiellini had picked up a knock.
Ricky Alvarez comes on for Sneijder as Ranieri desperately tries to rescue something from the match.
Pazzini gets the ball in the box and tries to turn his way through Barzagli but Chiellini gets back and nicks it off his foot for Buffon to collect.
Pirlo gives the ball away in midfield, leading Sneijder to try an outrageous shot from the midway line, but his effort is quite off-target.
A terrible pass from Pepe somehow sees Inter get the ball deeper towards the Juventus goal than the player was when he kicked that!
With the game drawing to an end, Inter have less than 20 minutes to find an equalizer before succumbing to their fifth league loss this season.
Estigarribia is coming on now for Matri as Antonio Conte looks to ensure that Juventus stay in the lead. The striker had a great first half though he has been much quieter in the second.
Sneijder tries a shot now but it's right at Buffon's torso.
Inter's number 10 is risking a second yellow as he continues to run his mouth at the ref. He takes a free-kick and directs it towards the Juventus box but the away side defend resolutely.
Yellow Card Andrea Pirlo
Mayhem in the midfield as players are down injured. Pirlo takes out Sneijder and is duly booked, but the Juventus players are furious that Inter did not kick the ball out when Vidal went down injured.
Yellow Card Wesley Sneijder
Sniejder is booked for running his mouth after he felt Juventus fouled his teammate.
Cambiasso gets down on one knee to dispossess Marchisio of the ball, and Inter look to counter quickly. The ball makes its way to Obi who fires a shot from outside the area which goes high, and Stankovic comes on for the player.
Juventus take a corner but Lucio heads it clear. Juventus quickly regain the ball and Pirlo cuts back into the box before blazing a shot over the crossbar.
Bonucci plays an ambitious sweeping pass to Vidal on the right but the new signing cannot reach the ball before it rolls out of bounds.
Yellow Card Cristian Chivu
The home side get their first yellow of the night as Chivu is booked for taking out Vucinic. From the ensuing free kick, the Montenegrin gets the ball and fires it towards goal but Castellazzi manages to save!
Sneijder controls the ball expertly after receiving a Maicon cross, but his shot is blocked by the trailing leg of Lichtsteiner.
Pirlo takes a shot from a central position, just outside the box, but it's right at Castellazzi.
Sneijder's free-kick is only cleared to Pazzini, who lashes at the ball but Bonucci blocks the shot!
Yellow Card Simone Pepe
Pepe brings down Maicon on the right side of the pitch and is booked as well for his late challenge.
Yellow Card Giorgio Chiellini
Nagatomo does brilliantly to cut out Vucinic's pass in the box. As Inter counter, Chiellini is booked for a foul on Pazzini.
Sneijder punches the ball away in anger as the referee blows his whistle on Maicon for a poor challenge.
The away side on the offensive, now. Pirlo goes wide to Lichtsteiner who wins a throw in, and the ball is eventually crossed into the box. It's too powerful, however, and rolls out harmlessly for a Maicon throw-in.
Inter pour forward again and Nagatomo's great run begets the home side a corner. Sneijder's delivery only finds the away side, but Inter quickly regain the ball. There's some confusion as the ball looks to have hit Lichsteiner's arm, and Juventus think they have a goal-kick, but Inter win a corner which comes to nothing.
The substitute gets the ball in a great position but hesitates for the second, allowing Juventus to clear. The ball gets to Zanetti who is fouled wide of the box, and Inter suddenly have a free-kick.
As the second half begins, Castaignos comes on for Mauro Zarate in the only substitute from the break. Inter immediately try a long ball to Pazzini but he's unable to reach the overhit pass.
45' + 1'
And that's the half! The match has been absolutely superb so far, with three great goals and a pace that's frantic most of the time. Inter have some work to do in the second half, and the away side continue to look vulnerable at the back, so be sure to join us in 15 minutes for what looks to be a peach of a second half!
Yellow Card Arturo Vidal
Arturo Vidal is booked after a late sliding challenge on Pazzini, which takes the Italian down.
Vidal pulls on his shooting boots and powers a long range shot towards the goal but it goes wide.
Lichtsteiner fortuitously finds himself with the ball in the box but blasts his shot high and wide of the near post.
An Inter chance goes begging as the home side have the ball in front of the Juventus box but fail to pull the trigger. An Inter appeal for hand-ball, from Bonucci, is waved away by the referee.
Lucio and Chivu were caught completely out of position on that Marchisio chance, as the midfielder simply strolled into the gap where the two should be and received a great pass from Pirlo.
Marchisio gets the ball alone in the box and gets taken down as he flips the ball over the onrushing Castellazzi. The player is furious and wants a penalty but the referee waves play on.
Obi whips in a fantastic cross that gets nicked away from Pazzini at the last second!
Matri and Marchisio have a brief argument in the midfield after the former's pass was hit right to Nagatomo.
The game is still being played at a breakneck pace. For the moment, both sides are having trouble keeping the ball as the pressing has been equally effective on either side of the pitch.
Inter try to equalize immediately but Zarate's chip fails to find Pazzini.
Assist Alessandro Matri
Goal Claudio Marchisio
MARCHISIO SCORES! Against the run of play entirely, Juventus have a rare attack. Matri plays a fantastic one-two with the Italian midfielder, who gets the ball back and just bends it in past Castellazzi. Juventus are back on top!

Juventus are struggling to keep Inter away from their box now. Sneijder whips in a free kick that rolls out for a throw, which Lucio plays into the box but is cleared by Pirlo.
Maicon was in a position wide- suggesting he may cross it- and his shot seemed to take everyone by surprise! Buffon got a hand to it but was powerless to stop it hitting the roof of the net.
Assist Wesley Sneijder
GOLAZZOOOOO MAICON! The Brazilian fullback absolutely RIFLES a shot into the top corner of the net after some superb dribbling by Sneijder! Inter are back in this!
Zarate makes a fool of Lichtsteiner, dribbles into space in the box, and fires at the near post but his shot whizzes centimeters wide!
Inter look to use width and test Chiellini's ability as a fullback but Nagatomo plays a pass right to the opposition.
A Juventus attack ends abruptly as Chiellini is whistled for an unintentional handball near the Inter box.
Inter are now slowly working their way back into the match. Obi plays a throw in deep into the box- Zarate tries a fantastic overhead kick but it's right into the arms of Buffon! He distributes to Pirlo who loses the ball to Zanetti on the edge of the box, but the Inter captain's shot is blocked!
Yellow Card Leonardo Bonucci
And the first yellow of the match goes to Bonucci after pulling on Zarate's shirt near the Juventus box.

Matri nearly doubles Juventus' lead! The striker simply races through the defense and pokes his shot just wide of the net!
Assist Alessandro Matri
Goal Mirko Vučinić
GOAL VUCINIC! The former Roma striker rifled the rebound into the net after Castellazzi parried Matri's shot right into the Montenegrin's path. The whole play was begot from a fantastic Lichtsteiner cross, and Inter find themselves on the back foot!
Cambiasso sparks an Inter counter deep in the Juventus half which ends with an Obi cross into the box that's easily cleared.
Pepe is whistled offside as he receives the ball high on the right side of the pitch.
The first corner of the match is Inter's, and Sneijder whips it in from the left. It finds Lucio alone near the side of the box and he rifles a shot into the box, which deflects out for another corner. Maicon takes this from the other side and Juventus are able to clear it.
Juventus are by no means out of this, though, and Vucinic proves it with a great through ball that nearly finds Matri. Castellazzi rushes off his line to smother it!
Zarate crosses from the byline and nearly finds Pazzini but Barzagli just gets his head to it and clears! It's been a frantic start to the first half with Inter clearly in command.
Another chance for Inter! A fantastic, mazy run by Zanetti gets the ball back to the number 10, who fires a weak shot right at Buffon.
Inter have a free-kick now after Pirlo handles the ball halfway into the Juventus half. Sneijder's great ball gets into the box and finds Cambiasso near the far post, who flashes a volley just wide across the face of the net!
The first foul of the match is called as Pepe clips Obi after a late challenge. Obi gets the ball by the byline and crosses it. Bonucci half clears it and Maicon gets the rebound at the edge of the box. His shot is on target but Buffon goes down to collect it.
Vidal nearly nicks a great cross into the box after some solid Juventus buildup; Lucio stretches his leg and just cuts it out.
A terrible pass from Obi lets Matri try to counter, but the striker is all alone and doesn't make it very far.
Nicola Rizzoli is our referee tonight, and whistles for the beginning of the match. Inter are in their usual black and blue stripes and Juventus in their black-and white kits. The former are attacking from left to right.
Inter fans with an enormous banner: "I did not steal the campaign and I've never been in Serie B." Huge fighting words from the home side's fans!
We're just minutes away from the kickoff and the San Siro is absolutely packed, roaring with activity. The fans know how much is at stake tonight- this game is never just about the three points!
These derbies tend to be feisty affairs as well. In the past few years, Sissoko, Felipe Melo, Tiago, Camoranesi, and Burdisso have all been sent off for the two sides during the match.
Recent history between the two sides has been a mixed record. Juventus won the last game in Serie A by a single goal thanks to an exquisite Matri header. Before that, there was a tie and two Inter wins- one in the Coppa Italiana and one in the league. In 38 meetings in total, Juventus have won 15 and Inter 9.
Both sides have a fair amount of options on the bench. Inter can turn to the likes of Milito for a goal or Stankovic for a midfielder, whereas Juventus have the likes of Del Piero and Qualiarella available to come on. Inter Bench: Orlandoni, Cordoba, Stankovic, Alvarez, Milito, Castaignos, Jonathan. Juventus bench: Storari, Pazienza, Del Piero, De Ceglie, Elia, Quagliarella, Estigarribia.
Antonio Conte's men are nearly at full strength, however, as only Giaccherini has been ruled out with an injury. Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini; Pirlo; Vidal, Marchisio; Vucinic; Matri, Pepe
The home side have a slew of injury problems to deal with along with suspensions, and are thus without Forlan, Julio Cesar, Ranocchia, Samuel, Motta, Poli, Viviano, or Coutinho. Castellazzi; Maicon, Lucio, Chivu, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Cambiasso, Obi; Sneijder; Zarate, Pazzini
Welcome everyone to Goal.com's match coverage of Inter-Juventus! One of Italy's most heated rivalries- if not THE most heated- is less than an hour away. The two teams find themselves at opposite ends of the spectrum, with Juventus currently in second place and Inter down at 16th. Can Claudio Ranieri gets his team to win at home for only the second time this season?
