This game's petered out to be perfectly honest. Inter are keeping possession relatively well, but don't look like scoring unless they can hit the Viola on the counter-attack.
  • 78'
No it's not. The referee gives a goal kick, much to Toni's disapproval.
  • 77'
A corner for Fiorentina is whipped in by Pasqual on the left. It goes towards Toni, but Juan heads it out for another set piece.
  • 75'
OHHH! Another Milito chance, and another miss from the Argentine. A cross from Alvarez on the left found the former Genoa man, and he fired it at Viviano from six yards out.
  • 72'
Don't forget, I want to hear your thoughts on tonight's game. Are Inter back? Should Fiorentina worry about the defensive lapses? Tweet me @alexjmott.

Despite the fact they only have 10 men, Fiorentina are still bombing forward here. Pizarro has it now on the edge of the area, but he's greeted by a wall of Inter defenders.
  • 67'
Valero now for Fiorentina. Inside the centre circle, he tries to play in Fernandez, but Juan reads it and blocks the pass.
  • 65'
Gargano races forward for Inter now. Down the right-hand side, the Uruguay international tries to get to the ball before Pasqual, but pushes him in the back and gives away a free kick.
  • 64'
    Yellow CardFacundo Roncaglia
  • 62'
    Yellow/RedGonzalo Rodríguez
RED CARD! Rodriguez comes sliding in on Nagatomo from behind, and earns himself a second yellow card.
  • 60'
This from @Ahmed_Kayyali: "I'm not watching the game, but are Fiorentina playing as well as they played against Juve?" Yes and No, Ahmed. I hope that answers your question?
  • 58'
Brilliant from Juan. Cuadrado comes forward down the right, but the young Brazilian gets across, and uses his strength to muscle the Colombian off the ball.
  • 55'
    Yellow CardMati Fernández
  • 55'
Romulo comes forward now. The Brazilian skips past Cambiasso, and strikes one from 25 yards out. The effort though, is mishit somewhat, and goes wide of the right-hand post.
  • 52'
The first seven minutes of this half have been all Fiorentina. I don't know what was in those oranges, but it's working. Inter have hardly touched the ball!
  • 50'
Fiorentina come forward again. This time Cuadrado plays in Roncaglia, and the former Boca man strikes one from 25 yards. The shot though, goes well wide of the right-hand post. Positive stuff from the Viola here.
  • 48'
Pasqual steps over it, and hits the ball.....straight at the wall.
  • 47'
And already Fiorentina have won a free kick on the edge of the area.

We're back, and it's Inter who get us underway, kicking from left-to-right.
  • A really entertaining first half here in Milan. A Diego Milito penalty, and Antonio Cassano's neat finish put the Nerazzurri two up, before Romulo headed in on 41 minutes to pull Vincenzo Montella's side back. I'm off for 15 minutes, but in the meantime, tweet me @alexjmott with your thoughts.
  • 45'
That's it. The referee blows for half time, with the score here at San Siro: Inter 2-1 Fiorentina.
  • 44'
Another Milito miss! This time, Cassano played him in from the left. The Argentine, then cut back onto his right foot, and bent the ball past the far post from the edge of the area.
  • 42'
OHH! That could have been the equaliser! Jovetic, on the left-hand byline, pulled it back for Ljajic. The 20-year-old though, decided not to hit it first time, but take a touch. That touch was too strong, and Handanovic came out to gather the ball.

GOOAAALLL! And Romulo has pulled one back for Fiorentina! A cross from Pizarro on the left-hand side, went to the Brazilian, who headed it from 12 yards out, into the bottom right-hand corner.
  • 37'
Milito comes racing forward for Inter. Down the right-hand side, the former Genoa man cuts it back for someone to smash on the edge of the area. Unfortunately, there's no one there.

    GoalAntonio Cassano
GOOOAAALLLL! And it's Inter 2-0 Fiorentina. A ball from Ranocchia went to Cambiasso on the edge of the area. The former Real Madrid midfielder though, let's it run through his legs and out to Cassano. The 30-year-old took a touch, and then just passed it into the bottom left-hand corner.
  • 33'
Cuadrado comes forward for Fiorentina now. The Colombia international tries to take on Nagatomo, but the former Cesena wing-back does really well, and just shepherds the ball out of play for a throw in.
  • 31'
    Yellow CardAndrea Ranocchia
  • 31'
OHHHH! Diego Milito with a sitter! A superb counter-attack saw Coutinho find Cassano on the edge of the area. The former Milan man then slipped in the Argentine, who, one-on-one, smashed his shot straight at Viviano. That should have been 2-0.
  • 29'

  • 28'
    Yellow CardWalter Samuel
  • 27'
Oh, well played by Fiorentina. Ljajic, on the left-hand side of the area, cut inside, and then played a reverse pass to Jovetic. Before the Montenegrin could get his shot away though, Samuel came racing in and made a great sliding challenge.
  • 25'
It comes in from the left this time, but again it's headed away by an Inter defender. But this time away from the area, and away from danger.
  • 24'
It's whipped in from Pizarro, but Ranocchia is there inside the six yard box to head out the otherside, and for another corner.
  • 23'
Fiorentina have certainly hit back. After a prolonged period of possession, Cuadrado wins a corner on the right-hand side.
  • 21'
Fiorentina win a free kick 25 yards from Handanovic's goal. Jovetic hits it, over the wall, but against the outside of the left-hand post!
  • 19'
OHH! That could have been goal of the season! Cassano, chips the ball from 25 yards out, into the path of Milito, who flicks it over the head of Roncaglia, and smashes it on the volley against the crossbar. So close.
  • 17'
    Yellow CardGonzalo Rodríguez

    Penalty GoalDiego Milito
GOOAALLLL! Diego Milito smashes it into the bottom left-hand corner, and Inter go one up!
  • 16'
PENALTY! Coutinho does excellently well down the left to get a cross in. The ball goes out to Zanetti on the far side, who plays it back in, where Rodriguez handles it inside the six yard box.
  • 15'
Zanetti plays the ball into the feet of Cassano, who holds off Tomovic and eventually gets bundled over by the Serbian.
  • 13'
Roncaglia's header though, only goes as far as Cambiasso, who plays it back to the edge of the area, and Coutinho. The Brazil international hits it first time, but the shot is deflected out for another corner.
  • 12'
Cassano whips it in towards the far-post, but Juan Jesus comes out second in an aerial dual with Roncaglia.
  • 11'
Nagatomo makes a flying run down the let-hand side, and wins a corner off of Rodriguez.
  • 10'
Cassano brings the ball forward for Inter now. Down the left, the Italy international played it inside to Cambiasso, who let in run through his legs for Coutinho. The 20-year-old wasn't quite on the same wavelength though, as Rodriguez came in and tackled the youngster.
  • 8'
Romulo comes forward now. Over the halfway line, he tries to shimmy past Cambiasso, but the Argentina international stood firm and put the ball out of play.
  • 6'
Some excellent link-up play between Nagatomo and Coutinho there. The Japan international layed in the young Brazilian down the left, who then played it inside to Cassano. The former Milan man got to the byline and hung a cross in, but Roncaglia was there to head away the danger.
  • 4'
Ljajic and Pizarro exchange passes on the right-hand touchline, but Juan Jesus is there to welly the ball out of play for a throw.
  • 3'
First tweet of the night goes to @connall1875: "Again, i'm looking forward to this. It looks promising for viola because of inter's home troubles. #ForzaViola."
  • 2'
And already they've had a shot on goal. Jovetic, from 35 yards, turned, and hit a speculative effort at goal. It went a mile wide though.
  • 1'
We're off. And it's Fiorentina who kick us off, going from left-to-right in their changed, all-white, strip.
  • Here we go then. The players are leaving the tunnel, with kick off just moments away.
  • Five minutes until kick off here at San Siro. Do not go anywhere. This promises to be a cracker.
  • As always, I want to hear your thoughts and predictions. Tweet me @alexjmott.
  • Fiorentina (3-5-2): Viviano; Roncaglia, Rodriguez, Tomovic; Cuardado, Romulo, Pizarro, Borja Valero, Pasqual; Ljajic, Jovetic.
  • Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Ranocchia, Samuel, Juan Jesus; Nagatomo, Cambiasso, Gargano, Coutinho, Zanetti; Milito, Cassano.
  • TEAM NEWS: With Wesley Sneijder injured, Philippe Coutinho gets a start in midfield, supporting Diego Milito and Antonio Cassano. As for Fiorentina, they're unchanged from the team that did so well against Juventus on Tuesday.
  • In 149 matches between the two, Vincenzo Montella's side have won just 38 games, drawn 50 and lost 60. In fact, in the previous 12 games, Inter have come out on top in every one of them. And the Viola have scored just a solitary goal at San Siro in their last five trips north.
  • The Viola have had an equally mixed time of it in the first five games. At Stadio Artemio Franchi, they're unbeaten. Away from Florence, they're yet to win. And their recent run of results in Milan does not make good reading for any Florentines.
  • Andrea Stramaccioni's side have had a mixed start to the campaign: winning all their away games so far, and yet, not gaining a single point at home. But they'll be hoping to shake that particular monkey off their back here, as they host Fiorentina at San Siro.
  • Good everyone, and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE, play-by-play coverage, of Inter - Fiorentina from San Siro. I'm Alex Mott, and I'll be your commentator for tonight's mouth-watering Serie A clash.
