Commentary

FULL TIME - The final whistle sounds and the first leg of the 2018 World Cup Qualifier Asian Intercontinental Play Off finishes up in a 0-0 draw. Australia played very well but in the end were unable to score a goal to separate these two teams. Juric had a golden opportunity on goal in the first half with Luongo having opportunities in the second half. Ryan had a bit of a score late in the second half from Costly. The second leg will be played in Sydney on Wednesday, just four days away.

Australia had the best opportunity to score, in the 34th minute mark, when Juric was one on one with Escober, looking for the bottom corner of the net, but he pushed it across the face of goal. Honduras have been strong on the rebound. We are set for a cracker second half.
45' Juric and Mejia have a few words with each other. Juric has a bit of a height advantage over Mejia.
44' Mooy has a two on one battle on the edge of the box, but he is forced to the sideline and in the end he concedes a throw in.
