• Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, Verona
Referee: P. Mazzoleni
• Attendance: 23356
E. Hallfreðsson 49'
A. Ljajić 45'+
Y. Gervinho 60'
F. Totti 82'
And that's full-time. Roma win 3-1 and are six points off both first and third place. It looks as though the Giallorossi are cruising back to the Champions League next term - great result!
90' + 2'
What a minute! Marques almost makes amends for giving away the penalty by forcing a good save from De Sanctis with a free header before Totti races up the other end and lifts one onto the bar.
90' + 1'
In other news, there'll be three minutes of injury team.
Not quite sure what Romulo just did there. The Brazilian strides into the Roma half and seems to shoot from the halfway line. De Sanctis was a touch off his line, but that seems like an odd move.
This game is all but over now. Roma are holding onto the ball and both teams are looking forward to getting back into the changing rooms.
Penalty Goal Francesco Totti
GOAL!! Totti steps up to take the penalty and drives it into the bottom corner. Unsaveable.
Yellow Card Rafael Marques
PENALTY TO ROMA! Torosidis drives into the box and goes down under the challenge of Marques and the referee points to the spot. It looked like he got the ball.
Yellow Card Emil Hallfredsson
Totti tries to make amends with a run down the right but Hallfredsson scythes him down. Picking up a booking for his troubles. Leandro Castan is given a free header from the resulting set piece, but nods wide.
Totti has his first touch, and it's a wild, wild effort from about 30 yards. It's struck with awesome ferocity and it flies well wide.
Romulo, who was booked after a matter of minutes is perhaps lucky to remain on the pitch after a tackle from behind on Florenzi.
And here he is. Francesco Totti comes on for Destro as Roma look to see this one out.
There's still life in the hosts yet. Hallfredsson fires another brilliant shot in from distance, but De Sanctis gets behind it.
And it doesn't get any better for Verona - Totti is warming up.
That goal has really knocked the stuffing out of Verona. Roma look comfortable when the hosts are on the ball and even more so when they are in possession themselves. Florenzi has looked lively since being introduced too.
Yellow Card Mattia Destro
Oh, Gervinho... Florenzi gets down the left well and squares it to the Ivorian, who doesn't seem to be aware that it was coming and it bounces off him. All he had to do was open his foot and he'd have scored again!
Well, Roma have responded superbly there. Gervinho was the match-winner in midweek against Juventus - has he delivered another deciding blow?
GOAL!!!! They don't last much longer! Gervinho picks up the ball facing away from goal, takes it past two men and smashes a right-footed effort into the bottom corner. Roma are back in front!
Absolute chaos. A Verona defender tries to dribble out of defence, but Ljajic and Destro can't steer it home between them. The hosts survive.
A superb bit of control sees Destro take a high ball out of the air with ease, but the Italian cannot match his first touch with a telling shot.
Roma, of course, have Francesco Totti on the bench. Could the veteran be the man to turn this match back in their favour?
How can Roma respond? De Rossi lifts one into Strootman, who heads it down. It's easy enough for Rafael to claim, but it seemed like the keeper was in two minds there.
Assist Massimo Donati
Goal Emil Hallfredsson
WHAT A GOAL!!! Verona are back on level terms! Iturbe comes inside off the right and squares it to Donati, who in turn squares it to Hallfredsson and the Icelandic midfielder powers home a 20-yard effort. De Sanctis had no chance!
More positive play from Verona, who break down the left and cross towards Toni, but it's cleared by Benatia with ease.
Verona have started the second half with two big hoofs forward; Roma deal with the first easily, while a Toni handball sees the second break down.
The teams are back out on the pitch and the second half is almost here. Will Roma convert their half-time lead into three points?
And that's half-time. As it stands, Ljajic's goal is closing the gap with Juventus to just six points. Verona have played well so far, but the visitors probably deserve their lead.
45' + 1'
45' + 1'
Goal Adem Ljajic
GOAL!!! Ljajic has the breakthrough! Gervinho picks up the ball on the left, sprints down the left wing and squares it to the former Fiorentina man, who sends a deft flick past Rafael.
And Nainggolan becomes the first Roma man to go into the book after a wild lunge on Marques. The defender might have had his leg ripped clean off if that had made any contact.
Yellow Card Radja Nainggolan
Cacciatore happily concedes a corner after a threatening De Rossi ball towards Gervinho is cleared poorly. Rafael seems to have taken out Hallfredsson with his punch for the resulting set piece.
What a tackle! Romulo - who's on a yellow - beats Gervinho to the ball with a fantastic challenge. Timing was absolutely key there - the Ivorian was in if that challenge hadn't come in.
And so Marco Donadel replaces Maietta. Nasty blow for the player and for Verona.
Oh, this looks horrible. Maietta - under no pressure whatsoever, hoofs away a clearance and goes down holding his leg immediately. The stretcher's on and this is the end of his game. Looks to be a muscle injury.
A rare bit of action for Luca Toni, who latches onto a through ball down the middle, but Benatia gets back to win the ball back.
A bit of commentator's curse there! Gervinho goes on a trademark run down the left and into the box before squaring it to Destro, who lifts his short-range effort over the top.
So, it's fair to say that this game has fizzled out a little bit. Roma started off in encouraging fashion, but Verona have come out well since then and the two teams are cancelling each other out at this point.
Gomez goes from victim to offender as he rather cynically pulls back the breaking De Rossi.
Bit of trouble now for Rudi Garcia's men. Maicon pulls back Gomez on the edge of the box and De Sanctis has the sun in his eyes as Iturbe lines up the free kick, but the wall does its job.
Bit of action for Rafael now. Ljajic, who has been fairly busy in the last few minutes, dinks a lovely free kick into the danger zone and Leandro Castan's header needs to be tipped over.
Ljajic has a dig after a poor clearance breaks to him on the edge of the area. The ball is set up nicely for him but he lifts it over the bar.
This game has been fairly bad tempered. This time Destro gets involved with a bit of afters following a 50-50 for the ball. Just the one booking so far, though.
This is a bit more encouraging from Verona. They've started moving the ball about a bit better, but they're still nowhere near De Sanctis' goal. Luca Toni has barely had a sniff.
Roma win their first corner after a promising attack down the right, but Ljajic's outswinger is headed clear with ease.
Yellow Card Rômulo
Verona are yet to get going at all, here. Roma have dominated possession early on and Romulo has just picked up a booking for a clumsy tackle on Strootman.
First real sight of goal for Roma now as Destro gets the back to goal, turns and shoots, but he doesn't really get hold of his effort and Rafael saves easily. Positive nonetheless, though.
Roma are really monopolising possession here. Torisidis breaks down the left and tries to get a cross in, but Iturbe gets across to frustrate him.
Maicon gets the ball in a great position on the right. The Brazilian whips it in and a deflection almost takes it past the wrong-footed Rafael. Good start!
Bit of controversy early on - Torosidis comes in with a heavy challenge on Romulo. Didn't look to be particularly spiteful, but he certainly caught the man. Drop-ball, though.
And we're off! Roma get the game underway and immediately settle into possession in a sunny Verona.
So, Verona have sprung a couple of shocks in Serie A this season - can they do so again? Or will Roma take advantage of Juve and Napoli's slip-ups? Follow it all here.
