A hilarious mistake in the build-up to Stuttgart goal, but stable throughout the game. Never really had to pull off any miraculous saves.
Showed some good tackling and positioning tonight. Like almost everybody on the pitch, his distribution was sub-par. Won six of seven challenges.
Involved a lot in an attacking sense, but really struggled with his final ball at times. Had a few decent shots at goal.
Wonderful pass for Didier Ya Konan's second of the night and generally looked lively in attack. Was much more stable in defence before the break, but did not make any glaring mistakes.
Missed a glorious chance to open the scoring in the first half and should take some blame for Stuttgart's goal, too. Pretty solid in defence besides that.
Substituted early in the first half after picking up an injury.
The youngster was extremely lucky tonight. Assisted Ya Konan for the first goal in a peculiar (read accidental) way, and was at the right time to deny Cacau a goal in the first half. Misplaced thirteen of thirty-two passes and won just six of eleven challenges. Faded away after the break.
Aside from a powerful shot in the 28th minute and a foul on him five minutes after the break that should have seen Delpierre sent off the midfielder did very little in attacking sense.
Somewhat poor distribution from set-pieces tonight and fairly anonymous until his dive in the penalty area in the 59th minute, which no one bought.
Showed his explosive pace tonight with some breathtaking runs in both halves. Gave Boka a horrible time before being replaced by Mike Hanke in the second half.
D. Ya Konan
Was simply unplayable for most of the game and took his two goal with aplomb. Still, he wasted two glorious chances in the waning minutes of the game that a player of his ability should have played out better.
Bad game from the goalkeeper. Overdid things quite a bit, and showed he is not confident in his position on a number of occasions by making needless dives. Never inspired confidence tonight.
Had no answer to Hannover's left flank and struggled for large parts of the game. His glaring error for the second goal by the hosts sums up his game.
Ran his socks off tonight. Always willing to fight for the ball, showed good tackling and ended the game with 76% pass completion rate. His commitment was not matched by his team mates, however.
Probably some Juventus fans thought there is no defender that Christian Molinaro could ever outclass. Boka proved them wrong tonight. Caught out of position numerous times, partially at fault for Hannover's first, and played Didier Ya Konan offside for the second, amidst many other mistakes by the Ivorian.
Could have been sent off for some horrible tackles and was at fault for Ya Konan's first. Showed poor positioning and hardly managed to deal with the hosts' dynamic attackers.
The best Stuttgart defender tonight. Scored a goal and did all he could to keep the visitors' defence from falling apart, but to no avail. Won five out of seven challenges and completed twenty passes from thirty attempts, which was among the best ratios in this game.
Set-up Cacau for Stuttgart's best chance of the first half, but faded away completely after the break and was replaced by Johan Audel.
Blasted one shot over the bar in the first half and this was pretty much it by the midfielder as he was replaced at half-time.
One of the better performers for the visitors tonight. Assisted Niedermeier's goal with a fine delivery and made some good runs in both halves.
One could hardly tell he was on the pitch in the first half. Picked up his game after the break, but spurned a glorious chance midway through the second period.
Really tried hard in attack, but was left pretty much on his own. Unlucky to be denied by Schmiedebach in the first half, and created a few decent chances after the break.

Came on for Gentner and looked lively. Had one good chance six minutes from the final whistle, but could not take it.
- 14 P. Funk
Came on for Elson at half-time and inserted much needed pace in Stuttgart's attack. Still, he was not presented with much chances and, despite creating opportunities for others, could not influence the game much.
