  • FULL-TIME! Hannover 3-4 Manchester United! The Red Devils win the Chevrolet Cup! Undoubtedly, the greatest pre-season match I've ever seen! The visitors looked to be on top after Javier Hernandez cancelled out Artur Sobiech's opener, only for Hannover to take a two-goal lead in the second half. But a sensational Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa-inspired turnaround sees Sir Alex Ferguson's side end their tour on a high. That's all from me. Thanks for following this evening - hope you enjoyed the game!
  • 90'
One minute added on in Germany, where Nani is involved again. The winger clips a wonderful chip over the onrushing Ron-Robert Zieler and the ball, again, trickles just wide of the post. Surely no time left for an equaliser?
  • 88'
NEARLY ANOTHER FOR MANCHESTER UNITED! Ron-Robert Zieler is a lucky, lucky man. The goalkeeper, inside his own crowded area, hastily hoofs clear to try to clear the danger. He can only fire against Nani's head, though, and the ball rolls narrowly wide of the post.
  • 85'
    Goal Shinji Kagawa
GOAL!! SHINJI KAGAWA, CONSIDER YOURSELF REDEEMED! Manchester United are ahead! The ball falls to the unmarked Japanese playmaker on the right of the Hannover box after great link-up play with Wayne Rooney. Still with a lot to do, Kagawa then fires a bobbling effort past Ron-Robert Zieler and into the bottom corner from an awkward angle. Great finish!
  • 84'
GLORIOUS CHANCE WASTED! Shinji Kagawa fails to control well enough after being found in space on the right side of the Hannover box. Instead of trying to find a team-mate - of which there are many around him - the midfielder selfishly keeps hold of the ball for an age before losing possession with a poor shot. Stingy Kagawa!
  • 82'
    Penalty Goal Wayne Rooney
GOAL!! MANCHESTER UNITED ARE LEVEL! He's not been great from the spot of late, but Wayne Rooney rolls the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the Hannover net, sending Ron-Robert Zieler the wrong way in the process. What a game!
  • 81'
PENALTY!! What did I say about that high line?! Ron-Robert Zieler hauls down Wayne Rooney, who stays onside to race through on goal after breaching the Hannover defence, inside the area. Zieler stays on the pitch. Rooney to take...
  • 79'
Hannover are risking it ever so slightly with this high defensive line. In fairness, it's worked for them all evening, but this time Nani is only just caught offside after racing into space 40 yards out. Had he timed his run better, the winger would have been one-on-one with Ron-Robert Zieler.
  • 77'
Anderson finds Patrice Evra on the left before receiving the ball back from the Frenchman. A wonderful mazy run follows from the midfielder - until he plays the ball to the offside Evra. Good run, that, from Anderson.
  • 75'
Needless to say, really, but this game is a cracker! The first half was decent but the introduction of Mohammed Abdellaoue and Didier Ya Konan for Hannover has really livened things up. Bundesliga defences, watch out!
  • 73'
Two changes now for Manchester United. Off go Javier Hernandez and captain Nemanja Vidic, on come Antonio Valencia and Anderson. That switch means Michael Keane will move to centre-back, with Valencia playing on the right side of defence.
  • 71'
A Bobby Moore-esque - sort of - challenge from Michael Carrick presents Hannover with another chance from a corner. Again, it's not fully cleared by Manchester United, and Christian Pander lets fly with a brilliant left-footed volley from distance, but David de Gea saves.
  • 69'
    Goal Wayne Rooney
GOAL!! WAYNE ROONEY SCORES! We've not even had time to reflect some more on that superb effort from Mohammed Abdellaoue, and Rooney curls a terrific 25-yard free kick to the right of the stranded Ron-Robert Zieler, who doesn't even move. As free kicks go, that's a beaut.
  • 66'
    Goal Mohammed Abdellaoue
GOAL!! WHAT A FINISH! Mohammed Abdellaoue will remember this goal forever! Lars Stindl's right-footed delivery from the right finds the Norwegian with his back to goal on the edge of the Manchester United six-yard box. Abdellaoue, with Nemanja Vidic nearby, then produces a spectacular backheel which rolls past David de Gea to put Hannover 3-1 up!
  • 63'
The hosts are slowly becoming the more dominant side in this game. Plenty of chances being created, regular crosses being fizzed in, and Didier Ya Konan is storming around everywhere - they're making this a great game, that's for sure.
  • 60'
HANNOVER PENALTY? NO! The Bundesliga side look to have won a spot kick as Steve Cherundolo is flattened inside the area by Tom Cleverley. The midfielder wins the ball and the man, so the referee allows play to continue. Big call - could easily have been given!
  • 58'
Didier Ya Konan is a man on a mission! The striker moves inside from the right on this occasion before firing across goal from the edge of the Manchester United box, but David de Gea saves. Did well to keep hold of that, De Gea.
  • 57'
Half-time substitute Szabolcs Huszti gives away a free kick to Manchester United in a dangerous position following a clumsy foul on Shinji Kagawa. Ryan Giggs is the man to take, but his left-footed free kick only strikes the top of the Hannover wall.
  • 55'
Worth a mention for Mohammed Abdellaoue, too - the Norwegian's work-rate was a key factor to Hannover winning the corner that eventually led to Karim Haggui's goal.
  • 53'
DAVID DE GEA TO THE RESCUE! Didier Ya Konan has been causing problems ever since the first whistle of this second half. This time the Ivorian shakes off his marker and drills a powerful right-footed strike at goal after checking inside from the left side of the box. De Gea, though, stays strong in the Manchester United goal to parry the ball away.
  • 51'
CLOSE! Ron-Robert Zieler makes a vital save to deny Javier Hernandez. The Mexican remains onside to work himself a fantastic opportunity to pull his side level already - only for Zieler to palm his fierce shot from 20 yards wide.
  • 49'
    Goal Karim Haggui
GOAL!! KARIM HAGGUI MAKES AN INSTANT IMPACT! Hannover keep up the pressure on the Manchester United defence after David de Gea punches clear - unconvincingly, it has to be said - from a corner. A left-wing cross somehow finds its way to Haggui, on as a second-half substitute, and he gets between Michael Keane and Michael Carrick to bullet a header past De Gea.
  • 47'
Mohammed Abdellaoue and Didier Ya Konan are on for Hannover - that's for certain! However, the rest is yet to be revealed, so we'll have to find that out for ourselves as the second half develops.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionMario Eggimann Karim Haggui

Off we go again for the second half, with Hannover getting us back under way. Changes? Erm, just a few. Ryan Giggs is on for Manchester United, replacing Ashley Young, while David de Gea will play the second half in place of Anders Lindegaard. Hannover? Where to start...
  • HALF-TIME! Hannover 1-1 Manchester United! A good half in Germany. Artur Sobiech gave the hosts the lead after poor goalkeeping from Anders Lindegaard, but the Red Devils were level just six minutes later when Javier Hernandez tucked home from close range. Chances for both sides, the prestigious (?) Chevrolet Cup at stake - what more could we want?
  • 44'
What I failed to mention just a few moments ago was a speculative effort from Shinji Kagawa. The new Red Devils signing had a pop from distance which Ron-Robert Zieler was forced to push just over his crossbar. Good effort.
  • 43'
Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley is next to test Ron-Robert Zieler in the Hannover goal, drilling a low strike at the keeper from 25 yards out. The Germany international saves comfortably.
  • 41'
Good save by Anders Lindegaard. The Dane gets down low to his right to palm a good strike from Jan Schlaudraff just away from his far post. Important stop.
  • 38'
OH! MY! GOODNESS! Nani produces one of THE worst efforts at goal I think I've ever seen! The winger, after receiving the ball back from a cleverly worked free kick with Javier Hernandez, blazes well, well, well, well over the bar. You could have stuck another two goals on top of it and it still wouldn't have gone in. Dreadful! Laughter ensues on the Manchester United bench.
  • 37'
Former Fulham midfielder Leon Andreasen chops Tom Cleverley down 25 yards from the Hannover goal, and Manchester United win a free kick. Wayne Rooney and Nani stand over it...
  • 35'
Ashley Young curls an inch-perfect right-footed cross over to the unmarked Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez just outside the Hannover six-yard box. The reason they're unmarked? They're offside. The referee quite rightly pulls play back for a free kick.
  • 33'
This, dare I say it, is a good game. Let's hope it stays that way. Manchester United, as you would expect, have been on top, but Hannover have looked dangerous on occasion down the left, and the amount of space afforded to Jan Schlaudraff in the build-up to the opener, which Anders Lindegaard should have dealt much better with, will be a slight worry for Sir Alex Ferguson.
  • 31'
    Goal Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez
GOAL!! JAVIER HERNANDEZ WITH THE EQUALISER! Wayne Rooney receives the ball from Nani eight yards out and drives a low, left-footed effort at goal. Ron-Robert Zieler saves but parries the ball straight to Javier Hernandez, who is just onside, and the striker taps into an empty net.
  • 28'
NEARLY A SECOND FOR ARTUR SOBIECH! Just a minute after Javier Hernandez squeezes a shot wide from 18 yards down the other end, a teasing cross from Konstantin Rausch looks set to find Sobiech - only for him to get caught in a Manchester United sandwich six yards out, with the visitors able to scramble the ball away.
  • 25'
    Goal Artur Sobiech
GOAL!! HANNOVER TAKE THE LEAD! Jan Schlaudraff is given too much space and time to run forward towards the edge of the box before letting fly at goal. Anders Lindegaard fails to keep hold of the strike and fumbles it straight to Artur Sobiech, who clips it home with a cool finish from inside the six-yard box.
  • 22'
HOW? JUST HOW?! Michael Keane squanders two unbelievable chances in 60 seconds! Moments after combining with Javier Hernandez to somehow fail to convert Shinji Kagawa's cutback from six yards out, the youngster inexplicably, with the keeper out of his goal and just a defender ahead of him, drives a close-range effort wide. Just how?!
  • 22'
Good play from Patrice Evra. The full-back plays a nice one-two with Ashley Young before Nani is eventually found on the other side of the pitch. The winger clips a cross in to Wayne Rooney, whose effort is deflected wide for a corner.
  • 20'
Hannover lose possession in attack, presenting Patrice Evra with the chance to roam forward with space in front of him on the halfway line. The visitors then look to create a chance through the middle - only for Jan Schlaudraff to chase back and clear.
  • 18'
NEMANJA VIDIC WITH A CHANCE! Ashley Young escapes marker Henning Hauger far too easily at the near post to nod a corner across the box to the unmarked Manchester United skipper, but he can only blaze his off-balance effort over the bar, and Hannover escape.
  • 16'
Ooft. Slight let-off for Anders Lindegaard. Patrice Evra's headed backpass from inside his area is misguided over to his own goalkeeper's far post. Fortunately for Manchester United, the Dane recovers to deal with the danger.
  • 15'
JAVIER HERNANDEZ GOES CLOSE! The Mexican striker has an open goal to aim for as Nani's awkward pass from the right side of the area lands in front of him just 12 yards out, but he fails to even get a touch. Difficult one to control, but should surely have done better with that.
  • 13'
Decent move by Hannover. Winger Konstantin Rausch does well to create space to get a cross into the area, and whips in an inviting left-footed delivery. Anders Lindegaard, preferred to David de Gea from the start today, plucks it out the air easily, though.
  • 11'
Henning Hauger, what on Earth was that?! The Hannover midfielder tries his luck with an extremely ambitious right-footed volley from 25 yards out but, needless to say, fluffs his lines by barely even connecting.
  • 9'
Ashley Young is involved in an attack - of sorts - for the first time in the game. He attempts to keep the ball in play down the left wing but Sofian Chahed is able to shepherd it out for a throw-in.
  • 7'
Vital blocks from both Hannover centre-backs. Javier Hernandez is nearly played through twice in a matter of minutes, but Christopher Avevor is back to clear the first, before Mario Eggimann scrambles the ball away with a last-ditch interception.
  • 5'
Michael Carrick glides a cross-field ball over to Nani on the right side of midfield, but the Portuguese winger is just offside and play is brought back for a Hannover free kick.
  • 3'
...until Michael Keane allows the ball to run out of play, that is. Nani soon picks up possession again, though, before beating his man down the right and whipping in a dangerous cross towards the near post. Javier Hernandez looks to reach it but Ron-Robert Zieler is there to collect.
  • 2'
Very comfortable start for Sir Alex Ferguson's side. Hannover are yet to touch the ball after 90 seconds, with the Manchester United back four passing the ball between themselves.
  • 1'
Manchester United kick us off in Germany.
  • While Hannover, who progressed to the Europa League play-offs with victory over St Patrick's on Thursday, have been scoring goals for fun in pre-season, Manchester United have struggled in front of goal. Federico Macheda, Bebe and Shinji Kagawa have been the only scorers for the club on their tour so far - though they have conceded just once in their five matches.
  • Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, who left the club in 2010 after failing to make a first-team appearance, starts for Hannover, but Mame Biram Diouf misses out with an ankle injury. The pick of the team news for the Red Devils, meanwhile, sees Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa line up in the centre of midfield, and Michael Carrick start in defence.
  • Manchester United line-up: Lindegaard; M Keane, Vidic, Carrick, Evra; Nani, Cleverley, Kagawa, Young; Rooney, Hernandez.
  • Hannover line-up: Zieler; Chahed, Avevor, Eggimann, Pander; Nikci, Andreasen, Hauger, Rausch; Sobiech, Schlaudraff.
  • I say friendly, but the Chevrolet Cup will be awarded to the winner, presenting both sides with the opportunity to begin the new season with a bit of - albeit very minor - silverware. And, with Manchester United billing the fixture on their official website as the first competitive meeting between the two sides, you get the impression they're taking this seriously! Team news on the way...
  • Good evening and welcome to's LIVE! coverage of Manchester United's pre-season friendly with Hannover. My name is Danny Hart and I will be taking you through tonight's game.
