With their Champions League date with Barcelona looming large, Bayern will once again look to rest some key players, with the likes of Philipp Lahm, Daniel Van Buyten, Javi Martinez, Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben likely to be left out this weekend.

That means Rafinha, Luiz Gustavo, Xherdan Shaqiri and Claudio Pizarro will all start, while Mario Mandzukic will miss out due to a minor knock. Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber remain long-term absentees.

Meanwhile, Hannover will be without a host of players for the visit of the new German champions, with Leon Andreasen, Mario Eggimann and Szabolcs Huszti all nursing their way back from injury and lacking fitness.

Felipe has a hamstring problem and Franca is recovering after suffering from tuberculosis.

Ya Konan has often been the man to provide Hannover with a spark this season and with chances set to be at a premium against the mighty Bayern, he will have to be on top form if his side are to get anything from this match.

While Mario Gomez grabbed the headlines with a hat-trick in midweek, Claudio Pizarro has been in a good run of his own. With Mandzukic suspended for the clash with Barcelona, the Peruvian will be hoping to put in a fine performance and boost his chances of a start.
Prediction
Hannover might boast a formidable home record this season but Bayern have been a cut above the rest, beating good teams with considerable ease as they stride towards a season of silverware and they should be able to triumph at the AWD Arena.
