Only had to make one simple save from Mandzukic in the first half before Muller netted the opener which he could do little about. He was unfortunate to see the Croat nod in after denying Robben and was then beaten by a deflection.
Began the game well at right-back with some impressive challenges on Robben but he was beaten too easily in the second half and did not remain tight to his defenders.
The 34-year-old looked off the pace throughout and despite keeping Bayern at bay for a while he soon crumbled. A yellow card for a clumsy challenge and an own goal rounded off a poor second half.
Provided a strong physical presence in defence but after being beaten to Shaqiri's corner by Dante, he got in the way of Schmidtgal's clearance which allowed Muller to give Bayern the lead.
Started well on his Bundesliga debut as he coped well with the threat of Robben and Lahm for much of the first half, but it was his clearance that hit his team-mate for the opening goal.
The work of Nehrig at right-back made him the main outlet for Furth's rare attacks. He looked very lively as he attempted to get in behind Badstuber but his final product left a lot to be desired.
His direct running and flair caused Lahm problems at times but he did not see enough of the ball to really stretch the full-back. Had his team-mates got him involved more it could have been a different story.
Helped his side defensively as Furth formed a five-man midfield when they were without the ball, but failed to make the most of a few free kicks in dangerous areas when they really should have tested Neuer.
With such little possession it was difficult for him to link up with the attack as Bayern dominated the middle. Made some good interceptions but his influence in the opposing half was minimal.
Screened the defence well and made some decent interceptions and challenges. He orchestrated the midfield well but in the end proved to be overrun by the standard of opposition.
Completely mishit two chances for Furth in the first half when he should really have tested Neuer. He never looked like getting the better of Boateng and Dante and after a needless yellow card he was withdrawn.
Commanded his penalty area well as he came and claimed a number of long balls and crosses. Yet he took a few too many risks in vacating his goal that a better team would have punished.
Added impetus to the attack and encouraged a change of tempo with quick give-and-go football. He got forward more in the second half which inspired his team to add a few more goals.
Despite being a new addition he was used to building the attacks from the back for Bayern. There were signs of nerves from the Brazilian in the early exchanges.
Was barely involved and he and Dante were hardly posed with a threat down the centre of the field.
Did well to cope with the pace of Klaus in the first half as he was forced to play in the left-back position. Offered very little going forward but put in a solid display.
Was frustrated by Nehrig and Schmidtgalin the first half as his influence was limited. He upped his game in the second half and after breaking past the defence his shot created the chance for Mandzukic to nod in.
Showed glimpses of his control as well as a determination to win the ball for his team. Floated into the centre a lot but didn't quite get involved as he would like.
Looked very neat in midfield with a delightful array of passing as he distributed the ball competently. He gave away a few too many free kicks with some clumsy challenges but Furth could not take advantage.
He tracked the play well and made some good challenges and interceptions as he broke down Furth's counterattacks. Had more of an influence in the second half but added very little to the team.
Had an unbelievably quiet first half with just an acrobatic effort and a weak header that hardly troubled Grun to his name. Popped up in the right place on the hour mark to head in his side's second goal.
Struggled to influence the game from behind Mandzukic but his driving runs showed some frailties in the Furth defence. Pounced on a loose ball on the stroke of half time to hand his team the lead.
