Charged out from goal in 22nd minute and stayed big to deny Soldado but should have done better on the first goal. He may have been wrong-footed by Feghouli's turn but still should have kept it out. Seemed nervous in between the posts.
Did not get tight enough to Feghouli on the goal, allowing him to turn inside and get a shot away. He defended well and limited the effectiveness of Valencia down the right and made a great forward run on the hour mark.
At times he was careless in possession and almost allowed Mathieu in on 29 minutes. He got forward far more in the second half and created a number of crossing opportunities alongside Jaime.
Allowed Soldado far too much time on the ball in the second half but had a relatively quiet second half. Played some searching long balls from deep as he looked for Jaime Romero out on the right.
After a slow start which saw him leave the pitch for treatment he could have put Granada ahead with an 18th minute header. Was strong in the challenge and kept Soldado quiet alongside Borja Gomez.
Looked confident on the ball, causing problems by running at defenders. However, his delivery was frequently below par and wasted potential chances for Granada to score.
Dominated the middle of the park throughout the game. Eager to close the play but also found plenty of time and space on the ball. Showed great footwork and passing in the centre of the park but his side lacked potency in attack.
A great performance in the middle of the half as he and Fran Rico effectively shut down the Valencia midfield for the whole of the second half. He read the play well and distributed the ball to great effect.
The wide-man's pace was a constant worry for the Valencia defence as he got the better of Victor Ruiz and Mathieu. He limited the effectiveness of the French left-back in the second half and forged numerous chances for his side but they could not finish.
Did not see a lot of the ball and his hold-up play was not up to scratch. His touch let him down when he could have worked the keeper in 37th minute and he also made a number of poorly judged and predictable runs into offside positions.
A hard-working performance from the Argentine, dropping back to pick up the ball and link the play. His close dribbling always posed a threat to the Valencia defence but could not find the killer touch in the final third.
A relatively comfortable evening for the Valencia keeper as the hosts lacked invention in the final third. Rarely had to make a save and a poor clearance almost allowed Dani Benitez a chance to equalise in first-half stoppage time.
A fairly solid performance at right-back despite some problems from Dani Benitez and Jara. He certainly played his part in the keeping the clean sheet as Granada continually looked to threaten down the right. Rarely ventured forward to keep things tight at the back.
His passing let him down in the first half as he gave the ball away on more than one occasion. He made a few rash challenges but proved more than match for Ighalo and Uche, neither of who could get the better of the French centre-back.
Aided his side's attack by offering width in the opposition's half during the first half but was penned in for the majority of the second half. Struggled to deal with Jaime but always looked dangerous when breaking forward.
Played in a more advanced role and drifted inside which made him difficult to pick up. However, he was not as involved in the game as he would have liked. Volleyed narrowly over in the 38th minute despite excellent execution but failed to impact the match.
Was caught out by the pace of Jaime early on but gathered his bearings to supply a fairly capable performance from then on. He stayed strong in the air as his side dealt with a surge of crosses from the hosts in the second half.
Operated in a deeper midfield role than he would probably like and his weaknesses were exposed. He made a number of poorly judged tackles and was played off the park by Fran and Mikel Rico in Granada's midfield. Was also guilty of trying to play the more difficult pass rather than keeping it simple.
Showed great composure to turn Siqueira and score the opening goal, though it was somewhat fortunate. However, he offered little else throughout the match and was withdrawn in the 73rd minute.
Found it difficult to control the midfield alongside Tino Costa under the intense pressing from Granada. He made some great tackles, notably on Jara, to aid the defence but offered nothing going forward.
Hardly involved in the game despite an impressive display for the national team in midweek. He was frequently isolated and failed to put away two chances in the first half. His touch evaded him in the 88th minute when he could have gone through on goal.
Supported Soldado well, putting him through on goal in the 20th minute and created the goal with a great pass to Feghouli. With Granada in complete control in the second half he could make no impact for the rest of the game.
- 1 José Juan
- 15 P. Diakhaté
- 5 Mainz
Brought on for the last 10 minutes and picked up where Jaime left off with some positive forward runs.
The powerful striker struggled to get on the ball in his time on the pitch and did not effectively lead the line.
- 16 Henrique
Added a much needed new dimension to the Granada attack but could not conjure a goal for his side.
- 1 Diego Alves
- 12 Barragán
- 21 Dani Parejo
Made no impact on the game after coming on for Feghouli as Valencia continued to be under constant pressure from the hosts.
- 6 Albelda
Brought on in the 81st minute and had no opportunity to impact the match.
Replaced Jonas in the 76th minute and won a few headers in the opposing half to provide some relief for his side's defence.
