So Jelavic's goal drought is over as he scores Everton's winner against Tottenham again. You couldn't write the script.
Tottenham lose for the first time since the North London derby. They didn't deserve to win, and their goal was rather fortunate, but I'm sure AVB's men will be feeling sick at the manner of which they lost this.
David Moyes' side move level on points with Tottenham as they end their run of four games without a win.
WHAT A TURNAROUND. Everton have dominated this game and were just two minutes away from a barely deserved defeat before Steven Pienaar nodded home to level things from Coleman's cross. The Everton fans were in raptures at having saved a point but things got even better as Vellios missed an overhead attempt and the ball fell to Jelavic to sweep home from a matter of yards. 2-1. Incredible.

GOAL! 1-0 to Tottenham! Tom Huddlestone makes an instant impact as he feeds Dempsey who turns shoots at goal from distance. His strike is deflected off Distan, and loops in over Tim Howard's head. It's against the run of play but Spurs won't care.
Loris dives low to his right-hand side to push away Osman's low first time effort from the edge of the box.
Tottenham's first substitution of the afternoon sees Lennon come off with Huddlestone coming on as his replacement.
Walker takes but it's massively overhit and Everton clear it away.

Osman's late challenge on Walker sees him go into the book as Spurs have a free-kick outwide.
Everton fans shout for another penalty for handball as Coleman's cross is blocked but to no avail. Loris punches away Coleman's second attempt. It falls to Baines, whose low cross picks out Osman, but the England international blasts over.
Fellaini climbs well to get his head onto Gibson's free-kick from deep, but he can't get enough power on it and it Loris gathers it with ease.
Walker's corner picks out Vertonghen but his header is straight at Howard.
Howard pushes Vertonghen's swerving free-kick over for a corner.
Free-kick to Spurs after Gibson clips Dempsey, just as the American pulls back to fire a shot at goal.
Another corner to Tottenham after Gallas sees a shot deflected wide but it comes to nothing.
The momentum of this game appears to have already shifted with Mirallas' withdrawal. Spurs have dominated possession so far this half and Everton are struggling to find an out ball with the decidedly less pacey Naismith now out on the right.
Sandro spins his man and shoots from distance, but his shot is deflected wide for a corner.
Free-kick to Everton in a central position. The wall blocks Baines' shot. It falls back to him but he scuffs the rebound, with the ball ricocheting to Naismith but he puts it wide.
Mirallas is said to have just been feeling his hamstring so is taken off as a precaution, with Everton needing him fit for the festive period instead.
Half-time substitution for Everton as Naismith comes on for Mirallas.
Tottenham get the half underway...
This game badly needs a goal. Tune in for the second half to see if we get one.
It's been an even half. After an explosive start it petered out as the half wore-on before a lively end just before the interval. There's been a lock of goal action however, and the sides go in with the scores goalless.
Everton fans boo the half-time whistle, feeling hard done by after seeing three shouts for a penalty turned down during the half.

One minuted added on as Caulker does superbly to block Osman's shot from close range with his chest.
Everton fans want two penalties for handball in the space of a minute. The first hits Dempsey's chest, but the second looks like it hits Gallas' arm.

Baines scythes down Lennon with a late challenge on the half-way line. He is booked for his troubles.
Baines feeds Fellaini, who flicks the ball forward to Osman, but his left-footed shot flies wide of the far post.

Vertonghen is booked for a mixture of the foul and for dissent as once again another Everton set-piece comes to nothing.
Vertonghen hauls Coleman to the ground as Everton win another free-kick outwide.

Free-kick to Everton. Jermain Defoe is booked for creeping forward in the wall. Baines takes the set-piece but it comes to nothing.
This game has settled down somewhat after a frenetic start. Everton still look the most likely to grab the opener but Tottenham are holding firm, just.
Pienaar takes but Fellaini's header is high and wide.
Corner to Everton...
Coleman sprints forward into space with the ball at his feet, but he fires his shot wide. He really should have looked to cross that.
Everton's clearances have been poor so far today and Tottenham continue to push patiently whenever they have the ball.
Baines looks for Jelavic with a through ball from inside his own half, but he overhits it and it goes straight to Loris in the Tottenham goal.
Walker whips in a Tottenham free-kick to Adebayor but Distan manages to head it away.
Gibson sees his shot following the corner drift wide, while Defoe has a shot blocked at the other end as Spurs counter-attack.
Great defending from Gallas. Everton find themselves two against one, but Mirallas' cross is poor and Gallas gets back to it before Jelavic to clear it for a corner.
Gibson's long ball finds Jelavic, who shrugs off Gallas, but Osman is unable to connect with the Croatian's pull-back and Spurs get it away.
Tottenham are dominating possession now after getting through Everton's early minutes of dominance.
It's Dempsey but Tim Howard collects it comfortably.
Osman gifts the ball to Dempsey. The American runs at goal but is brought down by Gibson. Free-kick to Spurs in an attacking position. Walker and Dempsey could shoot from here.
End-to-end stuff here at Goodison so far, as an Everton attack is called to a halt after Coleman controls the ball with his arm.
Really good goal-keeping from Loris. He times his dive to perfection to push the ball away from Jelavic's feet, as the Croatian runs one-on-one at goal and tries to round the Frenchman. Everton fans wanted a penalty but there's nothing wrong with that challenge. It remains 0-0.
Spurs holding onto possession now as they continue to push but they're struggling to break down a stubborn Everton defence. Dembele finally fires a shot at goal from outside the area but it's straight at Tim Howard.
Everton have started very confidently with Mirallas looking a real threat early on. His through ball picks out Coleman, who crosses low to the near post but Jelavic is unable to find the target. Goal-kick to Spurs.
Everton almost take the lead in the first minute as Mirallas cross is headed back across goal by Pienaar to Osman, but his side-footed shot is blocked.

Steven Pienaar comes up against his former side here for the first time since he returned to Goodison Park permanently. Will be interesting to see how he gets on today.
The teams come out at Goodison to a thunderous reception with kick-off now just moments away.
USA internationals Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey embrace, as the teams wait in the tunnel, preparing to come out, led by captains Phil Jagielka and William Gallas.
Make that 2-1, City have just scored. But anyway, back to Goodison Park, where kick-off is now less than ten minutes away.
15 minutes to go until kick-off. In today's early kick-off Manchester United are currently winning 2-0 at the Etihad against Manchester City, thanks to two goals from Wayne Rooney.
Tottenham currently hold the last Champions League place as they sit fourth in the league table, while Everton are three points behind them in seventh. Only one strike separates the sides on goal difference, so even though we're still in the first half of the season, this game could be crucial come the end of the year when it comes to the chase for Europe.
Spurs meanwhile are currently firmly on form, despite the absence of the injured Gareth Bale. Since losing in the North London Derby last month, they go into today's fixture having won all of their last three league games.
The Croatian has not scored in his last four games however, with Everton drawing three and losing one of their last four matches.
A solitary strike from Nikica Jelavic saw Everton win in this fixture last season back in March, with Tottenham's last win at Goodison Park coming back in 2007.

Meanwhile, after scoring in the Europa League in midweek, Emmanuel Adebayor is named in attack alongside Jermain Defoe, following his three-game suspension in the league, in what is an attacking line-up named by Andre Villas-Boas.
