Thanks for joining us this evening, make sure to stick with Goal for all of the reaction to this evening's matches.
Full-time in extra-time! Everton scrape through into the third round of the Capital One Cup! Martinez's men made life difficult for themselves at Goodison Park with some poor finishing - Kone the main culprit - but progress thanks to Fellaini's late, late winner. Stevenage must be given credit for their part, frustrating the Premier League outfit and even taking the lead through Freeman, however the Toffees were always on top and, after levelling via the impressive Deulofeu, were also always likely to run out victors.
Fellaini loses the ball in front of his own defence, allowing Deacon to break on the left and test Joel, but the Everton keeper saves the effort via a deflection.
The big man's introduction has certainly made a difference at Goodison - Everton are now looking to keep the ball and close out the result.
GOAL! Fellaini saves Everton with just five minutes left of extra-time! Oviedo's initial cross is cleared from danger but Dunne commits defensive suicide by launching it right back in to the six-yard box, leaving the Belgian to fire home from close range.
Osman wastes a good position by overhitting a pass straight out for a goal kick - something just hasn't quite clicked tonight.
Fellaini heads just over from the resulting corner, but should at least test the Stevenage keeper.
SAVE! Day gets down quickly to deny Fellaini as the ball falls to the big Belgian in the box after Naismith's blocked shot.
Fellaini flicks on Distin's throw but Hartley gets there first and hacks the ball away.
Deulofeu takes it himself but, wastefully, fires it over the bar. Players had come up from the back and it wasn't even a great shooting position - not a good decision.
Deulofeu wins a free-kick in a dangerous area after Fellaini plays him through...
Yellow CardPeter Hartley
Everton get the second period of extra-time underway.

The referee blows the extra-time half-time whistle.
Fellaini shows his class with a neat turn and fine pass out to Naismith, but Gray gets back to make the tackle.
HOW HAS KONE NOT SCORED?! Deulofeu breaks down the right and finds the forward who is firstly blocked by a defender and secondly kicks the ball against his own leg. He should score but the chance passes him by once more.
Naismith finds no-one with an attempted pass down the line as the ball trickles out for a goal kick. The Toffees are being frustrated tonight.
Heitinga drags a shot wide after another Oviedo cross is headed away. The hosts look the most like scoring at the moment.
Shouts of handball from Everton after Oviedo's cross cannons off Osman and into a Stevenage defender, but nothing is given.
On comes Fellaini as Martinez looks to get this cup tie won. Barkley comes off to a standing ovation after a good display.
Dunne volleys, impressively, over the bar. I reckon that one might end up outside Goodison.
Freeman beats Oviedo too easily but shoots when he should probably cross - Sylvain Distin blocking his shot from a tight angle.
Stevenage get the first period of extra-time underway.
90' + 4'
Full-time in normal-time! The Capital Cup tie goes to extra-time with the score locked at 1-1 after a fairly uninspiring second half. Everton will be annoyed that they didn't put the game to bed in the first period - squandering a number of chances before Stevenage actually took the lead through Freeman. Deulofeu then put them level with the last action in the first half, and it turned out to be a very important goal that keeps the Toffees in the competition.
90' + 3'
Greg Tansey forces Joel into a smart save right at the death with a fine, dipping shot from range.
90' + 2'
Seamus Coleman lashes a volley well over the bar after the ball drops kindly for him inside the penalty box.
Oviedo crosses from the left towards Kone but the forward doesn't get up high enough and heads off target.
Gray makes a vital challenge on Deulofeu to concede a corner - it would have been a penalty had he got that wrong. Everton take it quickly and the Spaniard tries from range, but Day saves well.
Stevenage are holding on a bit now as Deulofeu's cross is hacked away - the visitors with their whole team back defending.
Deulofeu goes for glory after breaking down the middle but his shot is right down Day's throat.
The game has really quietened down now with both sides looking happy to take the tie into extra time - or wary of conceding a late goal.
Osman is close to breaking through the Stevenage back-line after Naismith finds him on the edge of the box, but he can't quite get it under full control.
Yellow CardMichael Doughty
We're back underway as Boro give the ball back to Everton.

Deulofeu has a go from way out but Ashton heads it behind for a corner. The Spaniard delivers it but Stevenage keeper Day claims the ball.
Freeman crosses from the right but Joel claims it dominantly. Stevenage are just coming into this game a bit more now - perhaps Martinez will look to Kevin Mirallas, Nikica Jelavic or Fellaini soon?
Tounkara breaks and nearly finds Freeman inside Everton's box but Oviedo makes an important interception.
Deulofeu shows some trickery on the right wing to beat his man, but his cross goes straight to Day.
Yellow CardDavid Gray
Barkley displays some good footwork while holding the ball up in the corner, before finding a team-mate and allowing Everton to start an attack. He's another who has impressed so far tonight.

CHANCE Michael Doughty makes an important block to deny Osman after Oviedo's low cross.
Barkley powers through the Stevenage team with a great run but just misses the far post with the low shot.
Naismith tries a neat round-the-corner ball after Deulofeu plays it in to him, but the defender cuts it out.
SAVE! Day does just enough to put Kone's effort behind after Naismith plays the forward through on goal. Good stop, that.
Deulofeu delivers a delicious early cross from the right but Naismith can't quite stretch enough at the back post and fails to make contact.
Barkley breaks for Everton, showing strength and a turn of pace, before working a shooting opportunity - Day parries it away.
Stevenage have the ball deep in the Everton half but Shroot can't get the ball under control and concedes a throw.
Everton get this Capital One Cup tie back underway.
Half-time! Martinez's men go in level thanks to that brilliant goal from Deulofeu. Everton dominated the whole of the first half, Barkley and the Barcelona loanee looking bright, and should have really taken the lead when Kone and Osman both failed to convert great chances. However, they found themselves behind when Stevenage hit the Toffees on the break - Freeman finishing off a swift counter-attack - only to be saved by the teenager's late individual effort.
45' + 3'
GOAL! The impressive Deulofeu finishes beautifully on his competitive debut and puts Everton level! The ball breaks for the 19-year-old on the edge of the penalty area, he jinks past one man - shifting the ball onto his left foot - and then dispatches a cool low finish into the corner.

CHANCE! Kone should score, again, but blasts the ball well over the bar from just outside the six-yard box. All it needs is a bit of composure, but the striker completely snatches at it.

GOAL! Freeman puts Stevenage ahead out of absolutely nowhere! Tounkara breaks away on the left wing before pulling the ball back to Jimmy Smith, he completely slices his shot but it falls to the 21-year-old who finishes calmly with just one touch.
CHANCE! Osman should score for Everton after more great work from Deulofeu on the right wing - found by a nice ball out wide from Barkley. The Barcelona loanee crosses neatly but the Toffees midfielder miscues his initial effort and fails to bundle the ball over the line afterwards.
Osman tries a one-two with Naismith but the latter's return ball is too heavy and the attack fizzles out.
Deulofeu fizzes a low delivery across the face of goal from just inside the right-hand-side of the 18-yard box, but no-one can get on the end of it.
Charles is forced off after that challenge by Hibbert and Oumare Tounkara comes on in his place.
A nice spell of Everton passing ends with Naismith dragging a poor effort harmlessly wide of the goal.

Luke Freeman strays offside for the visitors as they look to try and get in behind - they aren't having much luck at getting hold of the ball at the moment.

Steven Naismith again goes short with the corner but Everton fail to work a shooting opportunity. Perhaps they should have just crossed the ball with Jagielka and John Heitinga both up from the back?
Barkley wins another corner with a deflected shot, the England man already showing why Roy Hodgson has given him the nod.
The ball goes all the way through to Phil Jagielka at the back post who wins another corner. The Toffees play this one short to Barkley who fires just off-target with a vicious strike.
James Dunne fouls Leon Osman midway into the visitors' half. Everton play it short and work a shooting opportunity for Barkley - his shot deflected behind for a corner.
Robin Shroot whips a dangerous Stevenage corner in towards Jon Ashton, who flicks it on, but the ball doesn't quite fall for a team-mate and the hosts get it away.
Tony Hibbert charges up the right flank and tries to squeeze a cross in, however it's blocked by the Boro defender and then cannons back off the Everton man for a goal kick.
And Stevenage get the game underway.
Kick-off at Goodison is imminent, folks.
A worrying omen for Martinez; Everton have been knocked-out of the Capital One Cup by lower-league opposition twice in the last three seasons. He'll be hoping to better that record tonight.
Ross Barkley also starts tonight, after winning his first senior England call-up for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, so all eyes from a Three Lions point of view are likely to be on him.
Arouna Kone makes his first Everton start since signing from Wigan this summer, while Joel Robles, John Stones and Gerard Deulofeu all make their competitive debuts. Manchester Unite targets Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini are on the strong Toffees bench. Stevenage, meanwhile, are unchanged for their win over Nottingham County on Saturday.
