FULL TIME IN KIEV. A highly disappointing affair between Porto and Dynamo Kiev finished at 0-0. The Portuguese side will take this as they are in pole position to qualify as group winners. Dynamo will be frustrated at the lack of opportunities created. A point a-piece in Ukraine. Thank you for joining us on Goa.com! See you next time!
90' + 2'
Incredible scenes here! Dynamo are attacking and a home fan invades the pitch! What is he thinking!? His team are going for the winner!? Well I doubt he'll want to show his face in Kiev tonight!
90' + 1'
Kleber comes on to replace James Rodriguez for Porto. The Portuguese champions just wasting a little time.
Lucho drags his shot wide!! The Argentine looks to polish off a nice Porto move and drifts into the area before leashing an attempt at goal but it goes beyond the left-hand post! Porto almost steal the points!
The crowd are trying to get behind their team but Porto are doing very well to negate the threat of the hosts. They are calmly and collectively keeping possession and frustrating Kiev. Time ticking away now.
Fantastic goalkeeping again from Helton. He spots the danger very early and sprints out from his goal to clear the ball when Ideye would have been through if he had collected the through pass.
It is all Dynamo now. The fans in Kiev are really getting behind their team now! Porto look to be settling for a point so we can expect to see an onslaught from the hosts. Still plenty of time for the Ukrainians to grab a goal and re-ignite their European campaign.
Porto are just adding some fresh legs in midfield now. Steven Defour comes off for Andre Castro. The Portuguese is another player making his Champions League debut tonight.
Veloso attempts to take the game by the scruff of the neck and lashes a well struck half-volley at goal from distance but Helton gets his body behind the ball and makes a solid save.
Dyamo are looking dangerous as we enter the last 15 minutes of the match. You wonder whether both teams would settle for a point. Porto certainly would but it doesn't really do the hosts any good!
Porto make their first change of the match as Varela is substituted for Christian Atsu. For anyone who has seen the Ghanian he possesses blistering pace and a box of tricks.
Yarmolenko misses an opportunity at the back post. He breaks away deep into the box and heads at goal but Helton catches comfortably. It was a hard chance for the Kiev man as the ball was high and behind him.
Yellow CardAbdoulaye Ba
Ba earns a booking for a cynical challenge on Haruna. The young Nigerian has added some dynamism to the Kiev frontline after coming on. Perhaps he can be the one to break the deadlock.
What a miss from Yarmolenko!! The breaks the Porto offside trap and with the entire goal to aim at he passes the ball straight into the arms of Helton! Kiev pass up a golden opportunity!
Dynamo Kiev make their second change of the match as Marco Ruben comes off for Aide Ideye. The Argentine has had a very frustrating evening tonight.
Husyev whips a dangerous cross into the area but it is headed away. The ball comes back to Nicolas Otamendi who horribly slices his clearance but lucky for him, Helton was on hand to pick up.
Yarmolenko should have done better! Mangala puts the ball out to the wing with a poor defensive header and the it comes to the Kiev man. He attempts to pick out Haruna in the box but his cute pass inside is intercepted by Helton! That was a chance!
The young Nigerian is straight into the action. He swivels in the centre and drives towards goal but is clipped by Steven Defour. That looked like a dive but Kiev have an opportunity to get the ball in the box.
Haruna Abdulkarim Lukman
First change of the match for Kiev. The disappointing Milevskiy comes off for Lukman Haruna, who makes his Champions League debut.
Excellent pressing from the Porto frontline. Martinez leads the way as he puts intense pressure on the Kiev defence. The hosts eventually are forced to clear up the park and Mangala chests the ball down and passes the ball on the deck.
A rare glimpse of Milevskiy now. The Kiev number 10 receives the ball with his back to goal and turns sharply before striking on goal but it is a terribly tame effort and Helton collects easily at his near post.
Danilo finds himself in an advanced position down the right wing and he attempts to pick out Martinez in the middle with a whipped cross. As the ball comes in Koval comes out from his goal and clutches.
Varela misses a great chance!! The Portuguese latches on to an excellent pass through the middle but with the goal at his mercy he blasts over the bar from the left-hand side! He should have done better there!
Porto have started the half in much the same vein as the majority of the first period. They are seeing a lot of the ball but don't seem in any rush to create any chances. A draw does them tonight after all.
James Rodriguez cuts in from the right-hand side and looks to drive at pace and set the ball up for a shot on his left foot but Khacheridi is there again to deny the Colombian. The Kiev defender has done well tonight.
WE ARE BACK UNDERWAY!
HALF TIME IN UKRAINE. Dynamo Kiev and Porto are cancelling each other out at the moment. Jackson Martinez with the best opportunity of the match with a headed attempt at goal that was well saved. Not the best of matches. Hopefully we will see more in the second half! Join us then in 15 minutes!
Excellent goalkeeping from Helton. Yarmolenko looks to latch on to a pass through the middle but the Porto goalkeeper dashes out to clear the ball. The Kiev man was eventually flagged as offside but Helton wasn't to know that.
Varela has received the ball plenty of times in the first half but he has really struggled to have an impact on the game. Yarmolenko has retreated back and doubled up with Betao to outnumber the pacey winger.
Yellow CardArtem Milevsky
Milevskiy earns a yellow card for a raised arm. The Kiev man just caught Nicolas Otamendi on the face with his elbow but there was nothing malicious in the challenge. He's still booked, though.
The Porto defenders are continually looking to pick out Jackson Martinez with long balls but it just is not working. Their best play has came through patient passing in the final third so it is puzzling why they have resorted to this tactic at times.
Husyev looks to pick out Yarmolenko on the right but Mangala stops the past with a chested interception. He finds himself in a bit of a muddle at the back but Helton eventually comes out and claims. Nervous moment for the Porto defender there.
What a save from Koval!! Rodriguez picks out Martinez inside the area with a gorgeous cross from the left and the Colombian powers a header towards the bottom corner. The 19-year-old Kiev goalkeeper somehow gets down to turn it round the post!
Fantastic defending from Taiwo!! Veloso loses the ball in a dangerous position in midfield and Porto counterattack at pace down the right. Martinez drives into the box and looks poised to shoot on goal but the Nigerian comes in with a brilliant last ditch challenge!
James Rodriguez whips in a corner from the left and the ball is eventually cleared to Moutinho. The Portuguese international attempts a spectacular volley but gets it all wrong and the ball harmlessly reaches the hands of Koval.
Yarmolenko with the opportunity to whip the ball in with a free kick from the right. He steps up and floats the ball towards the near post and the ball comes off the head of Moutinho out for a corner. Well, it looked to be a corner but the referee gives a free kick to Porto for an offside.
Otamendi breaks out from defence and looks to pick out Martinez with a pass over the top of the Kiev defence but goalkeeper Koval rushed out from his line to claim the ball with authority. Good play from the young man between the sticks.
Silly from Husyev. Danilo was retreating back towards his own goal and looked out of ideas in an attempt to clear the ball but the Ukrainian barged him in the back and got him out of jail.
Mikhalik picks out Husyev on the left wing with a gorgeous crossfield pass. The Kiev captain looked to be through on goal but he is flagged as offside. That's a couple of times that he has been offside when he did not need to be, he was looking right along the line.
Martinez comes deep and picks up a floated ball from the back and expertly chests down before sending the ball down the right for Danillo. The right back charges down the wing but cuts inside due to a lack of support in the box.
Yellow CardOgnjen Vukojevic
Porto beginning to dominate the ball much more now. They are calmly and patiently keeping the ball in and around the final third. Fair play to Kiev though they look a solid unit at the back so far.
Varela goes on a rampaging run down the left-hand side and despite showing plenty of pace and power in his run, loses the ball when he cuts inside and finds himself outnumbered by Kiev players.
The Portuguese side are just starting to find their feet again with the midfield trio exerting their authority more. First glimpse of Varela and Martinez as the two exchange a neat one-two in the final third but Kiev eventually manage to retain the ball.
Veloso cleans up at the back and fires a long ball up top to Husyev but the Kiev captain is taken out by Ba on the halfway line. The Porto defender kneed him right in the back! Painful one.
Exciting Porto striker Jackson Martinez has not had a sniff so far. The visitors will need to get more service to the Colombian as he is probably their best shot at getting a goal. He has scored 12 goals in 13 games so far this campaign.
An interesting duel is developing down the right-hand side for Porto. James Rodriguez is up against young defender Khacheridi and they have already had a couple of pacey footraces down the wing.
Marco Ruben claims for a penalty!! The Argentine fires a volley at goal from inside the area and the ball appears to hit the arm of Mangala! It would have been very harsh on the Porto defender as his arms were by his sides!
The hosts did not allow Porto to settle in possession for too long. They are pressing with intensity and the visitors now appear to be struggling with the pressure.
Defour languishes in possession in the middle and Kiev manage to steal possession and drive forward. Husyev picks up the ball on the right and lashed a cross into the centre but Porto manage to scramble the ball away.
Porto have settled into the game nicely and have started their patient passing game. You get the feeling that Lucho, Defour, and Moutinho are going to be so key in the middle for the away side.
Dynamo have the first opportunity to test the opposition goalkeeper with a free kick from the left-hand side. Miguel Veloso swings it in but the cross is shallow and Porto easily clear.
WE ARE UNDERWAY IN UKRAINE.
The Champions League sounds out in the stadium and we are a few moments from kick-off now!
Here is a very interesting one for you: Dynamo have won just one of their last 16 away games in the Champions League group stage – at Porto in October 2008.
Lucho Gonzalez scored in the 2-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb on matchday one and has now registered in all eight seasons he has appeared in the Champions League. Will he add to his tally tonight?
Just under 10 minutes from kick-off now, and I'd say its time for some pre-match stats!
You can follow us on Twitter at @goal_intl so don't forget to post your thoughts, feelings, and predictions on the match!
This is the starting XI of Porto: Helton; Danilo, Otamendi, Ba, Mangala; Lucho, Defour, Moutinho; Rodriguez, Martinez, Varela.
This is how Dynamo Kiev will be lining up tonight: Koval; Betao, Mikhalik, Khacheridi, Taiwo; Veloso, Vukojevic; Yarmolenko, Milevskiy, Husyev; Ruben.
THE TEAMS ARE IN.
Dynamo are currently third in the group with one win from three matches, but will still feel they are in contention to progress to the knockout stages. The fans in Kiev will likely create a fantastic atmosphere, so perhaps they can act as the catalyst for a home win this evening.
All Porto need to do to qualify this evening is earn a point, and with three wins out of three so far, you wouldn't put it past them.
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action this evening. Two teams who love to play football on show tonight, so lets hope we see an entertaining match with plenty of goalmouth action!
