FULL TIME IN ZAGREB. Porto seal a vital win in their opening game of Champions League Group A thanks to goals from Lucho Gonzalez and Steven Defour. Goal Steven Defour
GOOOOOOAAAAAAAL FOR PORTO!! THAT SEALS IT! The impressive Atsu reverses a pass into the centre for Defour who waits for Kelava to commit himself before lifting the ball over him into the net! 2-0. Game over.
Three minutes of stoppage time has been added. The game is getting incredibly stretched now as Dinamo are desperate for that vital equaliser. They will have to act fast, though!
Porto looking dangerous in the latter stages here. As Dinamo press forward to look for the equaliser their is more space being created in the final third for the visitors.
Steven Defour attempts to get in the action and, although his turn on the egde of the box was sharp, his blasted shot at goal goes horribly wayward.
Great save from Kelava! Atsu twists and turns on the edge of the area before lashing a strike on goal but the Dinamo goalkeeper manages to beat the ball away!
Porto still controlling possession at the moment. They game was stretched for a while but they have done well to negate the atmosphere of the home crowd with patient passing.
And Kleber misses a great opportunity for Porto!! Helton hits a mammoth punt up the park and the substitute lets the ball come across him but then horribly slices his shot wide! He was under a little pressure but he should have done better.
Dinamo miss a great chance!! Substitute Bryan Carrasco peels off at the back post and had the goal at his mercy after Helton rushed out! But he misjudges his header and the Porto goalkeeper scrambles the ball away!
Porto look to add some fresh legs in attack as Kleber comes on to replace Jackson Martinez.
Sammir slides a pass through to Calello on the right but his driven shot to the near post is well held by Helton, who has been excellent in the occasions that he has been called into action tonight.
Christian Atsu, who has just came on for Varela, chests inside the box and attempts a volley at goal but it clears the crossbar by some distance.
Rodriguez shows excellent pace and skill to drive into the box from the left and lash a cross along the six yard box but Simunic is there to slide the ball away.
Another attacking substitution made from Ante Cacic as Ante Rukavina is replaced by exciting winger Bryan Carrasco. We are in for quite a finale here if the games continues at this tempo.
What a save from Kelava!! James Rodriguez latches on to a pass over the top of the Dinamo defence and powers a half-volley at goal but Kelava palms the ball over the bar! This is end-to-end stuff here!
What a save from Helton!! Sammir whips in a corner kick and the ball ends up with Tonel who attempts a spectacular overhead kick from six yard but the Porto goalkeeper manages to block with a point-blank save!
Moutinho himself steps up and attempts to whip the ball over the Dinamo wall at pace but he put too much behind it and the ball goes over the bar.
Free kick opportunity in an excellent position for Porto as Moutinho is cynically brought down from behind by Calello. Lets see what they can do win this.
First change of the match for Dinamo now as Ademi comes off to be replaced by Fatos Beciraj. An attacking substitution from Ante Cacic.
No matter what player picks up the ball in central areas for Porto whether it be Moutinho or Maicon at the back, their first thought is to look for the runs of Alex Sandro and Miguel Lopes down the wings.
Miguel Lopes and Varela link up excellently on the right to allow the right back to drive forward at pace down the wing but his cross inside is cleared for a corner kick. Porto look incredibly dangerous on the wings.
The hosts need to show a little more attacking ambition if they are to get something out of the match. They are definitely set up for the counterattack, but Porto are not surrendering possession easily.
Porto apply the early pressure again as Moutinho strides forward through the midfield. You have to wonder how effective Porto's midfield would be if the talented 26-year-old had indeed moved to Tottenham in the Summer.
We are back underway in Zagreb! The hosts have a lot of work to do to save this game. They will have plenty of support from the crowd here at Stadion Maksimir, so lets see what they can come up with.
Half time in Zagreb. Porto have controlled possession for the majority of the first 45 minutes and despite some fleeting counterattacks by Dinamo, the Portuguese side managed to score four minutes before half time through Lucho Gonzalez. Ante Cacic has 45 minutes to save his unbeaten record at the club. Will he do it? Join us in 15 minutes to find out!
Dinamo have not lost in 33 games since Ante Cacic took the reins on 23 December 2011, winning 23. This record is currently in real danger of being ended by the Portuguese champions tonight!
Assist Alex Sandro
Goal Lucho González
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAL FOR PORTO!!! Alex Sandro shows his danger down the left again as he drives forward before whipping a low cross into the area! Kelava can only palm to the feet of Lucho, who smashes home!
What a miss from Martinez!!! Well that was the opportunity he was looking for! The Colombian took the ball round Dinamo goalkeeper Ivan Kelava and with the goal at his mercy, allowed Tonel to come in from behind and steal the ball! Incredible!
And perhaps this is starting to frustrate the Colombian as he has just received a telling off from the referee for a foul on Simunic.
Summer Porto signing Jackson Martinez has been quiet so far. He has been in good form at the start of the season but he is not being provided with any decent service at the moment.
Just over thirty minutes gone in the match now and we have not been blessed with a plethora of goalscoring chances so far. Despite Porto's dominance of the ball, they look slightly out of ideas in the final third.
The last few minutes have reverted back to the original formula in the match. Porto with the majority of possession and Dinamo with 10 men behind the ball. The hosts do look decent on the counterattack, however.
Sammir is starting to show little signs of frustration here. With Moutinho and co. controlling possession in midfield, he has started to relentless close them down. However, it is a little too rambunctious, and he end up fouling the Porto man.
Rodriguez looks to pick out Miguel Lopes inside the box with another cross into the centre. Who else is there but Simunic, who once again clears the danger.
Lucho Gonzalez picks up the ball in a deep area and attempts to lift a cross into the area for Jackson Martinez but veteran Dinamo centre back Josip Simunic is there to head to safety. He has been dominant in the air so far for the hosts.
Moutinho is at it again. He picks out Varela with a lovely pass down the right and the Portuguese fizzes a cross into the area. The ball finds its way to Lucho but he is unable to take control and the ball bounces out for a goal kick.
Moutinho has ran the match so far. His neat passing in central areas has kept Porto ticking along nicely. They just need to create some chances now.
Maicon suffers from a rush of blood to the head and drives out of defence before attempting a shot from distance. However, it was a speculative effort, and goes over the crossbar.
James Rodriguez and Alex Sandro once again look to link up down the left-hand side. They look Porto's best chance for a goal so far.
Intelligent play from Porto now. Defour, Moutinho, and Lucho in the middle and cleverly and patiently keeping possession for a few minutes in a bid to stifle the ascendancy of the hosts. Its working too, as the boisterous home crowd are starting to get frustrated.
So unlucky Duje Cop!! The Dinamo striker finds space just to the left of the Porto box and attempts to curl the ball into the far corner but it goes a whisker by the posts! The hosts come close to taking the lead!
Moutinho attempts to pick out Alex Sandro, who again finds himself extremely deep into the Dinamo half, but the ball is intercepted by Domagoj Vida who done well to track back.
The hosts beginning to believe in themselves a little more. Sammir breaks into the penalty area and lashes a shot at goal but his strike is deflected behind by for a corner kick. The crowd sense something could be on the cards for their team and have cranked up the noise!
Porto are already dominant in the game and have controlled possession so far. Alex Sandro and Miguel Lopes are almost acting as second wingers at the moment as they have no threat to deal with at the other end of the park.
Alex Sandro shows a sign of the ambition he will likely show in the game tonight as he goes on a marauding run down the left-hand side. However, his cross is poor and fails to reach any team-mates.
Dinamo already look to be set out in a cautious manner. Perhaps they fear the threat of Porto. The 4-2-3-1 formation they have set out with could easily been adapted into a 4-5-1, which they are fielding at the moment.
WE ARE UNDERWAY IN ZAGREB!
Something is going to have to give tonight, as Dinamo have never been on the losing side against a Portuguese team at the Stadion Maksimir.
Dinamo look to be setting up in a 4-2-3-1 formation whereas Porto are opting for a 4-3-3. Interesting indeed.
This is the starting XI of Porto: Helton;Miguel Lopes, Maicon, Otamendi, Alex Sandro; Lucho González, Moutinho, Defour; Rodriguez, Martinez, Varela.
The teams are in and this is how Dinamo will be lining up tonight: Kelava; Vida, Simunic, Tonel, Pivaric; Calello, Ademi; Sammir, Brozovic, Rukavina; Cop.
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action this evening. Lets hope this Champions League opener will have a quality of play fitting to the occasion!
