Croatia on the other hand sqaundered a glorious chance through Sammir just ten minutes later but couldn't keep his half-volley down. They are really missing the creativity of Modrid in the middle of the park and will perhaps feel they need to change their style in the second-half if they are to claim an important victory.
Scotland will be pleased with their first-half showing as whilst they haven't created an awful lot in the final third, they have contained Croatia well after an early flurry of enthusiasm.
Belgium, Croatia's rivals for first-place, will be pleased with the performance of the home side at the moment - or rather lack of. They are leading Serbia by one goal to nil in their fixture which piles even more pressure on Croatia if they wish to finish top of the group.
