• Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, Verona
Referee: A. De Marco
• Attendance: 20000
C. Théréau 28'
F. Quagliarella 47'
A. Bernardini 65' (own goal)
That's my cue, bye for now folks.
A very lucky Juventus side have taken all three points here in Verona, after seeing a legitimate Chievo goal disallowed, and winning the game thanks to an own goal. Questions will surround the officiating here, but as far as Juve are concerned, its a vital win that keeps them right near the top of the table.
90' + 4'
Full time folks, Juve take the points.
90' + 3'
Chievo waste a long ball thanks to Pellissier's offside, and that may just be the end of their ambitions in this game.
90' + 2'
Juve doing what they need to do to stifle this one and milk the clock.
90' + 1'
Into the first of three minutes of stoppage time.
The hustle and energy of Tevez on the ball is a useful weapon for Juve to keep the ball out of their own half.
Chievo showing nothing that suggests their willingness to snatch a point from this one, because as I mentioned, they're sapped of their stamina.
End of a tough, trying game for Llorente, who is replaced by Vidal.
Looks like Vidal to come on for Juve, and Pellissier for Chievo.
Both teams looking rather tired in the last minutes. It's been a dogfight at times, and I think the tanks are just about running on empty.
Juve doing their best to kill off this game and take all the sting out of the visitors. Possession and patience are the watchwords for the closing stages.
Tevez does well to win the ball in the midfield, and goes barreling towards goal. He always has eyes for a shot, but Drame is the man who steps in to muscle the Argentine off the ball at the top of the box. Hint of a pull from the defender.
Pirlo's been rather below par today, he's coughed up the ball multiple times and really hasn't been as incisive as usual with his passing.
Play has slowed down a tad as Juve try to see this one through. Chievo have 13 minutes to make something happen, not a good number given their complete lack of fortune in this game.
It is Quagliarella, in fact, to make his exit for the Argentine.
Tevez is being put through his paces on the sidelines, my bet is Llorente to depart, though don't sleep on Quagliarella as one to make way either.
Llorente goes down yet again, but he's not getting any love from the referee. A static and awkward game for him, he's still a long way from making himself a fixture in this Juve side.
Lichtsteiner has already looked more comfortable out on the right than Isla, but makes a bad decision on a counter attack that sees it fall flat.
Where do Chievo go from here? They've looked dangerous, and surely have to throw caution to the wind with just over 20 minutes remaining!
Juve are very lucky to be ahead here, despite their second half improvement. But take nothing away from Pogba though, Juve's most impressive player, and who forced that own goal with another menacing cross.
Own Goal Alessandro Bernardini
Oh how dreadfully unfortunate for the home side, as Bernardini, at full stretch, can only divert Pogba's cross into his own net.
CHIEVO OWN GOAL!
Indeed it is the disappointing Isla who makes way for the Swiss full back.
Chievo very neat whenever they counter, but once in range of goal, their composure has betrayed them. Meanwhile, Lichtsteiner looks to be coming on, and my money's on Isla as the sacrifice.
The game really picking up in the second half, as Juve discover their attacking mojo, while Chievo look very dangerous on the break. And with Buffon having the jitters in goal, it's anyone's game.
MARCHISIO! A thunderous drive that just clips the shin of Rigoni, giving Puggioni a lot to do to tip over!
Surprising to see Isla still on the pitch to be honest, with Asamoah and especially Lichtsteiner on the bench, both very capable wingbacks.
Juve attack, oh never mind, Isla gives the ball away once more.
Ogbonna up against the pace of Paloschi, and Buffon had to come out quickly to slide the ball away outside his box.
Play resumes with the home side a wounded animal and looking dangerous, playing with a sense of injustice. Juve can count themselves lucky not to be another goal down.
Now Bentivoglio joins the referee's notebook for remonstrating with the official on the far side who had originally made the call.
Yellow Card Simone Bentivoglio
It's all kicking off here as Sardo, rightfully incensed at that decision against his team, bizarrely kicks the ball the length of the field into his own net while play was still paused. Yellow for the full back.
Yellow Card Gennaro Sardo
Buffon has just been rescued by the offside flag, in a very controversial disallowed goal. The keeper spilled a shot badly, and it was converted by Paloschi on the rebound, from a clearly onside position.
Game on here. Now the onus is back on the home side. What can they do?
Goal Fabio Quagliarella
No changes at the beak for either side. Given Juve's sterility in the first half, you would have expected Conte to shake things up, but he's decided to let the current crop have a chance at redeeming themselves.
Here we go again folks.
A trying game for the Italian champions, who have really struggled to convert their superior possession into goalscoring opportunities. Chievo took full advantage of a Buffon mistake to take the lead midway through the first half, and are doing their best to stifle Juve in defence. Second half in just a bit.
45' + 1'
Juve fail to make anything happen in added time, and the ref signals for the break.
We will have one minute to round off the half.
Juve pass the ball around the box for what seems like an eternity, and finally Quagliarella makes space for a shot that's deflected high into the range of Llorente at the far post. But when you consider that his aerial ability is something of a forte, Llorente's header is poor, weak and right at the keeper.
Estigarribia with a dangerous cross on the left that Ogbonna heads clear. But the Chievo man should never have had the space to do so, some more poor defending from Isla.
Quagliarella shifts the ball onto his left peg, 30 yards from goal, and lets fly with a vicious strike. Puggioni was well placed to stop the shot, but it was too hot to handle and he pushes it away.
Claiton and Cesar in the Chievo defence have not put a foot wrong as yet. By contrast Isla and Peluso, the Juve wingbacks, have been really poor, not providing any sort of width.
Juve continuing to turn the screw in the Chievo half, but again, the chances are hard to come by.
Two chances in quick succession for Juve, Quagliarella sees a volley on the turn blocked, Pirlo collects the rebound, shoots and sees that one deflected just over.
Quagliarella gets the ball, his back to goal at the near post, and tries to sneak in a shot, but Claiton, his marker, is on him all the way and blocks.
Chievo have some real wind in their sails, confidence is on a high. It was Buffon's poor distribution that allowed that goal to happen.
Assist Gennaro Sardo
Goal Cyril Thereau
A dreadfully poor clearance out of the back from Juventus sees the home side recover the ball in an advanced position. It's quickly slid through by Bentivoglio to Thereau, who curls a fine finish into the bottom corner.
Paloschi sneaks through on the left, and passes into Thereau, who bobbles a weak shot through to Buffon.
The match continues to trickle on, Juve controlling things but not having any luck in the chance creation department.
More misery for Isla as he is caught painfully on the back of his leg by Drame. At least the Chievo man sees yellow for the infraction.
Not a good game for Isla so far. He's been dispossessed numerous times, and seems to be hesitant when playing the ball, never a good thing.
Yellow Card Boukary Dramé
Chievo very well organized at the back. Juve are looking to push the ball wide and get crosses into the box, but so far, the hosts have defended dillegently.
POGBA jumps well to meet a Peluso cross, but possibly timed his jump too early, and plants it over the bar.
Llorente over the bar on a half-chance for Juve. it's been that sort of game so far.
Chievo really struggling to get a grip on this strong Juve midfield.
Juve enjoying slightly more possession than their opponents, but it's been a generally cagey game so far, more tactical and trench warfare than anything.
Not positive signs for Chievo today, as they have won only one of their last 20 games against Juve, with the Old Lady claiming 13 wins and six draws in the other 19 games.
Disappointing from Llorente. Another ball into the area from Pogba is aimed towards the big Spaniard, but he fails to make any kind of meaningful contact on it.
Pogba again trying to work the ball into the box, he spots the open Llorente, but Puggioni gets across to block the ball.
Early opening for Juventus, as Pogba whips in a decent cross for Quagliarella to reach, but he misses the target with his header.
Here we go, Chievo get us underway.
Chievo also managed a 2-1 comeback win over the weekend, against Udinese, with goals from Sergio Pellissier and Luca Regoni bettering an early strike by Maicosuel. It was just the Gialloblu's first league win of the season however, and they've taken only four points from their first four games.
Juve have made a solid enough start to the season, winning three and drawing one of their opening four games, to trail ealry Serie A leaders Roma and Napoli by two points. It's not all been easy though, as they were forced to dig deep for a come from behind 2-1 win against Chievo's neighbours Hellas Verona at home on the weekend.
JUVENTUS: Buffon, Barzagli, Ogbonna, Chiellini, Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso, Quagliarella, Llorente.
CHIEVO: Puggioni; Sardo, Claiton, Cesar, Drame, Bernardini; Bentivoglio, Rigoni, Estigarribia; Paloschi, Thereau.
Here are our teams for tonight's game.
