Yellow Card Giorgio Chiellini
90' + 5'
It finishes 0-0 Chievo- Juventus. There were some bright sparks for both sides, but the biggest talking point may be the penalty not given to Pellissier. Del Peiro nearly snatched the win with his header that hit the post, but in the end both sides had to settle for a point. I hope you enjoyed the match coverage here at Goal.com. 90' + 5'
Del Piero is taken down right outside the box and Juventus have a last-gasp free-kick. The entire team besides Buffon is in the box. Before Pirlo can take the kick, Sorrentino is booked. Pirlo tries again but another player goes down and this time Chiellini is booked! Pirlo finally sends in a ball but it's cleared and the referee blows the final whistle.
90' + 4'
Yellow Card Stefano Sorrentino
90' + 3'
Hetemaj goes on a mazy run after a spectacular turn but eventually loses the ball to the Juventus defense. Immediately on the other end Del Piero nearly has a chance but it results in nothing other than a Chievo goal-kick.
90' + 2'
Four minutes of time have been added on by the fourth official. Thereau pounces on a Juventus mistake to whip in a dangerous cross but no one from Chievo is able to reach it!
90' + 1'
Cruzado lofts the ball in but it amounts to little. Chievo win a throw in deep in Juventus's half shortly after but Buffon is easily able to collect the ensuing cross.
The game is in its final moments and neither side has found a way to break down the other, despite some close calls. Lichtsteiner concedes a free kick after a Cruzado cross hits his hand outside the box.
Del Piero tries an audacious volley as he was streaking wide of goal but his shot goes well wide.
Yellow Card Simone Pepe
Pepe is booked for a poor challenge on Hetemaj, who went down with a very audible moan of pain.
Pirlo sends in a very dangerous ball from his free kick but the Chievo defense shepherds it out and away from the lurking Vucinic.
Yellow Card Davide Mandelli
Mandelli booked for hauling down Del Piero on a counter-attack.
Pepe makes an acrobatic flying clearance to prevent a dangerous Chievo cross from doing damage. Bradley takes the ensuing penalty, but De Marco forces him to take it again. On the next try it's cleared off the line by Del Piero! The ball snuck past Buffon and nearly into the net but the Juventus forward was alert and just smashed it away after Pellissier nearly scored there!
Barzagli concedes a free-kick after a poor challenge on the countering Chievo attack.
Substitute Giachherini has just motioned to Conte that he needs to come off as he appears to be in some discomfort. The coach sends on Estigariribia in his place.
Pepe goes down after a light push from Jokic, winning Juventus another free kick. Pirlo stands ominously over it before whipping it in dangerously. He finds Vucinic, whose powerful header goes wide, but De Marco had whistled for an infringement by Chiellini.
From a corner kick, Bonucci makes a diving swing at the ball and blasts it over the crossbar.
The game has suddenly sparked to life! Pepe directs a great shot on target that Sorrentino has to dive to his right to save!
Pellissier goes down in the box after Chiellini's rough handling in the box... but the referee calls for a goal-kick instead of a penalty.

Yellow Card Michael Bradley
Bradley is booked for a poor tackle from behind on Vidal. The Chilean was streaking through the midfield after capitalizing on a poor pass from the American.
Alessandro Del Piero
As a poor ball from Chiellini rolls out for a goal-kick, Morero comes off for Mandelli, as the defender's injury has taken its toll. Alessandro Del Piero comes on for Marchisio with thunderous approval from the traveling fans.
This does not look good for the Chievo captain, who injured himself in a clash with Chiellini moments earlier. He's limping heavily off the pitch for treatment.
Juventus are having a tougher time breaking down Chievo's backline now, and resort to long crosses. Giaccherini continues play while Pellissier is down injured, much to the ire of the Chievo players.
Morero appears to be alright as he's allowed back onto the pitch immediately after going off.
Chievo look to be in more injury trouble as now Morero is down in quite some pain. The player goes off to receive treatment.
Marchisio catches Thereau late and Chievo find themselves with a free-kick. It's drifted in deep in the box and not properly cleared at first but Thereau's poor pass allows Juventus to press forward.
Cruzado is coming on for Sammarco now, as Di Carlo looks to get his side back into the game after being pinned down for much of this second half.
Barzagli and Pellissier clash on a Chievo counter but the referee waves play on. Juventus immediately counter and Lichtsteiner whips a cross into the far post, which Giaccherini fails to control.
Giaccherini makes some space on the edge of the box and fires a shot just over the bar!
Pirlo orchestrates a flowing Juventus attack that ends with Chiellini's shot, right at Sorrentino.
Yellow Card Paolo Sammarco
Pirlo loses the ball to Sammarco, forcing Chiellini to make a dangerous tackle to prevent the counter. The ineffective Krasic is out for Giaccherini.
Whatever Antonio Conte said to his men at halftime, it's working very well. This Juventus is much better than the side from the first half, playing with a real verve to their game now.
Vucinic finds himself in a great position in front of the net but he's flagged offside.
Lichtsteiner goes wide to Krasic, who crosses it back to Marchisio... the midfielder takes a shot that gos just wide of the net! That's much better from Juventus!
It's been a much more lively start to the second half. Krasic and Vucinic break on the counter but the latter's pass to the former is woefully underhit and lets the Chievo defense intercept.
Vidal tries to find Vucinic in the box with a lofted through ball but Sorrentino reaches it first, to the striker's visible dismay.
And the second half has kicked off! Neither coach has made any changes during the break. Immediately from the kickoff Vucinic races into the box, plays the ball wide for Krasic, and dives to get the return pass on target but redirects it out for a goalkick.
45' + 2'
De Marco blows the whistle and ends the first half. By no means a classic, each side had one memorable chance- Chievo, from Buffon's spill, and Bonucci's header at the very end. The game is in dire need of a goal but it seems ever closer as both sides looked much more deadly as the game progressed. Join us in 15 minutes for the second half!
45' + 1'
Thereau gives away a free kick after catching Vidal from behind right to the side of the Chievo box. Pirlo stands over the ball... and his effort finds Bonucci in front of the net, but the centre-back heads over the bar!
Morero slides well to cut out a dangerous pass that Chiellini had sent Vucinic's way.
Barzagli does well to clear a dangerous ball that Bradley had sent into the Juventus box.
Great pressing from the likes of Bradley and Rigoni forces Juventus to play the ball all the way back to their defense.
Vidal and Krasic both go down in the Chievo box but the referee awards a free-kick to Sorrentino! The latter received the ball in an offside position and De Marco brushes away the penalty shouts.
Chiellini and Vucinic team up in the centre of the pitch but the former's pass to the latter is just overhit.
Juventus are making far too many mistakes in possession and Di Carlo's men are always right on top of them, waiting to pounce on the ball. Bradely epitomizes the effort as he races back and nicks the ball from Pirlo's foot.
After a long spell of possession Pepe disappointingly ends an attacking play after receiving the ball in an offside position.
Vucinic gets in the way of a Morero clearance; the ball bounces off his head right towards Sorrentino, who does well to catch it despite the surprising deflection.
A deep cross nearly finds Vidal on the byline but it's fractionally too long for the new transfer to get. Immediately on the other end Bradley slides a dangerous pass through Juve's box but the away side take a breath as no one is there to take advantage!
Nearly every Juventus attack is coming down Lichtsteiner's flank, with the fullback much more adept at attacking than his counterpart, Chiellini. The latter of course began his career as a fullback before spending much of the last few years as a centre-back.
Pirlo stands over yet another free kick after another foul from the home side. He once again plays it short but Chievo managed to steal the ball and go forward. The attack ends abruptly after Bradley's poor pass, however.
The home side are starting to become more involved in the match after an opening half hour dominated mostly by Juventus. Their pressing is working very well against the away side but the home team cannot seem to get a decent attempt on goal.
Yellow Card Santiago Morero
Morero booked now for dragging Pirlo down whilst the player had possession.
A deflected shot has given Chievo a corner, which Michael Bradley whips into the box. Buffon parries the shot but Cesar collects and earns his side another corner once his shot is deflected. Bradley stands over it once again... and it just misses everyone in the box.
Vidal attempts a through ball to Vucinic but hits the pass on the wrong side of the former Roma striker, which allows Sorrentino to easily collect.
Di Carlo is telling his men to just work on controlling the play now as the Juve defense sends a very poor long-ball forward.
At the last second Nicolas Frey has come on for the injured Sardo instead of Andreolli.
Nicolas Sebastien Frey
Yellow Card Cyril Thereau
Thereau nicks the ball away from Pirlo in a very dangerous area and slides the ball in goal past Buffon... but the referee had whistled for the foul and Thereau is booked instead! The striker is furious!
Oh and this is not good as Sardo pulls up while making an overlapping run. The players is down clutching his leg and he appears to have pulled something. Di Carlo is forced to send on Andreolli for the heavily limping Sardo.
Sardo knocks Vidal clean off his feet whilst trying to recoup possession from a poor Sorrentino clearance. The Chilean is unharmed and Pirlo takes the free kick short, as usual, before whipping it wide to Lichtsteiner. Juventus lose the ball on the edge of the Chievo box however.
Both sides lose possession in quick succession after a series of overhit passes. The away side regain the ball and Pepe whips in a dangerous cross which Jokic can just clear to the edge of the box.
Jokic gives away a free kick after stepping on Krasic's foot. Pirlo plays the ball wide to Lichtsteiner who whips in a cross... it finds Pepe but he heads over as the defense does just enough to put him off balance!
Juventus win a free kick after Bonucci is fouled inside his own half. Conte's men take it short and look to build out of the back; Pirlo finds Chiellini well but the move ends soon after when the former Milan maestro overhits a pass into the penalty box.
Chievo press Juventus insistently but cannot seem to pry the ball away from the Old Lady at the moment. The home side get a reprieve as Pirlo's over the top pass only finds an offside Vucinic.
Nervy moments in the Juventus backline! Chievo drill a free kick directly on goal from about 25 yards out. Buffon bends down to catch the ball but it bounces off his knee and rolls around dangerously in front of goal! He quickly pounces before Chievo can take advantage.
Another half-chance for the away side as Pepe gets into the box with the ball but dribbles himself out of bounds. It's been all Juventus thus far early in the match, but Hetemaj does get a shot on goal that fails to trouble Buffon.
Lichtsteiner has won Juventus a corner which Pirlo plays short to Vidal- who gets a shot in that deflects out for another corner! This time the ball is cleared by the Chievo defense.
Marchisio nips in and snatches the ball from Sardo just outside the Chievo box, but the Juventus midfielder is too eager to fire off a shot instead of passing and loses the ball far too easily.
Andrea Pirlo trying a very long range pass to find the onrushing Milos Krasic but it's too far for the winger to reach ahead of Sorrentino.
Michael Bradley loses possession in a very dangerous area and Mirko Vucinic nearly takes advantage of the opportunity to get a shot across, but Sorrentino is out quickly to smother the attempt.
The central midfield is absolutely flooded by both teams, who cannot seem to get more than a few yards before losing possession. Width will likely be the key to the match.
And we have kick-off! Chievo are attacking towards the right in their usual yellow kits whereas Juventus play in their traditional black and white stripes. Good pressing from the home side forces Chiellini to be very creative in clearing the ball.
The two sides are now walking out from the dressing rooms and onto the pitch in Verona. Andrea De Marco will the the referee this afternoon.
We're minutes away from kick-off, and if early season form is anything to expect, the match should be quite entertaining. Both sides are averaging more than a goal per game this season, with Juventus at nearly double that. However the home-side tend to leak around one goal per match, whereas Conte's men have been much more solid at the back.
The home side have no shortage of options either, with the likes of promising youngster Alberto Paloschi, new signing Rinaldo Cruzado and former Inter defender Marco Andreolli all available to Di Carlo. Chievo bench: Puggioni, Andreolli, Frey, Vacek, Cruzado, Paloschi, Moscardelli
Both sides have plenty of quality available on their respective benches, should either coach decide that the starting XI is not quite cutting it. Juventus can call upon no fewer than five possible attacking players, though Paolo De Ceglie is the only defensive reserve Conte can utilize during the course of this match. Juventus bench: Storari, De Ceglie, Giaccherini, Estigarribia, Del Piero, Matri, Quagliarella
This tie last year ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with goals coming from Fabio Quagliarella in the 31st and a last-gasp game-changer from Sergio Pellissier from the home side. In general, matches between the two sides tend to favor Juventus; in 16 matches played, the Old Lady has won 11 and drawn 4, leaving Chievo with a solitary win.
Juventus unsurprisingly have made no changes to the side that defeated AC Milan 2-0 two weeks ago, which means that captain Alessandro Del Piero is once again on the bench. Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Krasic, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Pepe; Vucinic.
The official lineups for both sides have been announced. The home team has made two changes up front from the side that tied Cesena 0-0 away last round, bringing in Sammarco for Cruzado and Thereau for the missing Moscardelli. Sorrentino; Sardo, Morero, Cesar, Jokic; Bradley, Rigoni, Hetemaj; Sammarco; Thereau, Pellissier.
Welcome to Goal.com's match coverage of Chievo-Juventus! Serie A has resumed following the international break as Antonio Conte's men travel to the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona looking to continue their superb league-leading form. However, Domenico Di Carlo's men, despite a mediocre start to the season, have not yet lost at home and have even defeated Napoli in their fortress. Can the Old Lady pull off the win?
